I wonder if U.S. Virgin Islands Attorney General Claude Walker, or California Attorney General Kamala Harris, or New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman have read this federal statute. Because what they’re doing looks like a concerted scheme to restrict the First Amendment free speech rights of people they don’t agree with. They should look up 18 U.S.C. Sec. 241, I am sure they each have it somewhere in their offices.
Sounds like the global warming advocates want to have their own version of the Spanish Inqusition but in this case they want all global warming/climate change skeptics tired for Treason against Gaia and Treason against the Earth and its inhabitents and called Heritics by the Granola Munchers/Tree Huggers/Gaia Worshippers and just like Sheldon Whitehouse(D-RI)all global warming skeptics must be silenced
Ah, but in the modern world rights are now “rights” and subject to the whims of politicians and government officials. Surely, exceptions can be made to some stupid old document written by dead, white, colonial men. Then pick and choose which new crime(s) your opponents in the public realm are guilty of. Opposing an EPA ruling about CAGW would certainly warrant such harassment.
If free speech and free association about a major political topic makes people question government officials then RICO threats against scientists, audits by the IRS and SEC, confiscation of donor lists by AGs should remind them who is the boss. If that’s not enough then I’m sure that asset forfeiture, where property rights and presumption of innocence can be ignored, should certainly get the point across.
Frankly, CEI is lucky that they’re not being visited by SWAT teams in the middle of the night and dragged off to jail like the guy who made a video that caused riots in the Middle East. /s
