It’s their house

It doesn’t really matter to me what Quebec demands of it’s immigrants. Good for them, when there is demand, you can be stingy. I would like to point out that if Saskatchewan or Alberta were to put these restrictions on new immigrants (which we should), we would be blasted for being racist Nazi’s.

Quebec, though? Hmmm, well, there is an election on, you know.

  1. I wonder about this pilot program in 11 communities in “regions confronting severe labour shortages due to a youth exodus, declining birth rate and aging population.” What is the federal government going to do to encourage new immigrants to settle there that they can’t or won’t do to encourage the existing population to stay, work, and raise families there? It’s almost as if the government of Canada is incapable of managing the country’s affairs to the satisfaction of Canadians and they want to replace us with a different population that they think they can govern.

      not, btw… the onion…

“Facing a massive surge in gang-related crimes, in particular
involving the use of hand grenades, police in Sweden have
introduced a three-month-long amnesty for… [wait for it]
      explosive goods‘.”

  2. Ah yes, another government created housing shortage in the works.
West Kootenays? Sorry, this area has no extra housing available, and while it may be a sleepy area (no insult intended) its a nice rural style area, but there is no booming industry for the hooded women and their owners to work at. Just more welfare for the desert dwellers.
Vernon? Expensive housing, already under pressure by normal issues of people moving to a city smaller than Kelowna. Just where will the desert dwellers with their hooded women live? I’m sure they need their slave labour for janitors, sweepers, dishwashers, fast food, and the like, but really?
The LIberals are truly idiots, dumb as trees, always trying to put square pegs in round holes

    1. Agree with the comment re the West Kootenays. It’s Cominco and sawmills, and not that much else (Nelson, the exception, is a government town). I doubt there’s a labour shortage there. And it’s not a “community” either; it’s a large area.

      1. Yes, like much of BC, Canada for that matter, there’s rural living and crown land between the towns. The kootenay towns are relatively small, there are no available massive housing rooms available at all.
Will they put into tents? Winters are cold too.
Just another VERY poorly conceived “feel good” LIEberal idea. Meant to look good (to some) but totally impractical

  3. Just popped over to Drudge. Apparently, there are still people who think polls are serious.

“SHOCK POLL, BERNIE LEADS TRUMP BY 9 POINTS”.

I think people are finally taking my advice, and simply lying to pollsters. You know you are going to get doxxed if you say on the phone that you support Trump … so, pick Warren, or Biden, or Bernie instead.

It would be truly epic for pollsters to tell Bernie he had 100% support, there to be zero Trump lawn signs on the continent, and for Trump to still win.

Our greatest weapon, is simply letting them think they have successfully jumped in front of a parade.

  4. Blasted as racists is right, and we all know that Trudeau told us at one time that the best prime ministers come from Quebec (couldn’t find the video).

    1. “Québec Sait Faire”
They threw out the Anglos circa 1970s. They’ve been trying to make up for it ever since.

Ken- Here’s that early video of Justhin bragging. He forgot to include Liberal Prime Minister Sir Wilfred Laurier who was Canada’s first French Canadian PM from Quebec (1896-1911)

(How stupid is he, the man is on the $5 Bill)

      https://youtu.be/vEyjgn6zD5Q

      1. Thanks Nancy. That is the video I was thinking of. That is the real Trudeau.

        1. You’re welcome! That is the real smarty pants Trudeau.
The way he speaks French Canadian gets on ones’ nerves, because he is a real snob trying to speak street French. He maybe sounds more like the people that he met at Brébeuf College, imo.

    2. Strange that Trudy has been episode calmly silent over his “pays” enabling a “racist” law. Anywhere else in this country would be subject to overwhelming Liberal condemnation.
Quebec? ……….crickets from Trugroper…..wouldn’t have anything with a coming election, would it?

  5. Just ask the people of Brooks, Alberta about the “continued vibrancy of rural areas”. I remember what it was like more than 30 years ago before it was “strengthened” through diversity.

  6. I wonder what the voting histories of these regions are.

We all know that EVERY decision, EVERY move the partisan left makes is for power. As per the Liberals avoiding Quebec in this scheme, they usually have the province locked up, so why would they bother ‘seeding’ liberal voters there? That’s how I see it, anyways.

    1. Good point. At least some of the areas mentioned are currently solid conservative voting regions with growing economies who should have no difficulty attracting the right kind of immigrant on their own.

