We now know 50 years later that every single prediction concerning the environmental demise of the Earth and the people made in the original Earth Day Report was wrong. We also know that every additional claim, such as overpopulation, global warming, sea level rise, desertification, deforestation, and sea ice collapse, among many others, were wrong.
But that doesn’t matter. Not at all.

Danielle interviews Patrick Moore and he doesn’t hold back. Listen to this and wonder why CBC doesn’t have him on a panel. Haa. Heads would explode.

Go figure…………….and everyone thinks I’m nuts eh ?
Dr. Tim Ball is largely an unsung hero for truth and freedom, and deserves a Nobel prize for truth and freedom.
But, unfortunately, he is one of few voices crying in the wilderness. Patrick Moore is another. We are slowly but surely, like lemmings, being quietly dragged into a a system that the Frankfurt School dreamed about and will end in gulags and death for many of us.
Maurice Strong is a monster on the level of Felix Dzerzhinsky, Lavrentiy Beria, et al for what his future hopes for mankind were.
“Maurice Strong is a monster on the level of Felix Dzerzhinsky, Lavrentiy Beria, et al for what his future hopes for mankind were.”
Reply:
Maurice Strong “was”….
He passed away.
But you’re right, damage done.
Ken right on ! Canada has Dr. Tim Ball and Dr. Patrick Moore and the political parties ignore both !! The media continues to repeat the lies from the IPCC!
Ken, rite on, and that is why I contributed to his defense fund. He set himself out there, and us supporters neede to cover his back. As mikey mannless is a prick of the worst kind
Speaking of overpopulation, not only was Paul Ehrlich’s book “The Population Bomb” completely wrong, and millions of people did not die of starvation, rather, the earth is in a period of unprecedented productivity, for almost all nations, relative to each’s previous productivity. The East River did not rise to swamp Manhattan, and Ehrlich lost his historic bet with Julian Simon when Simon allowed him to pick any five metals that he thought will rise in price in ten years. He was wrong on all of them.
And yet, and yet, he is somehow still recognized as an expert whose words must be heeded. That’s just another example that leftist propaganda does not need facts to be sustained.
Lost his bet, and refused to pay….
oldbruin, and so was Julian Simon wrong . There is an article on “experts” that takes the very thing you mention to task, and shows that both were wrong. But Simon did win that bet, but the rest of his “predicts” were off.
The climate crisis has zero to do with climate and everything to do with destroying Capitalism by destroying it’s wealth creating corporations. Energy production being the biggest.
The globalists want one world under their feet and a peasant population that is easy to control. Ergo the mass migration into the west by little brainless idiots who will reliably vote for free shit from the free shit party AKA the Democrat party and similar parties in the EU.
Debating the yays and nays of the alleged climate change is nothing but a big freaking distraction. We are being played and most of us know it. We either do something about it right now while there is time, or it’s slave planet.
What Duke said, yo…
Thomas R. Malthus, in his An Essay on Principle of Population, lit the fuse for the hysteria that we’re seeing in The Population Bomb, AGW / Climate Change, and Eugenics / Abortion / “Pro-Choice”.
All of The Population Bomb, AGW / Climate Change, and Eugenics are based on only one thing: hysteria. It’s an emotional reaction.
But that is just the excuse that governments need to impose yet more taxes on their citizens. The government of British Columbia (Canada) is imposing a 128% “carbon” tax on domestic natural gas usage. That tax will continue to rise as the Federal carbon tax rises.
In the footsteps of….
Control of the mass media is the key to our enslavement.

I heard Liz May yesterday talking about using Alberta oil, and l thought she had turned over a new leaf.
NOT BLOODY SO!
Danielle Smith on QR77, Calgary had many more of May’s statements and a fairly detailed explanation of May’s quotes in the media yesterday. She is one stupid and dangerous piece of work.
Check the audio from Smith’s show on QR77, this AM from about 9:45 on for about 20 minutes. May advocates no more drilling, no more fracking, no increase in production and a complete shut down of the oil industry over the next couple of decades. Damn scary thoughts for Albertans!
Lizzie would, no doubt, be pleased by this:

When I received my B. Sc., many of my classmates went to work for companies in Calgary. That was the place to be for young engineering graduates. Jobs were plenty and money was all over the place. Even after PET nuked Alberta with the NEP, things weren’t too bad there.
My, how things have changed…..
The reason why those predictions never came to pass was because the events that were forecast weren’t done right. (Gee, haven’t we heard something like that about a certain political ideology?)
The old communists couldn’t care one bit about the environment but since the 90s they have cloaked themselves in green and have succeeded in conquering the entire institutional left and are well on their way to destroying western civilization, prosperity and in doing so making those allowed to live, slaves of the state. After success, the environment will be thoroughly degraded reversing the gains of the last half century.
Greens, as a political movement is 100% religious and 0% grounded in science.
I contend that the Green Movement is entirely based on emotion – in particular, hysteria – and 0% grounded in vetted and tested theories.
Vladimir Lenin and a certain Bohemian corporal, both extremely charismatic, used that to great effect in convincing their audiences to side with them.
Their ultimate goal is gaining and keeping power, wealth, and control but it comes at the cost of, off the backs of, their fellow citizens using the power of government to do so.
Well, we haven’t reached it yet but being as the earth is finite piece of real estate it will be possible to reach it’s carrying capacity. When that may or may not happen is at best a guess. To say that all things are limitless is foolish beyond belief.
owg, does that include space?
I doubt we will ver reach the theoretical “carrying capacity” of earth, simply because of human nature.
Aggravation ensures we will never cooperate to the extent necessary.
John, just stating that the planet is finite piece of dirt. Nature may destroy us all before we ever destroy the planet. Let me know when you have the answer. By the way, my body will never move at the speed of light, science fiction aside, and neither will yours, or any physical being alive today.
