    The only question or point of reading the NDP platform,is to see what the Liberal Platform will be.As they seem to copy whatever polls well with the freeloading section of society.

      1. No need for more gas as I think its accelerating. The percentages to the left of an already left country are huge. Most Canadians don’t believe in individual rights and liberty. They think group rights are a real thing and will sell their freedom for temporary comfort till the piper demands payment.

    If a party doesn’t ever get elected to form Government in as long as the NDP has existed in this Country, now a post national entity, they should dissolve. They are bench warmers wasting everyone’s time and money. They should go away already. It is a two party system, too crowded with the others like them trying to buy the electorate with their own money.

    1. Strong support for the Green and Socialist economic suicide and free stuff for everyone (ND)Party is the only way Conservatives can form government in the Deranged Dominion. If they went away their loony supporters would either vote Liberal or Green with a few voting Red Tory. If the Spawn can’t pull NDP (like he did in Quebec in the last election) and Green votes, he’s a goner. The NDP, Greens and Liberals are currently overlapping significantly in policy with the Conservatives arguably being marginally to the “right”.

  9. Canada is a member of NATO, and has committed to spending 2% of GDP on military, yet currently spends about 1.2% on this.
    A shortfall of about $16 billion in each year.

    If the USA, which is underwriting most of the west’s security with its military spending of more than 3% GDP on their military withdraws as the others don’t seem to have enough skin in the game, what is Canada’s NATO exit plan?

    The NDP address ex military member’s homelessness, yet there doesn’t seem to be any other mention of military in their platform.

    The $15 billion in additional health care each year, coupled with $16 billion in additional military spending each year is quite a large number, that doesn’t seem to register with the NDP.

    It’s unclear if their spending on additional health / social spending is being taken from other areas of the federal budget. Though I could mention a hundred or so areas that the federal gov’t shouldn’t be federally involved in, I doubt they’re considering any cutbacks in other areas.

    So… is this another budget that’s going to balance itself? Or is it moot, as they’ll never never be elected to a majority federal gov’t?

    Also, will the NDP ban on single use plastics include single use filters on single use cigarettes?
    If not, why not? Are some single use plastics more important than other single use plastics?

  29. Wait to you see what David Suzuki and Naomi Klein are up to with “The Green New Deal”, they want to go along with AOC’s plan in America. They think it is a great idea and will be having MANY town hall meetings to discuss this in the GTA from now to when the election is in Oct. Maybe someone could ask them since AOC did say the END is coming in 12yrs. So why are we Canadians bothering at all with this Green New Deal since we aren’t to be around in 12 yrs. If you vote Lie-bral or NDP or Green you are voting for NO JOBS a decline of people working. The GDP will fall and Canada will be sold to China!! My thoughts.
