  1. Cogent points very well presented. However the liberal will remain a liberal and will ignore them all. You can not use logic to disabuse someone of beliefs they did not arrive at logically. The liberal wants to believe his liberal talking points because it makes him feel warm and fuzzy.

  2. ” The liberal wants to believe his liberal talking points because it makes him feel warm and fuzzy.”
Exactly. We have to always remember that the underlying basic premise of the progressive, today’s liberal, yesterday’s communist, when it comes to family issues, is that the state’s aim is to become the father and mother of each family. Hence Larry Elder’s comparison of the 1960s black and white families to today’s black and white families. The state wants to break up the traditional family unit.

  3. It’s easy to lay out a clear case when there isn’t someone ready to howl and shut the speaker down as soon as they hear a trigger word. That’s probably why liberals are so quick to start screaming about racism.

  4. Wow — time for a rethink. Think Antifa will pay any attention — or the Liberals and compliant media? Elder certainly has his stats down and they solidly support what he is saying. In part, the racial problems in the States continue to exist because we are not honest about what causes them. The focus at the moment is on on those Civil War statues and certainly tearing them down will not change anything in terms of race relations. Race relations have deteriorated in large part because ongoing bad behaviour among some Blacks, but that is never acknowledged.

  5. All these arguments could easily be applied to Canada’s so-called indigenous population. They won’t be, of course, for all the same reasons.

  6. The problem of fatherless children has been known and written about for decades. Daniel Moynihan was writing about it already in the 60s and George Gilder in the 80s. But it has become the third rail in American politics. Cries of “Racism” or “Sexism” in any attempt to discuss this go back almost as far. Remember Dan Quayle and Murphy Brown? That was 25 years ago. What used to be stigma is now defined as “lifestyle choice” which also applies to sexuality. Until that changes Western scoiety is doomed.

  7. Why do so many black people VOLUNTEER to remain on the Plantation? The Marxist Democrat Government Plantation? Is it because they will happily trade their FREEDOM for a paltry existence of FREE room and board … and an Obamakkare ‘Bronze’ plan? Sad. Really sad.

  8. Just a classic example of what I have stated for years about lefties and well worth the few minutes to watch.

  9. You got to remember that socialist ideology is a religion or akin to.
Once you are snatched into it, not unlike invasion of body snatchers, you are basically brainwashed in so far that you are superior and the most decent and those that think otherwise are just not fit to live.
Growing in a socialist country run by communists, have a firsthand experience.
The socialist ideology state of mind holds on to you until you leave highscrool (sic) or whatever is equivalent of highscrool, although you begin to have problems with the theories that were installed in your head by the teachers and parallel reality.
You see, as you count the years, you progressively begin to see the ideology does not match the reality, it never does. As long as you are immune from input that is other than ideology, it works. Once you wake up, as it were, you find world to be wholly different from ideology.
As an example, the socialist ideology insist that workers are united and they are the government. They are told that they are the ones that run everything. Then you are told that the “socialist inteligencia” is supervising (the actual rulers), the workers that are the rulers. You notice the sleight of hand?
While that is true, the socialist ideology religion insists that it is the workers that are the rulers.
Without going on and on, you may have noticed that the most schools (understand that it is a wide concept) in North America if not in Europe, teach socialist ideology. Of course it has a sophisticated terminology, so the course will be called “social studies”. This is vehicle for ideology period. And of course it continues all the way to and through universities.
So you have whole generations that have been taught the socialist doctrines. Is there any wonder that those that come out of school today, can’t believe the real world? Have a serious misapprehension that things in natural world are not the same as the make believe socialist ideology? Question if somebody has a different experience from what they were told for so many years?
You have to understand that it is most difficult to question and realize that what you were taught is not necessarily the way world works?
Yeah, that could shake up your being something fierce and you may just decide to go with the flow, its safer…….until the house of cards gets blown with the wind.
Isn’t it curious that Carola never went to college? That may be why he can be dismissed in some quarters since he did not get the indoctrination.
One could ramble and rant, though not being a writer or “journalist” better stop.
AS an aside, is CALLE a favored word in captcha?

fortunately, there are still a few samsons’ out there…

  11. I’ve been following the Rubin Report for over a year now. It’s been fascinating to watch an open-minded person allow himself to be converted by logic and reason.

