  1. That ice and the ice breaker research ship are just a figment of your imagination. Don’t believe your lying eyes.
Or, maybe the photo was taken before SUVs were invented.

    1. That polar bear is supposed to be extinct by now, too.

What a decidedly inconvenient photo for the climate-monger’s narrative.

  2. Well, the Polar 8, or “the ships Canada never built” would not have been stuck in the ice. I guess they will have to rely on the Yamal to get them out.

    1. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe Canada has the longest coastline of any country. It is an international disgrace that it has such a feeble coast guard.

Instead of wasting money on visits to the moon we should be building (or commissioning the building of – i don’t care where they are built) a far larger and state of the art coast guard fleet and infrastructure. I would include in that 3 Polar 10s – nuclear-powered ice-breakers with second-to-none ice-breaking technology.

  3. Wasn’t the ice last seen 5 years ago? Did Gore lie? And what’s that extinct white animal?

  4. I love the (blue and) white snow. I was doing garden clean up last week in warm weather – and Sunday morning 6″ of the white stuff everywhere.

    Lovely – like the photo.

  5. “What a decidedly inconvenient photo for the climate-monger’s narrative.”

    Ha! Not necessarily, Canadian Observer.

“Starving polar bear seeks security from thinning icepack”

    1. That polar bear showed up to give them a push to help get unstuck. Very neighbourly of it!

  6. **15 institutions -3 from Europe-sent teams 2 collect data from ice & water**
And what are the odds that the “data” collected will PROVE that the “melting Arctic ice” is in crisis mode.

  7. Hey….this looks like my back yard in southern Saskatchewan this morning except I don’t have a ship in it, but I’m optomistic the AGW crowd have promised me I’ll never see scenes like this again in fall, winter or spring. Now to go dig my car out.

    1. “except I don’t have a ship in it”… Hey – after the oceans rise, you might! XD

  8. Call to avoid ‘mob rule’ amid mass anger in Yakutsk after ‘kidnap and rape’ by ‘Kyrgyz migrant’

L- The response of locals to a kidnap and rape by “the usual suspects” is much different than in West. Europe/Scandinavia, the U.K. and Canada. In Canada, such news of such an attack wouldn’t even reach the public.

    1. The Kyrgyz were kidnapping and raping my Wolgadeutsche ancestors 250 years ago on the lower Volga.

    2. One third of the women in Kyrgyzstan are married through the quaint custom of ‘bride kidnapping’.
      Well, not so quaint.
