Sad day when Albertans have to look to Ontario for Sage conservative advice.
The only thing that will save Alberta is high oil prices, something that is unlikely to happen during Notley’s first term.
Hey, when you elect a progressive (communist)/enviro wackjob coalition what else would you expect…policy designed to foster resource development and jobs? The only jobs NDP, especially this bunch, are interested in would in the commissariat class.
You voted for it Alberta. So suck it up,buttercup. Me? I don’t give a f@@k. I am financially set up, so the province can go down. All you whining pukes here in AB? You get the commies you voted for. Darn farmers are stupid.so no big deal.
“Darn farmers are stupid.so no big deal.” Guess I am stupid, even if I am from Saskatchewan.
I doubt very much that any farmers other than traditional NDP supporters, which are few, voted for this bunch of Marxists thieves.
On the bright side, Alberta corporation TransCanada (not to be confused with one of the trans-gender organizations) “made good late Friday on its threat to challenge President Barack Obama’s rejection of the Keystone XL pipeline, filing a request for arbitration under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) to recoup US$15 billion in damages from the U.S. government”. http://business.financialpost.com/news/energy/transcanada-corp-moves-forward-with-keystone-xl-nafta-challenge?__lsa=c994-e9c4
One should always try to start off the week on a positive note.

Let it burn.
I used to know one of the former PC cabinet ministers back when we were both undergrads many years ago. He came from a small, socially conservative town located in a rural riding.
He had strong ties to that region. I believe he grew up there and his wife was from the local area. After he finished his degree, he returned and set up his business there. Several years later, he became its MLA.
He was the epitome of the local boy who made good. I find it hard to imagine that it was a majority of traditional NDP supporters who saw to it that he was booted from office.
I thought it quite amusing that many of the “young” voters in England felt betrayed by the “old” voters that voted Leave. Many are saying that there should be a limit on the age you can vote and that the age of voters should be lowered, after all, they have to live with the decisions longer. Oh the so wise youth of today, just like here in Alberta, the young voters got their way and got the free spending, naive, NDP party of their liking in power and when they are old and stupid they can look back on their so wise youth and pay the price.
Does anybody see parallels to Venezuela.
One would say that in Alberta it is in early stages, though the process is the same.
To the socialist diktat it’s all the same, everything else is collateral damage that must happen in the long decline to socialism.
How deep senora Notley?
No Ken. You aren’t stupid. I guess I should have clarified with the gumbas who started off with the CCF then went NDP. It was Redmonton that got NUTley and clowns elected.
The Brit-Exit means that the Environmental (EURO) has flat-lined…I am sure Germany will UP it’s commitment 100% to make up for the UK leaving(sarc)…The Club-Enviro has hit a ice-berg….How long can they hold their breath?
The Brits will be just fine, but the EU fallout is a huge monetary problem. What is the EURO exchange rate without England?..Risk factor?
The Alberta NDP socialists will have problems raising investment money. Alberta can’t print Money and borrowing (Bonds) will carry a hefty premium…Will the Federal Liberals follow the example of the US Democrats support for California’s insolvency, using federal money through back channels to keep them afloat.
A Trump win will spell disaster to California & Canadian Socialist foolishness
Ahem! I live in Red Rachel’s riding in Edmonton (I moved there long before she was NDP leader) and *I* never voted for her! In fact, I’ve always supported right-wing parties and have never cast a ballot for the NDP.
One reason I suspect that she got in was because of the riding’s proximity to the University of Alberta.

Drinking this morning?
68% of Alberta’s eligible voters did NOT vote for the NDP, of those that did it was overwhelmingly from the major urban centers of Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, Lethbridge, (Banff/ Canmore/ Cochran). – Justsay’n.
Repeat….68% still said NO to the NDP, and most Alberta farmers were among their ranks.

