  1. Maxime Bernier’s PPC will be in the national debate

After only three months, the People’s Party of Canada has achieved its goal of setting up Electoral District Associations in every region of the country! Only a handful of ridings have not yet held their founding meetings, and these are expected to take place in the coming days.

    https://www.thepostmillennial.com/maxime-berniers-ppc-have-eda-in-100-of-ridings/

The die is cast. The chips will fall where they may.

        1. Liz May has been in the debate a few times….

What does the country gain with Max in the debate? The libranos probably jumped at the chance to include him. He’s their guy.

I like Max but will not vote for him. He cant possibly win and will split the vote on the ‘right’.

A few percentage points will separate the winner and loser in the 2019 vote. A vote for Max is a librano vote.

          1. Not to be to contentious , but they have chosen an unelectable leader in Andrew Scheer. That certainly worked well with Stephen Dion , Ignatia, and Hilary. But I am sure this time will be different.

          2. Exactly right , he will split the vote. I also like Max as well but will not support him in his new venture.
Liberals will be cheering him on, the fact he put his ambition, or ego, ahead of what’s good for the country, getting rid of the present mess we call the “Trudeau” Government, shows it’s more about himself.

          3. The World has truly changed in these last few years and the LibCon two party system is about to be killed off in 2019.

The Peoplespca and Max are going to win the next election and Max is going to be the Prime Minister of Canada

            It’s going to be great…

          4. abt, what the country gains with Max in the debates is a more balanced forum.

Instead of the CPC having to debate THREE left wing Parties,or four if they allow the Block, it will be three- two, and Bernier I suspect will hit Our Beloved PM with a few zingers as Layton did to Iggy.
I DO hope in the next round of debates they use the podiums instead of the kitchen table bit they did before.

          5. Everybody likes Max but will not vote for him. Nobody likes Scheer but everybody will vote for him. No wonder people like Trudumb get elected.

          6. concerned,

Not to put too fine a point on it, but I don’t think the conservatives chose Scheer. In trying to be generous to Quebec, they structured the leadership so that every riding got equal votes regardless of membership. This Quebec bias should have favoured Max, but it was too easy to manipulate the smaller ridings votes, and the Librano dairy cartel sabotaged the whole country to preserve their monopoly.

This is not unlike the way the PC party in Alberta was hijacked by the teachers union years earlier resulting in “Special” Ed Stelmach and Alison Red(queen)ford.

The dairy cartel may suffer greatly from this own the road, as any sort of separatist movement in the west will surely trigger Quebecois pride and shame. I can’t imagine any other provinces wanting to stay in confederation when only Ontario (and maybe Quebec) determine the government. Not even sure Ontario would stay together if it came to that, as it would only be the GTA that mattered. Could Ontario be reduced to simply Upper Canada as an independent country.

        2. Are you sure you’re not a Liberal? That’s who your asinine ideas about “real conservatives” gets elected.

        3. The reason DJT was elected is because the fly over country has had enough. Read the link then think about how he has been demonized and even in Canada. In fact the Uniparty which is really Globalist the Lib/Con/Socialist//Marxist are all the same now. Nobody does the will of the voter. If you are not Multicult you are racist. Well guess what it is great to be WHITE. It is OK to be WHITE, in fact be proud of your WHITENESS. It is OK. http://www.westernspring.co.uk/the-futility-of-electioneering/

    1. I like Max but it appears we learned nothing from Alberta where vote splitting allowed Nutley to get in.

If you can live with four more years of Turdeau, vote for Max.

      1. I will vote with my conscience and there is no way in hell I’ll vote for this bunch of fake globalist conservatives. PPC will get my vote. As was stated above, let the chips fall where they may.

    2. Voting for Max could mean vote splitting on the right and means PM Neo-Marxist gets re-elected.
BUT it depends where you live. I would have to vote NDP (yikes!) to help get rid of No Time McKenna.
Provincially the people in this riding – yes not quite the same – wouldn’t vote for a women who was a doctor and business woman.
No way PPC gets above 1000 votes in my riding.

