I mentioned this yesterday, but having seen Mr. Wernick’s entire testimony, I came away feeling that he is an arrogant, elitist snob — very comfortable with the Liberal-elites in Ottawa. He sneered at opposition questions. He opposed having the House Justice Committee hearing — Liberal-dominated as they are — even though this is the only venue average Canadians can view the debate. He championed secrecy everywhere. Part of my conservatism stems from an alienation of elite, well-paid Ottawa — and Michael Wernick embodies all of that.

One of the things Alberta needs to do is collect a percentage of all oil Royalties in physical gold bullion. To be held in a specially constructed vault in Edmonton. This would act as the ballast to the Alberta economy.
