We Don’t Need No Stinking Giant Fans

Rex Murphy;

The McGuinty-Wynne “world leadership on the climate change (global warming)” file is an exercise mat for flexibility training. How else could the Ontario government have mastered its current somersaults on what it hilariously refers to as its energy policy; sending rebates to citizens unable to pay to light and heat their homes, precisely because that same government went full green and put energy costs in a place where people cannot pay to light and heat their homes. The Ontario Green Dream is the world’s first genuine (taxpayer) perpetual motion machine.

  1. Never could understand the justification of equalization payments, its really nothing more than redistribution of wealth on a large scale. Why should Ontario { where I happen to live } get money from any other Province as a way of helping to alleviate the results of electing idiots. Maybe if the so called have not Provinces had to do without equalization they would give more thought regarding who they voted for.

  2. Given the Pansy’s LOVE for Dictatorships (a genetic trait), are we surprised at his Up yours attitude towards criticism of any of his policies…?? I lambaste this prick on a daily basis:
    PM@PM.GC.CA goes right to the PMO..
    That this utter sack of camel dung needs to turfed is without question…it cannot come soon enough for me.
    The only bright spot in Elected politics these days in all of Western Ci8vilization is South of us… Here’s hoping Marine le Pen and Geert Wilders win their respective elections..!!!

  3. Ontario loves Liberals, lying Liberals, no problem, they elect them repeatedly. For this reason we can expect Wynne to spend more of our money, go deeper in debt and win the next election. The media is already stocking their ammo to fire off against the PC’s to ensure Madam Wynne a victory.

    As regards Ontario and Québec, I tend to agree; these two provinces should be among the wealthiest and least deserving of Federal largesse. However, the case for the Maritimes is somewhat different, in my view.
    But beyond the difficulties I have with the details of the equalization programme, the fundamental principle is sound: haves should help have-nots.
    After all, the provincial taxes paid by Albertans in wealthier parts of the province are used in part to assist poorer regions in the province.

    However, your comment goes back to my essential quibble. Ontario doesn’t a single dollar “from any other Province”; it gets a cheque from Ottawa paid out from Federal tax revenues.

  6. Yep, it’s called “Equalization”, a plan to top up provinces who manage their money badly at the expense of those who do.

  7. anyone who continues to vote liberal after the McGuinty/Wynne disaster is certifiably insane and should not be walking free among us.

  8. That is why Michael Harris got fired from CFRA Ottawa too much liberal bias
