It’s unlikely that the media are going to en-masse recognize their bias, but perhaps if the Trump campaign has taught the media anything, it’s to ratchet down the rhetoric so that words mean something again.

Kind of why I have been wondering for decades; why bother wven showing up for a debate “moderated” by the CBC? Why keep going on CBC? Why keep taking questions from CBC reporters? They stopped pretending before I was even born, and I’ll be 44 this year. Why pretend to keep pretending when the curtain been down, the theater has been demolished, and people park cars where it used to be?
Trump has command presence. Takes control of any room he walks into. The us of a is already dead and if he can’t administer the defibrillator paddles nobody can. He is there because the rest of the welfare seeking bums such as Paul Ryan are content to manage the end of their country. If Hillary gets in its all over but the ammo production.
In summary, I believe anyone thinks reaching out to people who would never vote for you under any circumstance, means you are an idiot. I don’t bother showing up to support idiots.

Au contraire, the media not only recognize their bias, they firmly believe their leftist-progressive bias is their job, ie. to influence how people live their lives. They believe they are The Fourth Estate (or fourth power) as a societal and political force or institution to change the world. Most members of the media went to libArts schools and are progressives in their personal lives. Of course they’re proud of their bias.
This is why it’s so stupid when various republicans start acting as if they can get approval from the media, or preach about how things would have been so much different with a different candidate. Crap. Win or lose, Trump might just as well play it his way.
There is no media per se anymore. There is the mainstream opinion and advocacy industry that is an integral component of the institutional left and another (less popular) one that destroys principles by spouting nonsense like “fair and balanced”, presumably thinking a compromise or “middle ground” is something desirable rather than the surefire path to surrender.
Hillary is the new president …as a long time trump fan and still am…he is right the system is rigged what i mean is that the communist infiltrated the media, academia universities colleges ect ect and brain washed the last 2 generations who are now coming to bear fruit….enjoy the decline. We will be shot , beheaded in the streets with in 2-3 generations.
no one wants to fight anymore.
Glad you brought up that middle ground thing. I sometimes torture myself by having a look at certain media’s commentary sections. It’s quite amusing to read the contortions to which commenters will resort in asserting their delusion that they are neutral in their opinions, and don’t subscribe to any political partiality, all the while clearly offering up the usual prog/lib views.
libs are the enemy.. That’s all we need to know.. If something nasty happens, you know which side you are on.
BS. Hillary Clinton made Trump acceptable!
A Republican Congress that wouldn’t fight for the values that their constituents hold made Trump acceptable.
All Trump had to do was champion the issues that Republican voters expected congress to champion, and failed to fight for while opposing Trump, and Trump who is an elite, became the new champion of the Republican masses.
“…made Trump possible.”
Best thing about the article? That it conceded that Trump is, in fact, the proverbial wolf that’s cried about — that the various critiques currently levelled at Trump (demagogue, panderer, unstable, unqualified) are all on the mark, and that they’re ineffective in convincing Trump supporters to vote otherwise not because they’re untrue but merely that they’re over-used.
Gee you got that?
Thank you for sharing.
Next you will tell us that the Sun rises in the east.
The media has been dysfunctional for >20 years… They and only they claim Trump is dishonest…If you look at the media you will find that most trained as Lawyers (dishonest to the core).
The Donald needs to SLOW down (Southern) & “preface” every statement (Sesame Street style) such that the Media can’t deliberately “Short Circuit” the truth. “When I become President”( the preface)….. would have stopped George Stomp-on-his-plis (AKA as Bills Pimp). The way that Sheriff Clark handled CNN Don Lemon was Classic….The only thing he didn’t call Lemon was the N word, but it was close.
BIAS IS NOT THE PROBLEM..Dishonesty IS
Paul;
You nailed it.
Conservatives like to condemn progressives as the core reason why western societies are collapsing. There are many reasons but I believe one of them is an active communist effort to direct societies through influencing education and media.
This direction started long before the communist gained power in Russia. Communism had a strong international movement before 1900. Jack London was a popular speaker across America at communist meetings. Randolf Hurst spoke of the communist infiltration of his newspapers. Ronald Reagan took on the communist movement inside Hollywood as president of the Screen Actor Guild. Joe McCarthy was not a wacko even if he did overdo things at times.
Defecting KGB agents over the decades have repeatedly informed USA intelligence of the communist effort to influence western thinking. Why would the west ever think that effort would cease or change. These efforts are ongoing and cover many decades of work. Certainly as time passes they are more successful than could be hoped. This effort has considerable native support now and is unstoppable.
I wondered about the hateful criticism Romney had to put up with. On the left-right scale he was way to the left of the Crooked Clinton Clan. He was to Republicanism what Kim Campbell was to Canadian Conservatism. Name only, yet he was presented as Hitler’s peer.
