Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

“Not so long ago, human diseases caused by parasitic worms were thought to be confined to resource poor communities throughout Africa, Asia and South America. But in this age of global travel and changing climate, parasitic worms are slowly but surely moving into parts of Europe and North America. The long-term consequences of increased parasitic worm distributions are difficult to predict, but the harm that infection causes highlights the need for developing control strategies that can mitigate this 21st-century threat to global health.”
Such as, presumably, keeping carriers of parasitic worms out of Europe and north America by securing national borders, strictly enforcing immigration laws, and ensuring that people from nations with nothing to offer civilization but poverty, Islam and plagues of parasitic worms are not allowed to settle in Europe and north America.

Ohoh The parasitic worms follow the parasitic “migration”
Remember, diversity is our strength, presumable also diversity in diseases.
Globalism: one world, one government, one people, one culture, one plague.
No wonder they are flooding Vancouver. God help us if the new “owners” insist on bringing their own ‘workers’ to build/renovate their new abodes as is so common when they invest in foreign countries.
Re: Video of Investment Properties in China: ‘The Pillars of the Earth’ is an historical novel by Welsh author Ken Follett ( 1989 ) about the building of a Cathedral in the fictional town of Kingsbridge England. It is an excellent read about early construction as is the book ‘The DaVinci Code’ by Dan Brown. The many Cathedrals mentioned in these books were built in the 1100s and 1200s and are UNESCO World Heritage Sites today. The Guilds were then established of Architects, Masons, Sculptors, Painters, Glass Makers etc. These buildings took decades to build. Many generations followed their ancestors in the Trades, creating traditions and the passing of knowledge and training down the line.
What is shown in this empty village is of poor quality and built quickly with shoddy workmanship. It is unsafe. It is overbuilt. It is unacceptable. It is too costly versus what a rental costs. There is no ‘Sales Office’ in sight. This is what no ‘Building Codes’ look like. Crumbling cement? Crumbling concrete? Did they forget the formula like the Romans?
There is no comparison to some of the ancient buildings that still stand today. This is unfortunate. No pride in the workmanship, essentially. However, the designs of the Real Estate are modern and excellent and worth mentioning, in my opinion.
Potemkin Villages.
Sand is much cheaper than cement, or even good aggregate, and sell off the rebar while you are at it. It will last one, two, maybe three years, and you will be long gone before the mark realizes he was taken. Bribe the inspectors. Underpay the workers and let them pilfer a little to make up for it. Pay off the suppliers that provide the phony invoices for the material. See! The paperwork is in order. I have all these invoices! The inspectors signed off! I am a victim as much as you are! They cheated me too!
Sulfur in the drywall? Leaks in the roof? Bad plumbing? It all takes time to appear. Sell the houses to someone that isn’t even resident, and by the time the schmuck sees the rot, well you are nowhere to be found. You are investing your take in Vancouver, NYC, or London, far from the reach of Chairman Xi and the Chinese Communist Party, and building a bolt hole for your most precious possession, the one single grandchild that Mao’s One-Child Policy left you.
Priorities. Chinese Communist Party Ten Year Plans. China 2025. Chairman Xi’s China has priorities; they just don’t align with the priorities of some entrepreneurial Chinese People.
Chinese Real Estate is a ponzi scheme that represents the value of the Communist regime.
It is a worthless facsimile like the products China pawns on the rest of the world.
I learned in grade 2. You reap what you sow. You reap more of what you sow and you reap it after you sow it.
Enjoy the decline China. You earned it.
Yes. And your little emperor will inherit your business model. He will never, ever, ever give a Canadian a fair deal, except maybe the Libranos he bribes with money and perhaps his own daughters’ hands in marriage. He will happily build apartment blocks in Vancouver that collapse at the first rattle of a spoon in a teacup.
Everything the left want you to believe about Jews, that they’re bigoted, cheap, clannish and only be trusted as far as you can kick them, is the plain, simple truth in the case of the Chinese. If they can cut corners, they’ll cut corners. If they can cheat you, they will. If you let them take over your country, they’ll do that too.
Even other Asians hate them. China admits very few “refugees.” The only exceptions? Overseas Chinese who’ve worn out their welcome in other parts of Asia.
Once upon a time the Cambodians did not need much goading from the Khmer Rouge to slaughter their Chinese as soon as they had the chance, killing about half of them, along with their Muslims (the Khmer Rouge almost succeeded in solving Cambodia’s Muslim problem, but that’s another story).