Partially true, the Progressive Liberalization to covet Alberta’s resources for UN globalization has been in full swing for decades now. The mass migration and forced Third World immigration on Alberta over the last 15 years is clear evidence of it.
If the general public cannot comprehend the open following of Ontario’s subservience to UN Agenda 21 mandates, then all is lost to an unelected European Central Government that dictates our laws and resource allocations.
This is what Brexit is supposed to teach us all.
Otherwise, the 31% NDP win was largely due to Conservative vote splitting between the Wild Rose Party, and the incumbent Progressive Conservatives. Those left leaning PC party members disenfranchised with their PC government drank the cool-aid and believed the propaganda calling the WRP “Racist”,”Homophobic” what have you and jumped ship to the NDP hard left.
There’s no mystery’s here.
The Alberta will have a Conservative government again – on the next election.
…….And no I was not indicating above that Canada is “yet” a member of the European Union, but we are a member of the corrupt United Nations. A globalized arm of the EU and it’s Progressive Elites, which lays out the foundations of hypocritical global regulations concerning “Humanitarianism” and “Environmentalism”. These fundamental foundations are later built upon with ever greater regulations and laws to suppress the sovereign citizens of western nations.
This is who our “Progressive” leaders swoon to emulate and please, from Justin Turdeau through Rachel Nutley, Allison Redfraud, Winning, Obamba, Clinton et al…………..
I’ve known many NDP’ers in my lifetime, and am always disappointed in their ideological view of how to run a Country or Province.
No matter how highly educated they are, and some I’ve known have Phd.’s or are lawyers, their idea of how the economy works is child like.
Their mantra; if you need money for something, simply raise taxes, preferably on business. And if you need MORE money, enact another type of tax. The dippers believe their is a bottomless pit full of money out there for them to tap into. They also have no fear of debt or deficits.
At the same time they yak on and on about social justice, living wages, poverty lines, dignity, victims, etc., etc.,all the Marxist buzzwords, without any idea of how it all works.
And if I hear another word about “green jobs”,I may hurl breakfast.Nowhere on this planet have green jobs worked out to replace the jobs they displaced in other energy sectors.
Those f***ing windmills create no jobs past their manufacture and installation, a computer hooked up to sensors warns the power company when there’s a problem, and they send out the repair crew, not quite like a thousand coal miners or oil and gas workers going 40 hours a week.
Once again, another Canadian Province has put the kids in charge of the company, mostly because they were pi**ed off at the other Party. A good percentage of our anger should be directed toward the Parties whose greed and ineptitude caused the despair that saw voters seek revenge the only way we can.
If old fashioned necktie parties were still in fashion, there’d be a lot of “strange fruit” dangling from trees in this Country.
Politicians prayer:”thank you lordallahgaia for civilization”.
Notley is merely catching up to Ontario in terms of monkey-see-monkey-do progressivism and in fact what she will have accomplished in her first year and a half would have taken the conservative Progressives at least 4 or 5 years. Until academia is either shut-down , privatized or completely outsourced to the internet, this is the cultural direction (disintegration) of our now suicidal society.
I’ve dealt with my share of leftists as well. Much of the rhetoric one hears from them today was commonplace when the love beads and flowers bunch was more popular nearly 50 years ago.
The left believes that the “green” economy will emerge if the existing power utility system was instantly shut down. Society as we know it will come grinding to a halt, which, of course, is one of its objectives, as is the ensuing chaos.
The kiddie leftists today aren’t any brighter than the ones I knew in high school.
The problem with socialists is they actually believe the BS they peddle to the voters.
They should take a lesson from Jean Chretien – he peddled BS too, but once elected, seldom acted on it.
Exactly as planned.
Creating dependent voters who can be threatened at election time requires these policies.
She will be re-elected.
Red Rachel’s re-election as premier is what I’m afraid of.
It seems that the PCs, particularly the red Tories, are determined to split the right once again and prevent the Wild Rose from making any significant gains at the polls. The PCs have already turned down the proposal that they merge with WR to form a right-wing opposition party. (Memories of how it failed the last time it was tried, perhaps?)
The NDP are determined to hold onto Edmonton. If they lose the city, they’ll lose the next election.
Dirtman
As I see it there is a distinction
“BS” is when you’re being fed a line that the pedlar doesn’t personally believe
“Real BS” is when you’re being fed a line that the pedlar does personally believe
“sigh”….how do you know a socialist cum commie politician is lying? They are breathing. I don’t give a rodents butt, however AB is so fubared and the big city younguns still don’t realize it. But they will!
Some, I’m sure welcomed it as they were brainwashed by the educational system and the likes of Farcebook into believing that capitalism is evil because it doesn’t give out free stuff.
Those who didn’t were brainwashed by the same into not being aware of what’s going on.
Remember, this is a generation that don’t know what the Statute of Westminster is and its significance for Canada, and consider that an achievement to be proud of.
No matter how you look at it, Alberta voted for Red Rachael and her roost.
”Everything happens for a reason. But sometimes, the reasons is that you’re stupid and made a bad decision.” (Seen on Pinterest.)
So get over it.
