The highest ranking executive that is elected in Canada is the office of Mayor. All other political executives including the Head of State, Senators, PM’s and Premier’s are all appointed by a foreigner retard who will soon be replaced by her even more retarded son.
The Head of State is the Queen – not appointed by the Queen. The Governor-General selected by the Prime Minister – then confirmed by the Queen. The Prime Minister is the leader of the elected party most likely to control the House of Commons and confirmed by the Governor General – not appointed by the Queen. A Premier is the leader of the elected party most likely to control the Legislature and confirmed by the Lieutenant Governor – not appointed by the Queen.

If we had the typical republican government, the only difference would be the Governor General would be an elected president with the powers of a eunuch. The only independent decision allowed the Governor General/President position is selecting a prime minister when the choice is not obvious which has happened once in 150 years.