The Chicom has succeeded in destroying traditional Chinese culture and ethics, but could only replace it with “loyalty to the party.” The buildings are but the most visible examples of its total disregard for the people. (Ironic in a “People’s Republic”, huh?) I saw a video of a maybe ten story apartment building (almost completed, luckily unoccupied) literally fall down like a domino. Even the most ornate buildings are built only for ten years, after which they replace it. So of course nothing is built to last. It’s just that some don’t even last that long.
To make rice noodles white they bleach it. Really, literally bleach it. They put furniture fillers in baby formula to pass the protein scan. It turns out that kills the babies. They still did it anyway. And the authorities put the protesting father in jail instead of the manufacturers. We do not buy any food manufactured in China. You have to be really careful. “Distributed” by a firm in the U.S. (or Canada I suppose) does not mean it was not made in China. You have to see where it is made. And if you can’t, don’t buy it. I used to buy “organic” from China because it passed the USDA, until I found out that was pretty much a rubber stamp.
The shoddy workmanship shows up everywhere. Canada is not doing its brand name any favors by stamping Chinese steel as Canadian and re-exporting it to the U.S. Economic issues aside, selling shoddy Chinese steel as Canadian is fraudulent and could be a life and death issue if a building or bridge collapses.
A group of us made the mistake of booking a local Chinese Yangtze cruise. The shower was clogged. They gave us a new cabin and the shower was still clogged. The food was terrible. And the passengers were the most boorish we have ever encountered. We just stuck together and never interacted with them. That was sad because the point of the booking was to be with people with common ancestry.
I love my traditional Chinese culture, and it’s just terrible what the Chicom has done. I also love my American political tradition based on the Constitution, and I’ll fight to the death to see it’s not destroyed the same way.
The Chinese construction video, posted, makes for compelling viewing. I am a research economist, one who regularly reads and watches the business news, and this issue is vastly underreported by the establishment corporate media. It’s good that underground videos like this circulate through the Internet.
David, I believe the Chicom combines the worst aspects of communism, the old Manchu Mandarin corruption, and the company town.
To address the last first, China now is like a company town grown obscenely huge. All the supposedly different companies are in fact state controlled. The Hong Kong people call their CEOs “Rich Second Generation,” as the top party officials are the first generation. They are worse than the companies that de facto run the town. If you don’t like it, you can leave town. China is one huge and difficult “town” to leave.
In the old Manchu days, if you had a grievance you can appeal to the town, or province magistrate, but you better bring enough to grease the palm of every official behind a desk, and even every doorman, en route. This has been continued by the Chicom. I read the synopsis of a book just on this very topic, about doing business in Communist China. I forgot the book or the author’s name, you may have an idea. In a word, EVERY official in Communist China is corrupt. Anti-corruption campaigns are nothing more than the new person in power (Xi) getting rid of the old guard. They don’t have to quote policy, they just got rid of them for corruption, which again EVERY single official is guilty of.
And of course, ultimately, everything comes back to the party, whose officials rank higher than the official hierarchy, in every jurisdiction. It sort of reminds me of the late Ming dynasty, when the emperors only trusted their own eunuchs. Eunuchs were assigned to watch every army unit, and had power over the commanding officers. That was one reason why they fought so badly.
It is a grave mistake to believe you can deal with Chinese companies as though they operated in a democracy. The party controls everything. Proof is the fact that in spite of all the Western fantasies about Communist Chinese liberalization, just like that, Xi has made himself the new Mao. His name has been inserted into the Constitution, and his portrait hangs in almost every home. The People’s Congress, of course, has always been a rubber stamp.
ooooh. ooooooooooohhhhh sir you are so correct.
I was in Hong Kong twice, hobnobbed with chinese for a couple decades, THEY admitted to the corruption.
which has existed longer than bureaucracy invented in chirer.
rotten rotten rotten to the deep down core.
Ive seen vids of high end cars, the 100K + category, zooming over the waves on the deck of a speedboat on their way from HK or Macau to the driveway of a communist official on the mainland.
etc etc.
NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER trust a chirese ‘business’man.
migawd, back in the days of mao, it became well known that the chirese negotiators would gladhand, smile, nod, words words words ‘a man is good as his word’ all sorts of verbal agreements at numerous levels, and . . . and . . . . . . . . . when it came time to apply and enforce the ‘verbal’ side of the agreement, said same chirese would then point to the OFFICIAL WRITTEN version of the agreement.
they planned it that way.

