  1. A Texas Holdum poker tournament with all interested party members each
limited to a $200 dollar stake would produce a better leader compared
to the groaner on offer at present.

  2. Quite right, it is taking far too long. Like a very bad version of Survivor (which itself is appalling) in which everyone is reluctant to vote anyone off the island.
So time to start tossing people overboard. Start with O’Leary, who’s simply a shameless opportunist.

  3. There is lost of time until the next federal election. A race between a lower number of candidates would take just as long. The process will work itself out like it is designed to.
P.S. Mad Max for the win.

  4. I agree. There’s no rush and there’s good reason everyone who wanted to run for the leadership had the opportunity to participate in the process. For me it’s come down to Scheer, Bernier, Lemieux but not necessarily in that order. There’s plenty of time to think about it before I fill out the ballot and mail it in.

  5. I guess Conservatives could have been more efficient and just hired an actor to play the role of leader. Now where have I seen that done?

  6. Ben Mulroney is an actor of sorts, he has hair, he can walk and he’s from Queerbec (although he doesn’t have a frenchy name)… The down side is he’s slightly above the substitute drama teacher/ frisbee coach status thats now required for the Prime Ministership of Trudopiastan… he’s over qualified.

  7. “It’s taking too long. There are too many candidates. And it’s boring.”
    Yes. Yes. And yes.

  8. I am getting phone calls and multiple emails every day, and it is getting tiresome.
Last night I got another one of those lame, 3 question automated telephone surveys, this time from the Kellie Leitch campaign. The recorded voice lady spoke so slowly I wondered if she had dementia or some kind of post-stroke deficit. Or maybe the campaign has sedated her too.

  9. … and that’s EXACTLY what everyone was saying about the Republican Primary … until Trump destroyed the pile-up of FAILED so-called Republicans. And SHE snickered, and cackled, at the “disarray” of the Republican Party. SHE had no clue about the POWER of the PEOPLE. SHE forgot that 1960’s leftist slogan … black power slogan … “Power to the People – Right ON !” (clenched fist raised above head, with black glove). Which Canadian Conservative will consolidate the PEOPLE’S vote ? Who will replicate the Trump miracle ?

  10. Better to have a large number of candidates in a fairly contested leadership race than the coronations and false contests that the left run.

  11. That’s why smart people use answering machines to screen calls and their computers have a “Delete” key.
