Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

“An appeal panel ruled against the GFO on April 20 saying it did not have the power to change the regulations as the GFO “has not identified a genuine dispute about the farmers’ rights and obligations,” even if the regulations create financial hardship, are futile and provide little environmental benefit.”
Pretty mind-boggling that despite the known yield and financial benefits of using neonics – meaning better fed people at lower costs, we’ll just ignore that and tie your hands anyway.
Forty years of progressive control of our education system leads me to despair for my country.
Saying the Liberals are short on science would be the understatement of the decade.
Governing based on their totalitarian and pagan ideology leaves no room for scientific method, nor critical thought.
Ontario’s farmers will need to be highly organized and fight as tirelessly for their survival as if facing drought or pestilence.
In this case political pestilence.
Neonics? WTF? Even my spell-checker doesn’t recognize the wurd/term.
What is the Left’s most successful method for moving the goal posts? Invent new terminology and PRETEND that it has some legitimacy.
(who legitimizes it? Leftists and their Sycophants on the Right who want to pretend they’re reasonable, that’s who)
Let me make it simple: the Wurld ran just fine, as if it was on greased rails and Progress was “No Problemo’ until the Left wanted to assume the Driver’s Seat, and then ‘Problems’ were invented out of, well not invented, PULLED Out of the Left’s ASS(because they are problem causers) and the Left creates problems out of THIN AIR so that the Left poses as problem solvers, while the TRUTH is that the Left are the Problem Makers.
(Leftist schtick is the same as Arsonists pretending to be the Fire Fighters)
Note to Thinking People: Just because Anyone invents a new name for an idea, doesn’t mean the IDEA they invented a name for means Diddly Squat.
Neonics? KMA
Pffft, they should just accept it. Bigger hills, better deaths.
Oh? Too soon?
Step 1on the road to rising food prices, which is going to know a lot of leftie numbskulls off the face. The ones it doesn’t, we leave to the paramilitaries….
when do we just start saying no to these government idiots?
Ontario is awash in debt but still has lots of cash to spend on TV ads. The latest being scary old Suzuki scaring the bejezzus out of young school kids about catastrophic environmental changes if we don’t heed his preaching.
Ontario is being royally screwed by Madam Wynne at every turn, we’re being taxed out of existence and Toronto elite will still support the bastards. Again to quote Kate, “we need a famine”.
The ad, which will soon be broadcast around the province, is designed to highlight Premier Kathleen Wynne’s new cap-and-trade system, which puts a price on carbon.
That will make gasoline 4.3 cents a liter more expensive starting next year and an average of $5 more for monthly natural gas bills.
It will also usher in incentives to conserve energy bankrolled by the additional $1.9 billion a year the treasury will take in as Ontario, Quebec, and California get their joint cap-and-trade program up and running.

Who needs wheat ?
Ontario will have plenty of oil to eat..
“We have to live with the regulation the way it is.”
Yup, words of surrender. But Wynne knew this, just like The Dildo knew it before her. Given the history of farm organizations in this province, it was a forgone conclusion.
They could have – and should have- plugged Toronto up tight with tractors, but they would rather suck around for funding and be a cheerleader for the latest green initiative. GFO, OFA, NFU, CFFO, etc., there’s no difference.
All this poppycock againast Fracking at Fossil fuels all part of the plans of the watermellons(Green outside red inside)to revert us all back to a primative way of living Mindless little snowflakes their heads full of mindless mush from Hollywood
The bee is GONE! The honey nut Cheerios bee, GONE. Right off the box. We just gotta save the bees don’t we? More brainwashing of our children. There’s so many bees near my house it’s not the neonicotinoids killing them. It’s me.
Of course food is going to get more expensive – there are 7.3 billion mouths open every day screaming to be fed.
Ag is maxed out in its present form. It cannot produce any more food within the present system without thinking outside the box.
The population continues to rise exponentially. How do you think food production is going to keep up?
Just lie back and enjoy your rape. Rape by teams of unelected bureaucrats pounding away at your docile body. They are all orgasming with power, while you TAKE IT. Isn’t Socialism wonderful !?
Commissar Wynne has enormous difficulty grasping the reality of modern agriculture in Canada. Alternately she views rural Ont as an idyllic theme park, where peasants bring their apples and vegetables to farmers markets, or a place to stack industrial wind turbines far removed away from urban sensibilities. Even though at one point she appointed herself as Agr Minister, an insult to all Ont farmers, she remains unaware of corn, soybean,or beef and pork production. Her carbon schemes and increased electricity rates will have direct impact on retail food prices. The farming sector is wholly dependent on petroleum fuels, as is the delivery system to urban supermarkets. The Ont Milk marketing board even has the power to set prices through the CDC, based on a cost formula in which electrical rates figure prominently. All this should be obvious to anyone, but to a green zealot who thinks food is grown in the supermarket, it is not. How many more years does she have left, or will GTA simply vote in another Liberal successor? I wouldn’t bet against it.
