  1. Typical obfuscation by schmarmy little aparatchiks. The REAL NAZI’s are those who work at Google, Twitter and Facebook hiding behind Algorithims that have Extreme Bias built-in against anything that Questions, or disagrees with anything even remotely associated with the following subjects.

    Break em up..? No, Obliterate them…and forthwith, any NEW social media company MUST not only adhere to, but fully promote the 1st Amendment of the US Constitution…One that thinking Canadians could only wish we had. (IMO)

You mean schmarmy little aparatchiks like Google exec Jen Gennai, who revealed Google’s plans for massive in-kind contributions to the Democrats presidential campaign by biasing Google’s algorithms massively against Republican voters, and then , denied it, even claiming she was a victim in the expose. Of course these sorts of planned expenditures are strictly illegal if coordinated with the presidential candidate’s campaign which of course is what these liberals always seem to do, in violation of the law.

      Last I saw she had deleted her Twitter account, and is presumably holed up in a Google safe house somewhere, hunkering down to launch a propaganda counter-offensive.

      It is unfortunate we in Canada are further down the road of state censorship, and the re-imposition of HRC Section 13 is looming. We ae becoming “Whisperers”.

    3. My refusal to bake a lesbian wedding cake is deemed HATE speech by BIG Social Media. My “denial” of the “existential threat” of Global Warming is deemed HATE speech by BIG Social Media. My personal opinions, and “alternative” learning is deemed HATE. Why? Because doing so summmarily ENDS the “conversation” these leftists are always calling-for.

      You all know that I live in the belly of the Leftist Beast. Therefore, I have been immersed in these people’s lives for my entire existence (although it REALLY turned for the worse in the last 30 years). These people HATE Free Speech. They always have. They HATE anyone who questions their beliefs. They REFUSE to debate their beliefs. They REFUSE to ever answer a single question about their deep seated beliefs.

      An example of this is a lunch I attended a couple years ago with a group of local professionals in the same line of work. When discussing the “need” to raise gas taxes and institute carbon taxes … I suggested that such actions were a regressive tax on the poor and middle class. The group immediately shouted me down, telling me that was ridiculous (because these were only “small” increases). When I suggested they were all to “wealthy and comfortable” to feel the impact of these taxes and were incapable of “feeling” the pain of these taxes in the way poor-er people did … they simply called me a right wing Nazi. End of conversation. End of discussion.

      This IS who leftists are. At their core, they’re Fascists. “Progressive”, my ass … they welcome Fascism. Fascism that does their bidding.

    Supporting your enemies to get them “broken up”… I do not understand the strategy here. Maybe the same people who have us paying a carbon tax to fight the carbon tax are advising Kate?

  4. I remember when it was taken for granted that everyone had access to cable and a phone line no matter their politics. It was also taken for granted that sexually offensive or crude language was verbotim but expressing your political views was perfectly ok, no matter where on the spectrum those views may lie. Well, maybe this only existed in the US, but to a lesser extant it did happen here.
    Now we have insane, confused men teaching children to shove things in their rear hole but any sort of right wing talk and you get the duct tape treatment.
    If this were a healthy Western country, the tech giants would be nationalized, or at least, as Kate says, broken up and subjected to 1st Ammendment laws.
    The principal of the free market does not apply in this case because these companies have effectively monopolized the “town square.”

        Talk about stupid talking points: your remarks show utter ignorance of the antitrust law of the United States, which explicitly states that private companies cannot monopolize any market, or enter into combinations in restraint of trade.

        Sorry to remind you, but for profit tech companies never got an exemption to anti-trust law. Breaking up google would promote competition in online advertising, resulting ultimately in lower prices for consumers and lower profits for Google.

        Why are you siding with a monopolist against the public good?

    3. Dude, you reminded me of how the leftists constantly call for every corner of America to be given internet access. That every “underserved” community MUST get wired so they can “compete” in the technological world. They’re demanding … Access for all.

      Then, they turn around and throttle access for … people and ideas they … don’t like.

      1. I’m not arguing for guaranteed access to all, buy historically that is how our countries have approached new communication technologies; they have brought these technologies to all and guaranteed access.
        I think these private companies imposing censorship and denial of financial services has demonstrated the peril of allowing these companies free reign and also demonstrated the control corporations now have over democratically elected governments. I have to side with Naomi Klein here (BARF) and say that corporations have too much power.

  6. Stop using google. It’s evil and everyone should abandon it. There are real alternatives.
    Alternative browsers: Brave or Epic. Check them out while you can.
    Alternative search engine: DuckDuckgo. When you use google search you are feeding the monster that wants to devour you.

    1. It’s a noble suggestion, but it’s not sufficient to bring Silicone Valley to heel. If every conservative or libertarian aware of their abuses left the platforms, they wouldn’t even notice it. These companies are now so large and so opaque, only someone with a bigger stick can make them sit up and take notice. It’s a terrible, awful solution, but at this point all the others are worse.

    When will we stop allowing ourselves being defined by the different shades and tribes of socialists/communists mis-used of language.
    Using the term Nazi (From Mussolini’s socialist regime in Italy) to the terms “left and right” in politics are all the baggage of the international socialist movement. Nazis can only be socialists thats where the term comes from, left and right is an internal argument between the socialist trying damned hard to distance themselves from the crimes of supposed different socialists committed during the second world war, we all know that, right?
    What we should be doing is making them own the crime.

    As to Kate posting utube and twatter, its her blog granted and we don’t have to view them (in my case my old browser can’t access twatter videos), just like links to The Guardian or NYT or worse the bias broadcasting crap,
    I’m not interested in their bias, so won’t dignify them with the click, wether its Kate posting or anyone else.

  8. Can Google and Facebook ban blacks because they are black?
    Can Google and Facebook ban gays because they are gay?
    Can Google and Facebook ban muslims because they are muslim?
    Can Google and Facebook ban conservatives because they are conservatives?

    The ‘It’s a private company so they can do what they want’ argument doesn’t work for the first three examples.

    Are conservatives an identifiable minority?
    They must be, since we hear how conservative views are fringe and not mainstream no matter how much support they have.

    How is ‘having conservative beliefs’ any different from ‘having muslim beliefs’?
    There is no skin colour or sexual orientation involved, it is simply a matter of what the person believes.
    Why is it okay for these private companies to discriminate against one minority group that is only defined by their beliefs but it would provoke outrage and would in fact clearly be illegal if they were to discriminate against another minority group that is only defined by their beliefs?

    The ‘It’s a private company, start your own Google or Facebook or Twitter if you don’t like it’ argument is bullshit.
    It is currently illegal to discriminate against a minority group based on their beliefs.
    Go after them using those existing laws.
