Innocent boys being accused of rape on college campuses; genuine rapes committed by gangs of Muslim taxi drivers in northern England and by gangs of Muslim immigrants in German cities like Cologne; hundreds of thousands driven into fuel poverty, landscapes ravaged, avian fauna sliced and diced as a result of crazy renewable energy policies; a Nobel-prize-winning scientist driven out of his job because a feminist loser misreported something he said about women at a conference; generations of kids denied a rigorous, disciplined, useful education; the needless violence and tension engendered by #blacklivesmatter: we should never concede the moral high ground to the kind of people who make all this sort of stuff possible, no matter how many times they tell us how evil and selfish and uncaring we are.
The Progressive Left justifies all of their pogroms by declaring their lofty goals and never thinking through possible consequences. And when they are proven wrong, they dissemble by 1) Blaming others, and 2) Claiming they meant well.
On the other hand, when the Progressive Left looks at Conservative solutions to those problems, they immediately find all the possible things that might go wrong (even on a small scale), then declare the solution to be unworkable because it isn’t perfect.
We’ll never be rid of this, because Progressive solutions are ALWAYS things that sound nice and aren’t supposed to impose much cost on individual supporters. When you use that approach to selling your agenda, you’ll always get a lot of buyers.

The education system, media and bureaucracy in Canada and to a lesser extent the USA are controlled by progressives. I see little to no effort in Canada to change this. Who knows where Trump will end up taking the Americans.