Great comments above! All based on earth muffin science.
This is all about the long range progressive plan to kill 6 of the 7 billion people on earth. Gia insists they do this.
“The population continues to rise exponentially. How do you think food production is going to keep up?”
War. Obviously.
As to the regulations, Ontario is on a tear right now. The Wynners are making up all kinds of genius ideas to “help” people out in the countryside.
Latest is the water delivery regulation. Unbeknownst to townies everywhere, water does not come out of a pipe on the front lawn. If you live outside of town, water gets DELIVERED. Well, it seems some bright spark somewhere in the vast mill of government has identified water haulers as new place to extend regulation.
After the Walkerton e-coli plague, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walkerton,_Ontario the government was all focused on water quality. The water didn’t improve since the report on Walkerton came out in 2002, but it does cost a lot more every year. Now the truckers have been hit with new regs. Some of which were clearly taken from a book of regulations written in California, where nothing ever freezes. Because here in Ontario, you can’t cap a water hose for transport in the winter. And you can’t put a screen on an exposed tank breather tube. Because water freezes.
But, and this is the important point, it does not matter to the regulators that water freezes. They keep coming back to the same things. Drivers will comply. The end.
So one of two things will happen. Either the regulators will finally be made to understand that water freezes in winter, or, and this is much more likely, there will be no water deliveries when its cold.
The Mark Steyn rule (more or less):
“Don’t organize now to wait for the chance to elect the right person to do the right thing.
Organize now to make the wrong person in power right now do the right thing.”
“Organize now to make the wrong person in power right now do the right thing.”
Yessiree Sarge! But that’s a message that Rural Canadians, who are bearing the brunt of all this enviro-shit, just don’t want to hear. Because organizing would take effort, and guts, and commitment.
Much easier to moan and groan and piss and whine and type away, instead of taking action.
By their steadfast refusal to get up off their arse and get angry, every large C Conservative in Ontario – is as much to blame for the rotten state of affairs as every Liberal and InDeeper.
I have no time for able-bodied people who pretend that marking an X on a ballot every four years is sufficient effort to keep governments in check.
We need recall legislation to kick in any time we elect a majority government. If ever there was such legislation needed it’s right now in Ontario….soon to be Federally as well if the Trudeau Cabal continue to ignore the people on legislation that affects how we vote. Arrogance has to be put down.
Actually, the rate of human growth has been geometric, not exponential. Exponential growth would have capped out the planet’s capacity for humans (even by modern standards) tens of thousands of years ago.
And more recently, population growth worldwide has been drastically declining. Oh there are places where population is still growing, of course – mostly in third world areas – but don’t fall into the liberal’s trap of ‘because population has historically increased at a certain rate, it will continue to do so indefinitely’.
The population increase of the last several centuries is largely due to human progress and our expanded ability to support additional humans. As regressives (I refuse to call them by their chosen label) steadily crush the life out of the advances that made this possible, the population will begin leveling off.
The two other notable factors are modern birth control and natural selection. By natural selection, I’m referring to generational shifts in fertility. Until less than a century ago, it was (on average) necessary for a couple to be fertile enough to produce several children in order to see perhaps two or three reach adulthood. With the very rapid decrease in infant mortality thanks to modern medicine, this is no longer true, and – as natural selection dictates – we’ve seen a gradual, corresponding drop in average fertility rates.
Of course, once the socialists get control and we become another Venezuela, we’ll see a massive drop in population, but I suppose that’s another issue.
“We need recall legislation to kick in any time we elect a majority government. ”
Well Liz J, here’s the sad story about BC’s recall legislation which was enacted way back in 1995…you can read the results in the right-hand column: 26 recalls – 26 failures.
http://www.elections.bc.ca/docs/rcl/Summary-of-Recall-Petitions.pdf
What we need is a population with some guts – that’s what we need.
Recall legislation would have to be approved by a majority government, and no such an entity would consider it when in power. The direction Liberals in Ont and Ottawa are now headed is the opposite of such democratic notions.
Remember the recent McGuinty-Wynne minority regime. Under the Legislature rules no non-confidence motion could even be debated without the approval of the Liberal House Leader. The PCs had a motion drafted but could not get it before the legislature. The Liberals engineered their defeat when it was to their advantage (obviously).
Such arcane rules persist in Ont and are unlike anything in the the federal Parliament. The rules overwhelmingly favour the government executive whether in a minority or majority position.
“We have to live with regulation the way it is”
Sounds a lot like the modern Conservative party. I wish it didn’t, but hey. We need someone to stop the socialists.
How much worse than Ontario under the present regime could communism be? We have legislation to decide everything a normal free society should allow and taxed to poverty. What’s left, we can’t even buy cheap booze to drown our misery.
Wynne: I’m so distracted by your petty grumbling about my neonicotinoid regulations that I can’t seem to find the time to increase the taxpayer-subsidies for your Risk Management Insurance. Pity
GFO: Grumbling? Who’s grumbling anymore? Not me!
