Renegade Regulator

The Canadian Standards Association (CSA) is seriously serious about the environment. Seriously. In fact, they’ve proudly announced their intention to insert climate change things and stuff into their standards.

Seriously.

  1. Well why not?
CAGW is about as factual as many of their other imaginary risks to the public.Tamper resistant receptacles being a wonderful example.
Instead of allowing foolish children to get a shocking education, one hand contact by inserting object in receptacle..Now the smart child gets a two handed shock, right through the heart, which is generally fatal.
    Safety..killing the smart ones.

  2. Several City Councils in the San Francisco Bay Area have proposed a moratorium on ALL new building adjacent to the San Francisco Bay … due to Al Gore’s projected sea level rise and Global Warming. So, while the politicians whine and moan and propose “solutions” to the high cost of housing … they simultaneously restrict development … under the FRAUD of Global Warming. And further ADD to the cost of housing with excessive “energy” regulations.
And BTW … CA Title-24 has EXTENSIVE rules governing electrical codes. Mandating “high efficacy” light fixtures, and mandated occupancy sensor switches in all residences. Congrats Canada !! You’re following “progressive” CA. Soon … your housing costs will approach ours (not just in the toney BC neighborhoods).

  3. Remember, if we’re managing the store just fine, then who needs these losers who are only good at picking government?
Enjoy, from a rehabilitated “liberal,” who shows those who hate Trump, think life is terrible, it’s the “worst year,” are trapped in their deluded lefty fantasies.
I think his ideas at catching on, that Dems crave negativity to take emphasis off Donald Trump’s accomplishment and their bankrupt progressivism.

  4. Not sure if it was intended but the result is quite clever:
high efficacy: “the ability to produce or create a desired or intended result” versus
high efficiency: “the state or quality of being efficient.”
Personally I think the first one is more likely given the government’s true objective is behaviour modification and not energy savings.

  5. Of course you are correct. However the sad part is that I did not stutter or use the wrong word. High “efficacy” is the exact word written into T-24
I am FORCED by law to … signal my virtue … with the flip of every switch.

  6. Dear Mr. Trudeau:
Most of what we (I) buy is made in China.
How will that affect my relationship with the CSA??

PS: Who is the CSA?? Are they the people who decide what size the pigs and the cows are in my grandkid’s John Deere farm set?? We don’t want kids swallowing plastic pigs now do we!
