I’ve never relished the idea of building on property off the grid … however stories like this are rapidly changing my mind … and I’m a 17yo again yelling “fkcu the man” !!
But alas Nevermind. Cause my property will go up in flames and there’s nothing anyone can do about it. Learned that here on these bummer pages of the past couple days. Fire is natural … let it all burn down. And it’s all your damn inverters and shit that caused it anyway. Men need to learn they’re no better than bugs. Take our squashing and be happy. In 2024, California started phasing out gasoline powered generators. By 2028s they can no longer be purchased in California. However, if you already possess one, it can still be used as much as you want. And, it is (and will continue to be) perfectly legal to purchase a gasoline powered generator from another state to be used in California.
So, who wants to set up a franchise of Gas Generator stores along the Nevada, Arizona and Oregon borders? If you’re adventurous and have good locks, you can set a couple up in Baja while you’re at it. Every time there’s a brown out, or a loss of power due to wild fires or the Santa Anna winds…you’re going to get a flock of customers. And just to spit in the eye of the California Legislature, you can set up repair facilities for gas powered generators inside the state since their legislation doesn’t exclude as much.
