12 Replies to “Millennial Boys Weaker Than Dads”

  1. This doesn’t surprise me.
I often see millennial men in my apartment’s gym. I’m old enough to be their grandfather and I can lift more than most of them without straining myself. Mind you, I’ve been lifting weights since before they were born, so that may help a bit.

  2. This confirms Clint Eastwood’s comment about the pussyfication of society.
These millennial men couldn’t even handle the recoil of a .44 magnum revolver.

  3. “that indicates something’s amiss.”
You do know that the thing which is a ‘miss’ is the poor boy who is the newest subject of social sciences experimentation.
It was previously determined that the sexes should be equal, and since it’s impossible to bring Missy up to junior’s standard,(it’s been tried, unsuccessfully) and all in all, socialism is about reducing the proles to the lowest denominator. So buddy-boy has to become a Miss.
Of course you already knew that, Captain Obvious./

  4. even the US marines have lowered some of their standards. of course a belief that there is such a thing as transgender is also having a negative effect. sitting around with a gaming control in their hands all day does not do much for muscle development. in general, a lack of physical activity is the problem.

  5. OWG, I was thinking the same about holding game controllers for hours on end and how they are contributing to an overall reduction in strength. Although, in my son’s case, his brain/hand/eye coordination are phenomenally faster than anything I can process. What he is able to see and do, I am even at times unable to comprehend what has just happened before my eyes.
I remember as a kid of 11 & 12 climbing rock cliffs freehand which were 75 feet. It was literally life or death if I was unable to hold on. Being a bit “large boned”, it was very hard for me to hold my body weight for very long with my hands and arms so the importance of grip strength obviously was a huge factor in my now being able to type this.

  6. Millennials are sissies. They were told in school that any sort of rough play is bad. They were told competition of any kind is bad, and that everyone is a “winner”.
They were told girls are superior to them in every single way (think I’m joking? my son’s left-wing kook teacher said exactly that to his class).
They were taught subjects in ways that are totally alien to the male brain.
They were told men are evil and are the cause of all the problems in the world because they are “aggressive” and “patriarchal”.
They are told that the most important thing they could do in their lives is cut their carbon footprint. My nephew who is now in university says he never wants to own a car – I mean heavens, what young man says that??!! It is beyond depressing.
They were fed distorted versions of history that fail to recognize anything good men have done, and instead portray men as useless.
History will show millennials to be the failed generation of men, with exceptions of course.

  7. Maybe they didn’t feel they should try their hardest because they might get injured or be overly competitive and become a racist.
Anyway, as a fitness type at 60 I have watched the decline in mens’ casual games, like the weekly ball hockey games at the gym.
Ten years ago I could easily get in three or four games a week. All but one are gone now due to lack of interest.
Even my remaining game has nights of four on four with no spares. Great workout, lots of soreness later, and tough on the old bod.
Common sense tells me kids aren’t nearly as active as I was, so generally as adults will have lower cardio/strength base than my generation.
We didn’t play on our devices, we were put out the door until lunch right after breakfast to bike, play sports, swim, but always something active.
I fondly remember day long biking trips with friends, taking along moms’ packed lunches.
Now that lack of activity leads to a lack of interest in fitness later in life I’m afraid. That’s my concern around my granddaughters.
Gone are the ad hoc street hockey games, playing ball or lacrosse (oops need a permit). Having said that lots of kids take fitness seriously, no all is not lost and things do have a way of compensating, so I’m optimistic about health outcomes going forward.

  8. A pussyfied mind in a pussyfied body
that is what the left wanted, that is what they got.
Now it is time to stop the left before there are no more men left to stop and reverse the damage done to males.

  9. When’s the last time you saw an ad where the wife/girlfriend was portrayed as a bumbling idiot? Didn’t think so. There’d be hell to pay if that ever occurred. Men have become pussies.

  10. One thing I’ve noticed is that millennials, on the whole, seem to avoid working up a sweat while exercising. It’s as if exerting oneself is something to be avoided as far as possible.
Whenever I go somewhere on my bike or I’m in the gym, I have to take a shower afterwards.

  11. I’ve been a mechanic all my life, so I have fairly strong hands. Many years ago, a friend and i were at my brother’s house and started seeing who could push the bathroom scale the highest, using just our grip strength; we broke it, had to by brother a new one.
My two sons however, are stronger. The eldest is a stern-man on a lobster boat, and the younger delivers and installs high-end appliances like Wolf ranges and Sub-Zero refrigerators. We are fighting the long decline up here in Maine…
