That could explain why I see ads for CBC on CNN. Now could someone explain to me why they advertise on Fox News? Especially since they keep claiming they need more funding.

This is true and almost certainly a result of the CRTC positioning CNN in the basic packages of Canadians.
You have to pay for the News packages to get FoxNews and therefore few watch it.
It was also the fate of SunNews.
And they say there is no anti-conservative bias.
You probably saw that on CNN.
Most infuriating to me, I seem to constantly run into examples of Fox and Breitbart sourcing CNN in their articles. How do you constantly ridicule CNN and then supply them as a source in a story that otherwise has nothing to do with CNN? They should be embarrassed of their own brash hypocrisies.
I remember when CNN first lost it’s credibility with me as a legitimate news source. It was when I realized that their “BREAKING NEWS” banner must be broken because they seemed to be unable to ever take it down.
Note to Zucker…. The 14th hour of coverage of Trump scratching his nose, riveting as that may be to some, is NOT breaking news.
Or on FoxNews. As if anyone regularly watching FoxNews would switch to CBC. Chortle, chortle.
CNN ratings are based on Canadian viewership which technically should not count and a mandated channel for airports which people will only glance at if they can hear the sound at all…That’s good.

Clown Network News has become a parody of itself. The anchors and on-air personalities all appear to be outpatients of some “recovery” program. Something just “off” about all of them. They sound “medicated” … and I legitimately worry that one of them is going to become a mass-shooter …