      1. in a freaking idiocracy where the winner gets a majority with 39.42 % of 63% of the voters who voted, who gives a damn.

    3. I think people are missing the wonderful potential of Max in the debates.
He has the potential to be a real force to disrupt Liberals in the debates in ways that no Conservative could dare.
He can savage Trudeau over the obvious truths outside the overton window that would never be addressed. The lithpin idiot will not be able to respond without revealing to some genetic Liberal voters how far the party has strayed from any Canadian values or concerns.

I want Max, but I am watching my riding closely to make sure the Liberal doesn’t qualify for another pension.

      1. Max could make his point in a real debate. Unfortunately what they call a debate during an election is a travesty. The moderator immediately loses control and the place devolves into chaos.

Vote strategically if you think it will work but a vote for Max in any riding that is anywhere near in play is a vote for the libranos.

        1. Sheer fear

I am voting for Max as well as millions more.

Enough with the corrupt two party LibCon cartel system that is not controlled by hardworking Canadians.

Dont you all get it it’s Max or tyranny for the Liberals are insane and the Progressive Conservatives are Globalist too…

So it’s Max or the status quo..

I’m ready for real change that Max and the PPC are the only federal partly that truly offers it.

Maybe Sheer stealing Max from heading the PC was truly a blessing in disguise for all of us Canadians who are fed up with the corruption in politics, courts, police, media, telecommunications, airlines and last but not least the Bank of Canada

Real change is coming whether you plant sheer fear or Castrudeau Nightmares for all those thousands upon thousands joining the Peoples Party of Canada are awoke and have no fear for we are taking back Canada in 2019 and there is nothing and no one that can stop us.

Please join and support the PPC and help us become better and stronger together and your fear just fades away.

Max and the PPC are the only sane Option in 2019.

          Go Max Go

          From Max

          After only 3 months, the
          @peoplespca
has reached its goal of setting up 338 Associations, one in every riding.

Our party also has about 33,800 members.

“The reason is simple. When guns are banned, it is law-abiding citizens rather than criminals who turn in their firearms. And criminals can continue buying arms from drug gangs. If governments can’t enforce drug bans, there’s no reason to think that they can enforce gun bans.”

          1. Choosing the Principled Alternative

You probably know that one of my nicknames, apart from “Mad Max,” is “the Albertan from Quebec.” So it’s always a pleasure to be back here in Calgary, to reconnect with my Alberta roots!

I’m fairly certain that some of you in this room are not happy about my departure from the Conservative Party.

Perhaps you believe I should have stayed and pushed for my ideas within the party. That we should have remained united to beat the Trudeau Liberals next year.

I tried to do this for more than a year, without success. And it was my plan to continue until just a few days before my resignation.

When my tweets about radical multiculturalism created a storm in early August, I thought I was expressing what almost all conservatives believe in.

We must start pushing back against this politically correct nonsense that’s destroying our society and culture. But the reaction from my Conservative colleagues was universally negative.

And then, in a phone conservation, Andrew Scheer told me I did not represent the party and my ideas were not welcome. He repeated the same line publicly. And I was told to either shut up and toe the party line, or leave.

This should not have surprised anyone. Andrew plays the same game of pandering as Trudeau.

            Read the rest here.

          2. I’m with you, I believe. The ‘Tards and the Cons are the same party, just the way the Laurentian Elite want it. Heads they win, tails you lose. Take your pick.

I’ve had enough. For the first time we have a real alternative. If people can not see that, then another 4 yrs of disaster after disaster might convince them. If not, then a decade or two of Zimbabwe North might do the trick.

        2. “The moderator immediately loses control and the place devolves into chaos. ”

The key control should be that microphones are switched to allow only one selected speaker at a time. Ain’t rocket surgery.

          1. You dont switch off the mic on a national debate. I agree that would be an easy way to control things but you’d never get the participation of the leaders.

I judged and moderated debates for years. The Westminster debate has rules and decorum
            Tv debates are farcical.

      2. I tend to agree.

He will want to fish in the Liberal’s pond in Quebec, since the Conservatives are only a puddle there.

