Even Justin wouldn’t take her.

May deems the BDS furor ‘old news’ now. Decides nothing.

Elizabeth May says she will continue to lead the Green Party after long consideration spurred by the party’s decision to support a controversial resolution supporting sanctions against Israel.

Read the following as: “I love the being paid part….”

“I love being a member of Parliament. I don’t love politics. I don’t love being Leader of the Green Party. It is not really something I’d recommend to a good friend. It’s not fun,” she said in an Aug. 5 interview. “Politics is awful.”

Well, DUHHH, was there ever a doubt? Living the life of Reilly as a nobody MP with a huge salary and benefits, gets her name in the paper every day. Meanwhile simple-minded wingnuts and journalists lap up her every word. Who wouldn’t want that job?”
I thought this comment at the link deserved repeating.
May’s little “drama” smacked of getting-my-name-in-the-media more than anything.
The shame of it all is this useless twit will be on the taxpayer’s account for another 25 years, including a magnificent pension.

  2. “I love being a member of Parliament.” It wouldn’t, by any chance, have anything to do with that generous pension you’ll be getting when you “retire” after–what–two terms?
    Nah. Purely coincidence…..

  3. What other party leader would call a news conference to announce they were continuing as party leader?
I read this as Jr. is not yet ready to appoint her to his cabinet as he has lots of Liberals waiting; also a Senate seat is not quite ready just yet. She will have to persevere with the Greens for a while longer.

  4. Dear, dear…. May is wrong again.
It’s not politics that is awefull…… it’s her FACE.

  5. Other than her clinging to her taxpayer funded pension, for the most selfish reasons, I don’t mind her sticking around.
With her as the leader of the Greens, and the slavish devotion of the cat ladies, quilt clubbers, and the other granola munchers, Lizard will continue to leech precious votes away from the CommieDippers and the LIEberals.
That’s NOT a bad thing in the big scheme of things, provided we still have a FPTP election system. If not, the Greentards actually can become very dangerous

  6. Beside the big fat Taxpayer extorted pension Mao will receive I wonder what else PM Tards handlers promised the wretched beast… for now Mao will continue to run cover for the Tard, the payoff will come later.

  7. Did lizard actually have to run against a LPC or NDP candidate in either of the elections she won? I seem to recall her getting a pass from Layton/Dion. Maybe I’m wrong on that?
In any event she has about a year to go before she is eligible for a pension (I think you need 2 wins plus 6 years). After that the senate looms.

  8. Scar, thanks for that.
Perhaps the 2008 election was what I was recalling. The libranos tried to put in the fix and gave lizard a free pass hoping she could take out McKay. The bastards.
