  1. Five dwarves? Dopey, Doc, Sleepy, uhhhh, Bashful…uhhhh, Dirty, in places?
Five deadly sins? So one tell Brad Pitt that based on the math, his wife’s head might not be in that box?
    Jeezuz.

  2. The 7 are pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath, and sloth; a list of just some of the important attributes required for employment at CBC.
I don’t care much about the 7 smull guys except maybe grumpy who I could easily share a beer with.

  3. Note – the article allows readers to correct typos…
I’m sure the authors name is incorrectly spelled.

  4. I won’t be surprised when the CBC references the 7 Commandments or the 10 Disciples either.
It’s the CBC. only the sports scores are correct.

  5. 90,000 supporters? That’s only about 89,000 supporters more than in the enviro groups like the ‘Peas that CBC likes to shill for.

  6. Just a guess: we listen to them because they accumulate, analyze and report data that is embarrassing to government. They let use know when we are getting ripped off. They’re doing work no one else is willing to do.
Debating the quality and content of their reports is fair game I suppose but the argument that they’re irrelevant because there’s only five is laughable, bizarre. We also have only one Auditor General, one Governor General and nine Supreme Court Justices. If the CBC’s argument was valid, that it’s all about the number, then I suppose we shouldn’t listen to them either. What the CBC is really saying is that independent oversight of government spending and calling people “taxpayers” is not in the CBC’s or government’s interest.
Under a reformed voting system, I’d like to see the CTF form a political party. Canadian taxpayers could really use a party that is fiscally conservative but won’t get bogged down by conservative social issues. After four years of Liberal taxing and spending, there’ll certainly be an appetite for cutting spending and reducing taxes.

  7. A fiscally Conservative party that won’t get bogged down by conservative social issues. Yes please.

  8. You don’t have to worry there. Envy and sloth are the 2 most important principles of socialism so those 2 will never become extinct. On the other hand gluttony could well become a little more rare since hunger follows socialism just as sure as night follows day.

  9. The five dwarves. Is that from “Goldilocks and the 5 Dwarves” or “Little Red Riding Hood and the 5 Dwarves” or perhaps “Rumpelstiltskin and the 5 Dwarves?” Maybe Romeo and Julius Caesar and the 5 Midgets.

  10. The CBC has 12 board members . Presently , according to a blog it is the conservative broadcasting corporation as 8 of the members were appointed by the previous government ( as of April , 2016 ) . You can’t make this stuff up ! Anyway they are the legitimate voice vrs the CT F , as they have more board members. It’s obvious your voice should have no credibility when 90,000 people support you by choice with their own money vrs your support by 30,000,000 with no choice !

  11. You don’t want social conservatism? Then enjoy your trip down the creek without a paddle. I want a political party with out you. You will NEVER have my support. I will NEVER vote for any politician you support. When they came for me, you were silent; when they come for you there will be no one left to speak out. Niemöller. Let me know how taking advise from your enemies to win elections works out for you. It’s worked so well for you so far.

  12. So if I get this straight, CBC, or at least one of its long-time Liberal supporters, criticizes a citizens group which analyzes and critiques government spending and taxation, all on its own dime. Meanwhile the CBC with $1.2B funding and dozens of “investigative journalists” can’t quite find the time to do the same thing. Given their boast of keeping government honest, wouldn’t that fall under CBC’s do do list? Not with this government in charge.

  13. Bennet and Ryan.
Can you please point to a fiscally “conservative” government anywhere, and at any time, in Canadian history?
