Crisis of Citizenship

Kevin Williamson;

As some of you may recall, I wrote a little book called The Case against Trump. I didn’t think much of him in 2016. I don’t think much of him now. But we aren’t three tweets away from the Holocaust. Nobody seriously believes that we are, unless they are insane. Sane people who insist that the United States in 2019 is something like Germany in the 1930s are liars. They don’t really believe it. They have an investment in hysteria.

Those of you who play along with that — who enjoy being lied to and manipulated — are pathetic in the literal sense of that word. What the hell is wrong with you?

  1. One’s dislike of President Trump seems to be a badge of honor for some people. Their lack of intellectual ability immediately dismisses any thought of listening to or reading what they have to say. Left wing democrats/communists who voted for the wall in 2006 are now refusing to fund the wall. The wall was approved before Obama was president and some was even built while Obama was president. The level of ignorance exhibited by the average American and Canadian is appalling. The crisis is not one of citizenship it is an intellectual crisis and the people are failing. The wall has a direct relationship to citizenship.

    1. Things were complete opposite up here about 50 years ago. Back then, adoration and worship of PET was considered a status symbol, particularly among my fellow high school students.

    2. The crisis is not one of citizenship it is an intellectual crisis and the people are failing

owg … In one sentence you proved yourself smarter than such a “revered conservative” as Kevin Williamson. Sorry Kevin, it is YOUR hallowed halls of so-called higher education that have FAILed lonnnng before a disaffected population elected a successful businessman to the Presidency. Our High Schools have FAILed. Our Elementary Schools have FAILed. An “ignorant citizen” can NEVER be a “good citizen”

This country is filled with ignoramuses… many holding high degrees.

      1. well Kenj, ever time I am inside a church, I see a building full of ignoramuses. Tell one of those a$$holes that some thing needs to be done, and they go into full “we must work with them mode”! Uor john tory is a prime example of this. In another discussion, I was told “he cares about you” , meaning the candidate. I don’t give a shit if some one cares about me. I care if they can lead, and if they understand the issues. One of the issues always is is that they work for the people, and not some other ideology, including their ‘god”.

People are just plain stupid, present them with facts, and they counter, rather than do due diligence. You see it in here all the time, including you.

  2. Shhhh, Kevin, the hyperbolic media insanity is how you get more Trump. Just this past weekend, the baying lynch mob went postal and didn’t bother to hide it. The attack on children really weirded and creeped me out. The level of projection was grotesque.

    1. Hey Kevin! Maybe NOW you know why Trump so crudely and rudely said he hoped that Nancy Pelosi would be re-elected (rebullied her way) as Speaker of The House. Because she would spend 2019 and 2020 illustrating to America what a horrible citizen she was … and she has.

Trump is smarter than you, Kevin. But you’re too “smart” to recognize it.

      1. Kenji said, “Trump is smarter than you, Kevin. But you’re too “smart” to recognize it.”

BANG, kevin is another one who deals in hyperbullshit quite often

  3. At least Williamson is honest about his not liking Trump in 2016 as well as now. He articulates what many here have said about not really liking Trump but that the opinion of many here is that it was time the establishment needed some cleaning and shaking up.

Williamson’s article about these kids and the left’s efforts to tear them down is right and shows the depths of depravity that society is descending to. This will not end well as the radical left is determined to destroy liberal democracy. (See my ‘The Federalist’ Reader Tips of last evening)

  4. I wonder if he,Williamson,is truly calling out the retards of the left, our progressive comrades whose default position is always lie,or covering his ass as the fallout from the madness of the Media is going to be great.
President Trump calls the media cartel “Fake News”, they object and then prove his point with endless, in the readers face, lies and half truths.
Bit like the burglar saying “I am not a thief and to prove it I will steal your car”.

You could never have scripted the media meltdown, they had to do this themselves, very much like dogs barking themselves into a frenzy.
Buy popcorn cause the true believers are too far gone to back off now.

    1. Williamson is but one of many naïve dominoes to fall, and not just in media; until then the big players get a pass.
Mueller stunningly reveals the leftist conspiracy (OK for Mueller to pin on Stone) that lays itself bare, with impunity they think.
You are right, this couldn’t be scripted better. I think Mr Stone may be planning an ambush of his own; iow this will all go away.
But, the diversion away from their nefarious deeds will remain. We know they all think and act together, all of them.
Do not give one of them credit for honesty, integrity, or respect for due process, citizens and elections. Not one of them.
Anyway, the Marxist mediocracy don’t care that they’re revealed as hypocritical bigots. They run roughshod over democracy.
It’s all about them, not you, but the public seems to be concluding the best the establishment can do is not the best for them.

  5. It seems Robert Mueller is not taking Williamson’s advice, with his Trumped-up case against Roger Stone.

Which, imho, impinges on the false assertion the Russians hacked the DNC. Another “he lied to us” process crime btw.

The left and in this case Mueller have truly shown their cards, with FBI miscreants still in their midst, in need of peer outing.

This is the third overreach by the establishment goons in eight days, file it under Stonegate. Prosecutorial misconduct?

Actually a pathetic attempt at diverting away from the bizarre performance of the left this past week.

More process BS about how many texts or emails he had with this or that person with again no underlying crime.

Now they call it a “conspiracy,” aka won’t falsely accuse Trump. Pathetic and desperate. This will see neither a courtroom nor a plea.

As they try to change the channel they end up shining a light on their misdeeds. Methinks Stone has a flood light ready for them.

  6. Interesting, CNN was at Stone’s house an hour before the FBI got there, but no collusion with the media happening here. This is the common practice with American prosecution, they charge a guy with a dozen offensives and he either plea bargains a stupid deal or goes bankrupt fighting everything.
