Looking at data from 56 large cities across the country, Rosenfeld found a 17% increase in homicide in 2015. Much of that increase came from only 10 cities, which saw an average 33% increase in homicide.
“These aren’t flukes or blips, this is a real increase,” he said. “It was worrisome. We need to figure out why it happened.”
All 10 cities that saw sudden increases in homicide had large African American populations, he said. While it’s not clear what drove the increases, he said, he believes there is some connection between high-profile protests over police killings of unarmed black men, a further breakdown in black citizens’ trust of the police, and an increase in community violence.

Rather than blaming “a further breakdown in black citizens’ trust of the police” and allowing the thugs to still be portrayed as victims, how about the simple explanation that when you tell people that they are entitled to act out in negative ways because they are so oppressed and hard done by,(i.e.”special”)they will act out in negative ways. I’m looking forward to the continued breakdown of civil order in alot of American cities this summer. These cities, after all, are where American progs concentrate themselves. They all vote Democrat. Exactly!! The urban centers are going to implode and a lot of the progs who started this insanity will be caught up in it. There were nine dead in Chicago this weekend. 232 so far this year. Ninety two in Baltimore so far this year. And most of them were black, because we all know Black Lives Matter.

No, the progs that started all of this will NOT get caught up in it. These caviar-socialists will live in their walled communities in suburbia, with green spaces, faux-solar energy panels and a well staffed security and police forces to maintain order and an ongoing revenue stream for minor transgressions (which also serve to maintain order and civility).
They won’t be touched by the violence at all … and will blame everyone except themselves for the mess in the inner cities.