Elsewhere Mad Max is nowhere and is not a vote split threat at this time.

But he of so poor judgment may let his ego win, so who knows what that fellow Bourassa, no wait, Bernier will do.

        1. Must suck being a Globalist so your a secret Liberal then?

    4. well, this is kinda good news.
Im hoping now for a minority govt, doesnt matter who ‘wins’, as long as conservatist REFRAIN FROM THE AGE OLD PRACTICE OF SABOTAGING THEMSELVES IN PUBLIC.
iow, *cooperation* between the scheep party and max to veto anything the lieberals try.
might even lead to another leadership debate to settle the thing once and for all.

      1. Interesting so the Globalist controlled Con Party wants Max back…

You cheated Max and all of his supporters in Canada when the lib Milk cartel gave it to sheer.

Tsk tsk your never ever getting max back.

The corrupt LibCon two party cartel system that has governed Canada since the beginning are obout to lose their powerful grips on the levers of power to control Canada In 2019.

        Go Max Go

    5. If Trudeau is re-elected in 2019, you can blame Max Bernier. His selfishness because he did not win the leadership will be the final nail in what once was a democratic Canada. Justine has signed over immigration to the U.N.as per their agenda and who knows what will follow next with pretty boy in for another four years.

      1. Silly sheer fear conservatives can’t admit your own party is as corrupt as the Liberals…

Go ahead blame someone else for your Globalist controlled party.

        1. Amen. I switched my vote because Dole seemed to be softening his positions for the press. Stupid, stupid, stupid. It was probably the press burying him, and I was too naive at the time to figure it out.

  2. On this day, in 1968, men reached the moon and orbited it for the first time. The spacecraft was Apollo 8 with Frank Borman, Jim Lovell, and Bill Anders.

One thing that nobody expected was to see this first-hand:

    https://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap181224.html

It wasn’t the first time that view was seen. That was courtesy of the Lunar Orbiter 1 probe, whose mission was to photograph potential Apollo landing sites. The initial picture of that earthrise was fuzzy and indistinct and many thought it was a hoax.

Fortunately, some amateur enthusiasts took the data tapes a few years ago, reprocessed what was on them, with the result being:

    https://apod.nasa.gov/apod/ap160827.html

Notice the detail in that picture, almost as good as the first one. Not bad for technology from some 50 years ago. But that picture, and others that have been similarly reprocessed, provide a data point for lunar scientists, allowing them to compare current lunar terrain with what it looked like back then.

Here’s how that first Apollo 8 earthrise might have looked like to the crew:

And who can forget hearing this:

        1. #13 is all too true.

I heard a story about the last 3 Apollo missions, all of which were dedicated to scientific work. Apparently, the landing crews brought back magazines of unexposed film. That was because they didn’t take many photographs. Oh, pictures were taken, but with the television cameras that was on the Lunar Rovers, which provided real-time downlink to the scientists in the back rooms of Mission Control. Rather than wait for the astronauts to take photos with their Hasselblad cameras and see the pictures after they returned, they told the TV camera operator to rotate or zoom in on the details in question.

That was nicely dramatized in the 10th and 12th episodes of the HBO series From the Earth to the Moon, Galileo Was Right and La voyage dans la lune, respectively.

          1. https://www.boredpanda.com/plants-in-space-scott-kelly/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=organic

“Time is of the essence” when astronauts have important experiments to accomplish, as per these photos. Why waste it?

I grew these pretty things from seed as well. Some are only 1 to 1″ in diameter. These look big …its difficult to tell, they should’ve put a ruler beside it.

(I will send them my recipe for Caesar Salad Dressing, it doesn’t drip! Ha! Nothing like a super food photosynthesized in space, closer to the Sun. Hmm, wonder if zinnias are edible and tasty? Nah, lettuce is better)

            pip pip…

          2. While some people may scoff at that, it’s important to study how plants and organisms develop in a low-gravity environment. If there is to be a permanent human presence in space, these are questions that need to be answered.

      1. Great links. Brings back memories. 50 years ago tonight I watched in total awe. It’s been so long that there’s an entire movement claiming the Apollo flights were faked. Even so called conservative Owen Benjamin has boarded that ridiculous bandwagon.

