For people who come downtown to take part in the Jets festivities, just remember a massive street party called a #whiteout does not make all #Winnipeggers feel safe.
Now, if you’re reading this and thinking “calm down, it’s harmless fun, it has nothing to do with race—it’s apart of the Jets culture. It’s a tradition. It’s how we show our team and city pride. Not only is the province spending a significant amount of money for these street whiteout parties—this will be going on for the next few weeks. Mayhem ensues when these parties take place. It’s triggering to see a sea of white when you’re walking home from work or school—witnessing aggressive ‘Jets culture’ as Jets fans flood the streets yelling ‘True North’. We thought, if you can’t change the party, at least revise the name because a headline that reads: ‘Jets parties will turn downtown white again’ reminds us of a similar phrase started by a very problematic politician in the states.

Don’t feel safe in parts of Winnipeg? That is because various parts of Winnipeg are s***hole unsafe.
Several years ago Air Canada stopped using downtown hotels in Winnipeg for their crews safety.
Astronomical terms such as black hole and white dwarf, as well as all references to blackbody radiation in heat transfer, will have to be abolished because of their racist connotations.

This reminds me of my son who married a Haitian girl a few years ago. She was a very nice, super cool person and I really liked her. My wife and daughter and their friends accepted her in their circle with open arms and they did a lot of things together. To them she was just another one of them and skin color was invisible. Then last Christmas he decided we were racists and turned against us. I could give a shit less but my wife(who is one of the most compassionate people I know- she spent last night sitting from 10PM to 6AM in the hospital emergency ward with a neighbor friend who has cancer) is understandably upset. From my perspective they are the BIG losers including being written out of our sizable will. We will leave it ALL to our daughter and her dog.

I’ve spent a lot of time around Indians. Worked with ’em ran, with ’em when I was a colt and had/have Indians as friends. The garden variety Indian is as racist as any tribalist you’ll run across. I include all tribes when I say that.
We all belong to a tribe. Loyalty to our tribe is ingrained into our DNA. Thousands of generations of only trusting those from our own tribe will do that.
Maybe as we evolve we will change but at the moment I see little evidence that tribalism is on the decline. Racism is alive, how could it not be?
This Black Space Winnipeg group are just useful dupes and pawns of those constantly trying to foment race and class warfare. Tough this is nothing new for Winnipeg, as if one looks at the Federal election results in Winnipeg there are always Communist candidates and they always get a few hundred votes. The only other city that garners any number of Communist votes is Montreal.
