  1. I’ve been eating and enjoying Barnum’s Animal crackers for over 50 years. I will never buy them again; the decision to yield to PETA’s nonsensical pressure is enough to get me to seek out other brands. The cowardice shown by companys like Barnum’s is frightening; the matter is purely one of portrayal, rather than of any actually harmful or offensive practices.

What’s most surprising is that PETA didn’t insist on outright banning of animal crackers. Surely, eating replicas of wild animals is an act of violence committed against animals everywhere, and should be treated the same as poaching and species elimination.

  2. May I suggest a more … realistic … mural for their box? One where the lion has mounted the giraffe and is sinking claws and teeth into lonnng jugular veins. Blood spurting in all directions, propelled by the extraordinary pressure necessary to pump blood to the giraffes head. And that the bull elephant is charging and rearing over the gorilla in an attempt to kill it … and the zebra is bolting-away at a full gallop … involuntarily dropping road apples with every lunging step.

Such an unrealistic Disneyesque tableau of wild African animals living in harmonious close proximity … is both ridiculous and dangerous. I assume Fackebook will slap a disclaimer of FAKE imagery over this picture

  3. Barnum & Bailey caved to PETA in 2015.

They went out of business in 2017.

    Get Woke! Go Broke.

Kenji, You need to see more Disney Movies like the Lion King. Nature is peaceful and beautiful with wonderful background music.

    1. I wonder if Elton John would be eaten? Or if the animals can ‘taste’ his AIDS? Didn’t AIDS originate in Africa? From our simian cousins?

  4. I guess the Shirley Temple song Animal Crackers In My Soup will soon be banned as it doesn’t comply with PETA’s edicts.

  5. Anyone looking at the original box might notice the bars are behind the animals, this is if they pulled their heads out of their a**ses they might notice.

  6. As long as I can still bite the heads off the animals and leave the decapitated carcasses lying around I’m ok with it.

Oh. And I do that with the crackers, too.

  7. jeezuz murphy.
    gorilla populations tanking,
    elephant populations tanking,
likewise numerous other species, some no doubt gone FOREVER in our lifetime after being around millions of years.

aaaaaaaaaaand peta whines about the image on a cookie box.

  8. The PET Pot Party congratulates PETA with “gebruiken cookies”. Jawohl.

    …-

    “Down The Rabbit Hole

Wij gebruiken cookies om het gebruik van de website te analyseren en het gebruiksgemak te verbeteren.”

    1. Actually, thats Dutch…? and we would never ever use the the word “Jawol”. .A simple Ja…suffices.
The hatred of Germany persists – for damned good reason.

Hey Kate. Why is it that now we cannot seemingly stay connected.? Having to input name/e-mail ea time w post.? or is it just me.?

  9. No one should be eating this processed ratsh*t “food” to begin with. It’s already crap. I could care less what they put on their effing label.

    1. Ratshit is right.
The wife stuffs herself with is garbage. The complains about ache, pains, and eats handfulls of pills every morning.
She is 66 but my God woman, eat real food!!

  10. I would have left the bars on the cookies and went after the wild animals in Africa with some serious conservation in mind. But hey, I think virtue signaling is useless.

  11. Hey make cute vegetable crackers instead. No, wait, the vegans would freak, but they are also the peta idiots. Barnum said it, suckers….

  12. They just stepped on my turf.
I just started an organization, ‘people for the ethical treatment of cookies’.
    typing as as I ‘wolf’ (pun intended) down a couple hard boiled eggs . . . . . .

    jeezuz murphy.

  13. I haven’t had animal crackers in the house since the kids were little, but my wife does eat little crackers shaped like goldfish!

She even gives some to the dog!

I probably have grounds for divorce.

btw, do they still make “Crispy Critters”? The one and only cereal that comes in the shape of animals.

  14. Every surrender to these lunatics is another shovel full into the grave of open society, now defined by coercion not harmony.

Our prosperity shall follow a similar degradation, along with out safety.

How people don’t see the link between liberty, prosperity & safety is the great tragedy of our era.

They will when it gets up close and personal, but it will be too late for them, and us.

  15. How long before PETA bans horse sense, working like a dog, watching like a hawk, ducking for cover, having an eagle eye, and being stubborn as a mule?

Of course, they’ll ban all sorts of charitable and service clubs, such as the Lions, Elks, and Moose. Sports teams will have to change their names.

    The list is endless.

  16. Private industry is caving into political correctness/cult. Marxism, at an ever increasing rate.

The businesses surviving unscathed will have bravely told Peta et al to blow it out their as. .

In the human animal kingdom, as in the non-human animal kingdom. It’s survival of the fittest.
For the Chicken Little types… there is K.F.C. .

  17. I know it shows my immaturity when I am surprised at the Lengths an Un-needed Bureaucracy will Go to protect and project Their sinecures. —- It is surely Un-Canadian to complain.