  12. I wish I could consider Larry Elder as my equal … but I just can’t. No, Larry is a ‘black’ man and I am a ‘white’ man. And Larry is far more articulate and intelligent than I am about racial statistics in the US. Larry is far superior to me. He is NOT my ‘equal’, he is ‘better’ than me. Is that ‘racist’ of me?

  13. Warren –
I agree. I have been listening to the Rubin Report podcasts and they have been fascinating. If we are truly interested in getting more people to come around to our way of thinking, we can’t incessantly castigate them just because they have not caught up with us yet. I admire Rubin immensely. He doesn’t shout. His show is calm. It is like listening in to an old fashioned discussion. His journey to where he is today is fascinating.

  14. Check out Elder’s book “The Ten Things You Can’t Say in America”
Number 1 on the list is “Blacks Are More Racist Than Whites”.

  15. “Or bigoted atheists like you 666. Get back on topic or go away. moron.”
Have to correct your spelling, joe. Our finance minister is Morneau. He is a moron, but…

  16. Rubin gives it up when he claims “as a Liberal he cares”, which somehow suggests that Conservatives don’t.
What it really means though is that Liberals care about caring and support policy based on intent rather than consequences.
It is one reason why things run by progressive liberals can never get better or fix the problem.

  17. The very fact that you recognize it & can openly discuss your “failings” WRT Larry, says a lot about you. Not that you actually have any real failings WRT Larry. Kudos, man.
This man is very comfortable with himself & society. He has concerns though, like most of us should & is quite open to discussing them with just about anybody.
I don’t recognize anybody north of 49 with the same ability, or any inclination to even be like Larry, on any subject. It’s pretty much the politics of “no”, “shut up”, “ban it”. No discussion at all, because we are fast making discussion illegal.

  18. “….I don’t recognize anybody north of 49 with the same ability, or any inclination to even be like Larry,….”
    Whaddaya mean! C’mon man!
Lots of outspoken don’t-mince-no-words Conservatives up here!
You know….Paddy Brown, Andy Scheer, Brian Jean, Jason Kenny!
Tough guys! Not afraid to call a spade a f*&^%*g shovel!
Oh Ye of little faith. 😉

  19. at least Kenny admits Alberta Government is “broke”. as in “busted”. as in living offa other people’s money. meaning the banksters.

  20. I live “up here” in Alberta, hence the moniker. Calgary to be precise.
Brian Jean is a squish, Brown is an LPOC plant (figuratively & I suspect actually) & Scheer is another squish. They are progs ie: commies of a slightly pinkish hue vs out right red LPOC Green & NDP versions. Those three are still scared of their shadows as so-called conservatives & refuse to even speak like one. They pay lip service to conservatism of any sort. They speak with forked tongues.
With guys like that for conservative mentors or idealists, they don’t even come close. So, yeah, not much faith here if theuy were the only choice & I voted for them.
Kenny will tell you that you’re broke, to your face, so guess who I will vote for? Unless some meteorite hits the UCP dust up tomorrow, Kenny will be leader & we can start to think of taking this province back from the NDP carpetbaggers from BC & Ontario, with pipelines to said .govs.

  21. “The problem of fatherless children has been known and written about for decades. …”
It has been written of for about as long as there has been written language and was known before that. The term “bastard” has been considered derogatory for most of history because plenty of children with fathers turned out badly, one without a father was likely to turn out worse.

  22. Without a “lack of social justice” there would be no need for these collectivist progressives, left to harmlessly reveal their intellectual laziness.
The idea of existent, spontaneous social justice would make it difficult for self-appointed elites to fashion their scapegoats to cover their failure.
Again, why would we need these fools if there was social justice? I love doing what Larry Elder in asking for data and examples.
This is difficult when you believe in an anti-ideology, progressivism, that is based on pure emotion and assumption. Hint: no data.
Then like this interview, the social justice type will turn to the realist to prove their argument for them and call them angry if they don’t. SOP.