    1. 29 pounds per person per year of wrapping paper! I pondered carefully and I don’t believe it.

I buy a lot of presents and wrap them. I certainly don’t buy 29 pounds worth of wrapping. Most of the weight of a roll of wrapping paper is the cardboard tube, which should be recyclable.

Perhaps Stasi Canada could tell us how much wrapping paper is sold in Canada? And tell us how they got that number.

The media just parrots environmental press releases and is too lazy, or too stupid, to verify these numbers. Oh it’s just an estimate so we really don’t need to check it out. Media morons.

      1. I’m with you. It’s B.S. some MSM lefty pulled from their rear end. I’ve been working with the same five or six rolls of paper, and bags of ribbons and bows for close to ten years. We had to buy more Scotch tape a few years ago. My husband wraps my presents in Menards bags and his present can’t be wrapped. Why do you suppose these people work so hard to make tax payers feel guilty. I don’t get it.

    1. Oh, so the London police are using Las Vegas PD procedures: Hear no evil, see no evil, lay low until the next news cycle.

    1. Is Islamicontario Shia or Sunni? Just wondering how long before the peace be upon him brigade starts fighting.

    2. “•Liquor, drugs, adultery, gambling, etc. should be banned in society.”

      Thems fightin words.

    3. Whoever wrote that web-site was having some fun.

“The relationship established under a marriage contract is a sacred union between a man and a woman. God made Adam and Eve –not Adam and Steve.”

    4. “Family System has to be restored to protect the generations to sustain human beings on earth until its natural ends.

Marriage is a sacred union between a man and woman. The birth of babies of next generation and survival of human species depends on this institution. Majority of Ontarians and Canadians living as single moms and dads are affecting the sound healthy growth of children. If the situation continues, this society will rely hundred percent on immigrants and from the nations where the traditional family system is protected. The Canadian family system and marriage institution must be restored for the survival of coming generations.

The sexual relationship is only between men and women. This relationship should be protected with a marriage contract by clearly defining rights and responsibilities of both man and woman. They must have to take responsibility for family care and children nourishment.

The government should be supportive of this responsible family. They should be given privilege and affordable housing for healthy living and nourishment.
Allah has created two genders: men and women. Any physical defect in any organ of a person doesn’t change one’s gender identification and sexual orientation. All the communities of all the faiths believe in it; modern science proves it. The concept of “gender identity” or “seven-colour gender” is a false concept.

The relationship established under a marriage contract is a sacred union between a man and a woman. God made Adam and Eve –not Adam and Steve.’

The Islamic Party sounds very much like the Conservative Party, or at least what the Conservative Party would be if they didn’t have to be politically correct.

  5. You want more prince idiot vote for max ………..the rotten media will give maxie all the coverage they can .

    1. ….and Andrew Scheer will continue to receive 0 zero face time because after all we all know he’s got nothing to say or offer to Canadians, especially conservative Canadians and many will continue to insist they’re not being manipulated.

  6. Today the PMO’s website advises us to dim the lights Christmas Eve to save energy. Meanwhile Groper burns jet fuel to Mali and back for a photo op.

    1. Let me guess: dimming your bulbs in order to keep him company, if you get my meaning?

    2. So where is Turdeau going for his xmas / new year’s holiday? Anyone know?

Perhaps he is staying at home in his 22 room cottage to save CO2. ha ha ha ha.

    3. Any Christmas lights you might have will soon be dimmed anyway. Our dollar is well on its way to becoming a Hudson’s Bay peso once more, closing today at $0.7347 US.

  7. Strikes me that a vote for Max (To the Max ) is a vote for Western Separation.
Given the failure of Harper & Co to make any significant corrections to the path Canada is on and now Mr Scheer’s bland attempts to “move to the centre” , why would we expect anything other than the status quo from the Right side of the Uni-party?
Nothing will change be it Trudeau 2 or Scheer 1 .
The government will continue to expand, being ever more intrusive and destructive.

