I don’t think this will affect them at all, I have been told in no uncertain terms that those people are NOT!!!!!11!! women. Any uppity ‘brain condition’ that tries to think otherwise will probably find itself in court.

How is that possible? Gender is a social construct. I assume if the women declare themselves to be male first, they won’t go blind.
Having persuaded themselves that they are men should be enough practise that they’ll be able to persuade themselves they aren’t blind. And I guess warning them when they are about to fall into a hole or wander into moving traffic would be as bad as misgendering them, so we’ll all have to just keep our mouths shut and let them get on with it.
In the 1970’s, we had a neighbour on the farm who did weird stuff. The guy would get up at 4:00 AM, walk around his Dad’s yard dressed as a woman. On morning when I was about 18, my Dad had sent me to spray a ditch full of koschia weeds. We had a truck mounted sprayer, when I drove by the yard in question, I saw ”Betty” walking around the yard in a woman’s nightgown. I was severely reprimanded when I told neighbours that Bob was a transvestite. I said no more.
A few years later he went ahead with the operation. Things went bad right from the beginning, he suffered a heart attack before the plumbing was overhauled, but he went ahead with the second phase. After it was all over, he did OK however he gained weight like crazy and had a bitch of a time finding a dress that fit.
At 50, he died of a sudden heart attack. It was sad for many of us, because he was a good, kind person with a brain gone wayward. God bless his (her) soul.
