I think this was supposed to be in the intellectual and moral superior category. Read the caption of the photo of the gas mask
“Thirty years after the fallout, Mr Migutin found that while men continue to stay away – animals and plants are thriving. Pictured, a wild fox called Simon.”
Call a fox what you will to tug at the heartstrings of idiots, their average lifespan is about 3years. A fox would be dead before you could say why they are dead, “Because of…?” Yeah, good sample for a study…and your controls were???/
Humans?! Well their average life span today is about 70 years.(in countries that have nuclear technology)
Want to prove Chernobyl is safe? Live in the danger zone for 25 years.(warning: death by radiation poisoning is long and painful)
Would I live there even if I had cancer? Are you crazy? Even the civilized parts of Asia Major have shit food.
My mom (an American journalist) happened to be there at the time. The Soviets, not wishing bad publicity, didn’t let her know and evacuate her. She found out about it when she left Russia via Finland, just as the fallout cloud was reaching there, so she spent an extended time in the fallout.
She had to have a number of melanomas removed over the years, but we saved a lot of money on night lights, so we had that going for us, which was nice.
A lot of the pictures look like they had been taken in Detroit.
Some pictures look as though they had been painted by H.R. Geiger, one of my favourite artists. Very interesting style, I like it. The documentary on the wolves of Chernobyl was fascinating too. The resilience of life was unexpected by many.

I wish he had just taken the pictures without the color distortion filters. The reality is not nearly as gloomy .