From 2:35 on you will see where Turdoo has relegated Canadas stature on the world stage.
We are at the bottom of the Nations financially committed to NATO and he is positioned in his deserved spot.
He just looks so lonely and disrespected way out there on the end. Canada needs a revolution and a new fundamental awakening as a democratic republic.

Canada is ranked 25th. These lists are very subjective. As an example, they have Fit for Service of 13,025,000. I’m thinking they’re giving way too much credit to the average skinny-armed, fat phucks I see waddling around in pants too tight, with stoopid beards and samey-same tattoos of something unclear yet clearly silly.
Israel is ranked 16th and yeah they are surrounded by enemies, but Canada’s might in comparison is embarrassing.
“PROMISE MADE, PROMISE KEPT: Watch As Doug Ford Celebrates The Retirement Of The “Six-Million-Dollar Man”
The elites said it couldn’t be done. But the entire Hydro One Board is now on the way out.
During the campaign, Doug Ford repeatedly said he would get rid of the “Six-Million-Dollar Man” (AKA Hydro One CEO Mayo Schmidt).
He also said he would clean house, getting rid of the entire Hydro One Board, who massively increased energy costs on the People while receiving massive financial compensation.
The elitist media and Ford’s opponents said it couldn’t be done.
They were wrong.
Schmidt is retiring, and the entire Hydro One Board have announced that they will resign.”

Since Ford doesn’t actually have the power to can these guys, I find myself wondering if some backroom leverage wasn’t applied. Those guys are dirty as sin and there has to be blackmail fodder out there.
At 47.4 % provincial ownership, Ford has effective control. Timing would be the only consideration. They probably took a few million to walk. The ugly lesbian busied herself selling off the crown jewels to provide socialist trinkets to the rabble.
ah, scar, do you mean the dykes trotting out huge expenditures on ‘infrastructure’ aka Tranna?
whereas cheap hydro benefits, literally, EVERYWHERE any form of electrical energy exists and is utilized.
from e-v-e-r-y street light in the *&&^$#&$ province, to huge employers using copious amounts in their mfging activity, to the little old lady down the street who lights out a 9 every evening to save on electricity.
but that approach didnt buy votes, whereas caving in the LIEberals in Tranna at the expense of E-V-E-R-Y-O-N=E else did work.
well, for ONE election, but that’s the price SHE was willing to [make the province’s citizens and taxpayers] pay.
every time I called to local hydro company pleading for a couple more weeks to cough up the rest of the bill SHE ‘customized’, I sarcastically requested the agent post a mass mail email looking for the biggest meanest fellow employee to pay her a visit a BASH her in the go&^^%$#*&$mn face.
then Doug Ford entered the picture.
Maybe not blackmail. These were not corporate directors, they were political hacks doing the bidding of the previous government but in the legal context of of corporate directorship. Very likely that some of the politically motivated decisions might have exposed them to significant personal liability. As directors, their fiduciary duty was to the corporation, not to the government, even if it was a crown corporation. Not to be mean spirited and vindictive, but I think some life ruining examples have to be made of a few political hacks to dissuade future malfeasance. A good example may be the MB Hydro board borrowing money in order to pay dividends to the then NDP government, as they could possibly be personally liable to the shareholders for the amount borrowed to pay dividends.
That is my concern also. Why are they willing to disappear without a fuss? Since they abused the pubic trust (in my view) , maybe they could have been sued. The financial exploitation is a nasty black mark on the board and on the Liberal government.
This is old news. Remember Eleanor Clitherow (sp) – she of the last Ontario Hydro firing. Same old same old. Nothing changes.
Anyone remember the news stories about China targeting tariffs to hurt Trump’s supporters in farm states? At least for the present ……. IT’S NOT WORKING.
