When I was around that age, the “age appropriate” books that we read were about Dick and Jane as well as their critters Spot and Puff. I guess I had a lousy education, didn’t I?

A story about a child going through gender transition?! Hormones, surgery, the whole thing? How can a CHILD make a determination like that?! People in this school board should be terminated immediately, charged with child abuse, and be jailed. And ANY doctor, psychologist, psychiatrist, or social worker that lend themselves to this madness should have their liscences revoked, be charged, and jailed. It seems that there are not enough lamp-posts for these degenerate scum. When society takes a downturn, as surely it will, these “people” enabling this insanity need to be hung first.

I credit this book, and its “morality tale” of hard work and reward for becoming a conservative. Because the book simply “made sense”. Nobody likes the free-loaders who are willing to EAT the bread … but not to help MAKE the bread.
Traditional “morality tales” have been supplanted with the IMMORALITY of “transgenderism” (among other perversions) … at the KINDERGATEN level for God’s sake! If there is a God … Heaven, and Hell … then the ghouls (like this teacher) will spend eternity in a permanent state of weeping and gnashing of teeth … for the HARM they have done to little children. During my freshman year, I shared a room with an education major and he liked unconventional teaching methods. (The fact that he wanted to be a teacher wasn’t surprising as his father was a school principal.) He particularly liked A. S. Neill and his Summerhill school.
I wouldn’t be in the least bit shocked if he advocated what the school in the original article is doing.
Despite my former roommate’s loopy views, we remained friends for several years until I started grad studies and he got married.
The last I heard, he retired from his job as high school counsellor and is now a part-time social activist.

I have to assume that there would be at least a slight uptick in morbidity solely due to the long-term consequences of radical surgery and hormone injections.
