    2. It reminds me of how one obtained a position in the Chinese imperial civil service. It seemed that the sole qualification was knowledge of Confucianism. Actual talent or capability to do the job were, apparently, secondary, and, perhaps, irrelevant.

      Now, in (post-national, sharia-compliant, gender-balanced, carbon-neutral Soros vassal built on stolen indigenous land–have I left anything out?) Canada, it’s not much different. So long as one displays the right visible and linguistic characteristics, actual abilities for the position in question simply don’t matter.

      Gee, isn’t that how the federal cabinet was selected?

    3. Diversity quotas have been in place at least going back to the early 1990s. Sexual orientation used to be on that list. Federal government does very little of value.

  2. One look at the list of over-paid bureaucrat positions and it seemed to me that we could survive very happily if none of those were filled or even existed, never mind the intentional low aspiration, affirmative action qualifications demanded by the Spawn’s government.

I am co-authoring a series of academic papers on the Canada Summer Jobs program, looking at unpublished data using Access to Information requests, etc. One can recall the scandal the developed, in 2018, when hiring organizations had to sign a loyalty oath supporting abortion and other pc beliefs. At any rate, what flew under the radar was that, at the same time, hiring establishments had to have a similar affirmative action plan, akin to what is posted here. On top of that, newly-arrived immigrant students were also give preference. I am not making this up. — David Murrell, Economics, UNB at Fredericton.

  11. This is nothing new. It’s been this way in Canada for generations. The only way white males get government jobs in Canada is if there is no one else with a pulse available. This is why the RCMP has a recruiting problem. They cannot recruit from the single biggest block of applicants. They would literally rather recruit a foreign criminal than a Canadian white man. Canadian white men need to remember this if their country ever comes calling asking them for a favour.

  12. If you only speak english and you are taken to court, demand your trial be in french, it is your right in Canada. Then bung the whole process up complaining that you don’t understand.

    1. Haha. I worked with a guy that did this for all his speeding tickets etc. Then the day before his trial he would call and ask to have his court date changed. Apparently they still have to pay the interpreter they scheduled.

  13. This reminds me of the story the “Old white Guy ” down the street tells. Seems he started working for the federal government back in the sixties in Saskatoon. When he applied, one of the questions on the application was, Are you bilingual? Of course he answered “yes” because you had to be bilingual. After 25 years working there, it was never an issue. He still laughs about it today. Bilingual yes. English and German.

    1. That happened to my uncle. He was a civilian tradesman working for DND and, being from Germany, he answered “yes” when asked if he was bilingual. He took it as defined in the dictionary: bi (two) lingual. That didn’t go over well with a certain officer, who, when he found out about that, started speaking to my uncle in French.

      That’s when he found out what being bilingual really meant in this country.

        QR77 radio was all over this (think of all those advertising dollars). The morning thingy interviewed some guy who was in charge of something at the rez/casino? Not sure what the point was of interviewing him but the virtue signalling morning host wasn’t done she upped the anti and had a native woman on who proceeded to teach the listening audience some words. It was enlightening……

        I changed stations.

I’ve always wondered why this hasn’t been taken up as a class action lawsuit… this was source of my first and strongest hatred for our government.. probably why I’m a conservative minded person right now. I’ve worked for the federal government and I argued with my co-workers (French) that if language was a regional matter in Quebec, it should be a regional matter in the rest of Canada. Needless to say, they didn’t get it. Those on the beneficial receiving end of an injustice performed on others usually remain intentionally obtuse. Meanwhile my manager is hinting to me on a weekly basis that I can/should take language training. I saw the writing on the wall. Both in terms of the work (I literally did NOTHING and my mind was fossilizing) AND my painful existence within the GoC as a dirty Anglo.

  19. It’s important to note that this has been going on for decades. It’s not JUST the Liberals. Government at all levels is severely bloated and a giant waste of our confiscated labour. Andrew Scheer would do nothing to change any of this. Bernier might.

  20. Employment records clearly show women are not a minority in the federal service, they are slightly above per centage in general workforce or population. They were included about 25 years ago, but this just demonstrates how difficult it is to ever achieve equality, or whatever they are seeking. Problem for all these designated groups will be that when actual numbers correlate with population, they will not be distributed at all levels, So the “problem” can never be solved. Deputy-Ministers are under-represented by x group. There remains much work to do and it will always be that way.

    This guaranteed quebekkie a coupla things. Good paying secure jobs. Jobs for the most part that are only available to quebekers and control of the country from the inside.