    Canada is FUBAR.
Who ever wins in the Eastern Vote will still insist on robbing Peter to pay Paul.
This is business as usual in Canada.
Our current elites are at war with us.
This should be obvious, for it is the only thing that is “transparent” about their Lying, grasping natures.
A tax on breathing is about as intrusive as you can get.
This is a kleptocracy with no escape for the productive, from the eastern policy makers;”Alberta Oil belongs to Canada.”
So what if Max splits the vote?
What good have these so called conservatives done?
What do they offer that the current fools and bandits do not?
All I see in more Empty Words.
Before Max,we had the perfect choices; Thief 1,thief 2 or thief 3.
All promising to “Govern Responsibly” by doing more of the same, that same which has our grandchildren enslaved by debt and has built nothing of value in my lifetime…
Oh yes we have “Free Healthcare”.
If you live long enough to survive the wait.

    1. You are correct. Unless Scheer and the conservatives drop the mantle of ideology in favour of populism, not ethno/identity but individualism, with confident Canadians shedding government and its transactions of decline that went beyond protection from catastrophe with Pearson or St. Laurent. But now it is maxed out with tired boomers taking the whole thing down.

If Scheer allows himself to be painted as an “establishment politician,” he is an easy mark. He must be a polite Trump, dumping useless climate tax nonsense, pillorying Trudeau daily for his unnecessary destruction of due process for a convicted terrorist murderer named Khadr, and his kowtowing to Quebec over a pipeline to send Alberta crude to eastern refineries, easily defeating the childish argument about “dirty oil.” Newly minted AB Premier Kenny must step in and declare if the Grits get back in, from that day forward AB shall collect its own income tax, like Quebec.

Imagine that – Quebec collects their own income tax, but receives 70% of “equalization” for which they can provide largesse like $7/day daycare on our nickel. Scheer needs to face the reality that the CPC doesn’t need seats in QC to win majority and stop trying to please everyone. But stop trying to act like a conventional conservative and laugh off the alt right crap by pointing out Mr Trudeau has no problem insulting Canadians. Then eviscerate his 2015 joke of a platform to confirm the Grits can’t be trusted on any promises, pipelines or otherwise, and highlight their colossal waste of taxpayer dollars.

Or he could listen to OWG et al, not be a faux conservative, don his political grinch costume, and lose the country for us.

  8. Exactly John!!

I’m voting Bernier so that Trudeau wins again and we get a shot at our own country.

I spent two weeks down east this summer. No amount of logic, reason or math can convince those people that they are wrong in their ideology. Underlying their ideology is their disdain and outright hatred of everything “right wing” or oil and gas related. In other words they hate us because of who we are. They cheer for the failure and downfall of their fellow countrymen. My last days there I would only say they the feeling is mutual. That I wanted things to get so bad down there that their children and grandchildren will have to resort to sucking caulk just so they can get something warm in their stomach.

These weren’t strangers that I talked to but family members and one time close friends. Their seething hatred was unpalatable. I’m done with it.

Bring on Trudeau 2.0 and a free and independent Rupertsland!

    1. Glenardo:
In my experience, a motive for Down Easters petty resentment of the good people from the West is fundamentally an unspoken realization that Easterners are supported through taxation and government programs. The concept of self-actualization is so unrecognized that only a handful or two of businesses could really be called free market enterprises. From the Irvings to the fishing industry (a collection of subsidized millionaires), every industry is a product of a series of Liberal governments promotion of federal and provincial services…gun registry, military bases, Canada Firearms Centre et al.
Indeed, I believe some of the more preposterous make-work programs out of governments socialist schemes are contrived to boost employment and pay for votes from that region.
So think of it, and pity those who have a hard time holding their heads high knowing that, in the back of their minds, they are essentially Wards of the State. And many, as you well know, head West at any opportunity for gainful employment.

    2. Glenardo, I live in Fredericton, NB — and am a down-easter — and I am a conservative, fighting the good fight all of my life.

    1. Syphilis and Gonorrhea to 7 generations upon the House of Prinz Dumkoff and his seed. That son of a motherless goat.
