The ten years of Conservative rule that brought us out of the Chretien/Martin diaspora has been squandered by Tater Head and his Legion of Minions. There aren’t enough tears to do justice to how far back we have fallen as a country.

    I was out there today filling and loading sandbags at Constance Bay.
    The looks in peoples eyes as they knew that they are on the brink of literally losing everything is something that I will never forget.

    2. Those were members of the Royal Canadian Regiment and I think still based in London, Ontario. I was in CFB Petawawa around 1970ish when his dad showed up for a photo op. There was nothing nice said in our group about the visit.

    I live and work in Ottawa. People who live in Ottawa who have to work for a living, and aren’t just well-paid government parasites, can’t afford to buy or live in riverfront properties. They are expected to be grateful to be able to afford to live in “diverse and vibrant” Vanier or in former farming villages an hour or more’s drive away from Parliament Hill.

    May I suggest the Canadian armed forces have better things to do than protect the dollhouses of the trophy wives of senior civil servants. Such as helping the Tapette to pack his bags and replacing him with someone who isn’t blatantly a Chinese government agent.

    Don’t weep for us, fellow Canadians. Point and laugh. Save your tears for the people who had to pay for those dollhouses—yourselves and the hard-working Canadians in your life.

    Trudeau has committed a slur against those suffering in this crisis by belittling it to a PR opportunity for his benefit (because it certainly didn’t provide them any)

    The prime minister should have been doing what he can at his level of the chain of authority and beyond that offer encouragement and draw attention to the situation to the rest of Canada.

    Trudeau is feckless, clueless and arrogant. And he is demonstrably unfit for the job of Prime Minister.

    This “event” only provides more evidence of that.

    2. I have to agree Stan. I live in Ottawa too. A lot of the people in Fitzroy Harbour and Constance Bay have lived there for generations in small modest houses. Recently a lot of city folks have moved into Constance Bay building more extravagant homes. I don’t weep for them. They have other homes back in Ottawa or elsewhere. Lastly I am disappointed in Mr. Scheer who took the opportunity to campaign in another riding not far off from the flooding further east on the Ottawa River. Perhaps it was a better use of time than the boy prime minister’s photo op but it also showed a disconnect. You can bet it will be played that way by the usual suspects.

      1. I think Scheer was campaigning with Conservative nominees. The focus was not the flooding, but perhaps bad timing. He was in my area last night and Conservative supporters were invited to join him. It is part of gearing up for the election.

      For much of yesterday we were trying to get my desktop back up and running, and for the rest of this weekend, I happen to be working. Providing threads isn’t the only thing I have to do with my day.

      I also have a living to make and a life of my own. For — as generous as some of our readers are — this blog is in no way a source of significant, or even insignificant income.

      So the next time you have a concern regarding our Prime Minister’s claims, you might direct your question to Andrew Scheer, or one of the people who are actually paid to report/analyze the news.

  29. On CTV News tonight Sandie Rinaldo did not show the above 1:41 SDA clip in its entirety. It was reduced to being a few seconds, trying to make Trudeau look good. (or better)

    The network eliminated most of the part where the concerned citizen spoke, exclaiming Trudeau’s fault for showing up and disturbing the work they were doing for a mere photo-op.