  7. IMHO this is what it has become. Any thought that a mainstream politician is going to restore sanity is mute.It includes Scheer and Max. Should one of them win it would at best be a temporary slight reprieve and likely the ssdd. It is time to leave this union. Friday I listened to Gormley list the impediments to this process and the likley hood of a long path to achieve it if possible. It occurred to me that it is unlikely their is any political leader or party that is going to jump off their gravy train and bring forward an independence referendum. As we have seen how the media has labelled the yellow vest movement protest has difficulty overcoming the bias. We will easily be labelled. Voting is ineffective. In order to achieve change we will need to take control of the political parties. That means buying memberships in numbers of people in large enough to bring forward a referendum provincially. The people must take control of the parties in power and it must be the intent of joining. It will face significant impediments as so many benefit from the status quo.

    1. True. It is shocking how a legitimate protest movement (yellow vests) has been discredited in Canada by the left and the media. Antifa, however is tolerated and sometimes cheered. Anyone questioning the aggressive immigration policy is viewed as anti-immigrant. Canada does not tolerate different views very well – especially conservative views many of which reflect moderation and common sense.

  8. Trust me, as an immigrant who’s lived in 3 of those Ontario cities… North Bay is NOT suffering from overemployment.

      1. The town in northern B. C. where I grew up has an “Islamic centre”, which is a small house.

  9. What did Claresholm do to warrant an invasion? 97.5% English speaking. 93% white. Virtually 100% Christian or Christian origin. They’re sorry.

    1. What did Claresholm do to warrant an invasion? 97.5% English speaking. 93% white. Virtually 100% Christian or Christian origin.

The answer is in your second sentence. Why isn’t this classified as “ethnic cleansing”?

        1. Cardston ha ha. Can you buy a beer there yet?

Back in the day I had an ‘encounter’ with a gal under the trees in front of the tabernacle…….they’ve probably got a special place in hell reserved for me. She wasn’t Mormon.

  10. The people of Quebec elect competent leadership, not sheep dogs guarding the flock… The use of the “Not withstanding Clause” eliminates Court over reach, or the silly UN International Law….

What the hell is wrong with Alberta & Sask allowing BC & the Courts to Land Lock them…Pass a law denying Transportation to, or from the West coast & use the “Not withstanding Clause” to handcuff the corrupt Courts……Same with all Federal laws that seek to control & punish.. Grow UP

Not sure about the end result for Quebec, but elections have consequences….I am not Anti-Muslim, but if it (Square) doesn’t fit in the round hole. You be gone….

    JMHO

  11. Trudeau/Liberals: “The problem with Canada is there’s too many Canadians.”

As CO said earlier, this is about seeding conservative communities with left wing/liberal voters.

When they came for the liberals I didn’t say anything because I was laughing too hard.

  12. I think its only appropriate to let our aboriginal raiders know that these ‘refugees’ have new cars, money, are scared of guns, and are all alone.

I wonder how long it’ll take before they become the preferred target in rural areas.

Hey did you know they have hashish and gold?

    1. Really confused by a federal government that claims to be all about aboriginal rights while admitting more migrants, the sort of which believe North American natives to be somewhere between dogs and swine (ask one sometime), into the country at the rate of a million every three years?

      1. There should be no confusion, we have a liberal insane government and a marginally insane electorate.

  13. Severe labour shortage in Vernon BC???

    Bullpuckey!

People are moving there just because it’s one of the most desirable places in Canada to live, and then trying to find work that pays enough to live on. One of my relatives tried that a few years ago and had to give up and move back north. The biggest employment problem there is too many people chasing too few jobs and driving down wages.

  14. So are there any jobs available in the communities they did select? My impression is that these are relatively impoverished areas, with too few jobs available eveb for locals. Who will employ the new immigrants.

  15. Maxime Bernier
    @MaximeBernier
Another poll, another overwhelming result in favour of lower immigration levels: 63%

ALL the other parties favour mass immigration.

    The
    @peoplespca

  16. If Quebec puts muslims under the gun and actually forces them to assimilate to even a modest degree what will become of trudeau’s riding and votes?

  17. Attracting and retaining newcomers with the needed skills

So illiterate muslims and sundry gereatric relatives will not be coming then. We’ll be settling atomic scientists, car mechanics, school teachers and plumbers?

I fear the only skills a Liberal newcomer requires is how to apply for government services. I hope I am wrong but tell me, how does an illiterate muslim woman from some god-foresaken place who does not even speak English manage to qualify for handouts? Answer: The government needs “clients” AKA serfs.

  18. Did anyone screenshot the link? It looks like the Cbc is (cough, cough) whitewashing it, can’t find anything.
