6. My mom, in Vancouver, just had a conversation with a German-Canadian friend of hers. The relatives of this woman, back in Germany, are seriously worried that America will go to war against Germany over the next 4 years.
   Where do people get such nonsensical ideas? The fact that some Germans are actually thinking this might explain why they let their government get away with most anything.

10. You remind me. I received an email from my cousin and he talks about relatives that emigrated from Russia to Germany around 1990. Some are considering moving back to Siberia or trying to emigrate to Canada as they think the future looks dark for them in Germany. Putin or Merkel’s Muslim Germany, what a choice.

    That’s because my generation of immigrants (which came over in the years following the end of WW II) came to seek opportunities that weren’t immediately available in the old country. We came to make a fresh start. We came to seek and, perhaps, make our fortunes and do so by our own efforts. We came to build a country.
    Those “immigrants” and “refugees” that Merkel imported into present-day Germany and which PM Potato Head wants to inflict upon us want, on the whole, none of that. They come to mooch off the social benefits, they come to pillage and destroy, and they come to subjugate us under the “religion of peace”.

Some like UnoMe will never get it as they are just as interested in destroying western Europe and North America as they hate classical western Liberal democracy as much as the ME ones.

17. The new immigrants will and are integrating, and will make Germany and Canada more prosperous.
    Mass rape attacks and increased crime are hardly signs of successful integration. Just look at what’s happened in Sweden. It’s happening in Germany and it’ll happen here.

18. It’s already ‘happened’ here: a new wave of immigrants arrived (Irish, Chinese, Germans, etc)
    The ancestors of my family immigrated to New France in 1632. They brought skills, land was available to farm and cities were building for those who had trades and merchant experience. For the most part they coexisted cooperatively with the aboriginals. English immigrants arrived later, and only then did conflict arise when both sides recruited aboriginal mercenaries. Even though the conflict was often brutal, both English and French shared the Christian religion. The English eventually won, and many of us who had farmed the land for generations were told to move or buy the family farm at ‘fair market value’. They spread out across North America building towns and farms in the new western territories. They migrated in groups of families, with each family bringing one of the trades needed to build a new community. Those and others like them built communities and ‘settled the land’. That new wave of emigrants from Europe and Asia found work to be done and a good living could be made in a growing country.
    That was then, this is now. Many of the new migrants bring no skills, their culture is diametrically opposed to ours on many levels, and they’re here to conquer, not integrate. Their religion dictates that. Like KenK says they “want to turn our countries into the shítholes they came from.”
    They’ll probably do that in the muslim ghettos of our big cities where their population exceeds the 5% threshold to demand we change to suit them. However they’re going to have a difficult time with that agenda in western Canada’s small towns where they can’t form ghettos or enclaves. Multicultural integration can happen in small towns where there is a diverse minority population and kids go to school together, play sports together, and interact socially in a culturally diverse community.
    If everyone wants to work together cooperatively, culturally diverse communities can thrive. It fails if one group wants to control the others or when one group demands special treatment, like many aboriginals and muslims do.

    Exactly. When we came to Canada in the mid-1950s, the economy was booming and there was a need for skilled tradesmen and professionals. The country was doing big things, such as building the St. Lawrence Seaway, the Trans-Canada Highway, and the Trans-Canada Pipeline.
    Nothing even approaching that is happening now. Our educational system is turning out graduates in areas where there are few jobs and, no, there is no shortage of engineers and scientists in this country.
    What do the “immigrants” and “refugees” have to offer to this country except hatred and contempt for our way of life, no intention to integrate, and no desire to swear loyalty to Her Canadian Majesty?
