  1. Other than feeling empathy with these people what can one say. Stuff like this happens. It has happened in Manitoba a few times since settlement. People rebuild, and try to mitigate future similar events.

  2. So there has been a significant cow-tarian crisis in Nebraska where a million head of cattle needed RESCUE by the numerous animal rights and animal rescue.orgs that proliferate in Canada and America. So it was good to see these groups all descend on Nebraska to help these farmers save their herds. Save the 1 million … yes … 1 million calves that have been lost. Cute baby-faced calves. Oh, wait … what’s that? Those groups were all busy trespassing on Canadian farms and kidnapping dead cows from dairy farms? They couldn’t be bothered to help with a REAL bovine crisis. Huh!? Imagine that?

I did want to give a little help to the rancher being interviewed … who reported that neither he nor his father had seen anything like this horrific and unexpected series of weather events that resulted in an ice flood across his low-lying land in all their 43 years of working the land. Not to be disrespectful … but that’s why they’re called 100-year flood events. It’s NOT called Global Warming or any such nonsense. I would be highly interested in reading the FEMA maps on his property. Maps which are designed for 100-year events.

  3. Funny but a few years ago that egghead Micheal Oppenheimer the Platt River was going to be all dried up by now Yeah Sure Woo Hoo listen to these crack-pots long enough you would think the earth was flat you walk too far and you fall off the edge
