  1. Meanwhile the pro-dark-ages activists continue to get airtime without any hint of challenge from the “journalists” who interview them.

  2. Well then why did she, immediately upon being elected, import from out-of-province the most fanatical anti-pipeine and anti-tar sands activists that could be found, and use them to staff the Alberta public service top level positions? Oh that’s right, standard procedure, she lies like a rug while the civil servants do the dirty work…

  3. The strange thing is that it is the NDP and its supporters that were largely behind the anti-oilsands, anti-pipeline nonsense that has been going on in Canada for a number of years now. Those who say that Alberta’s problems cannot be pinned on the NDP are WRONG. They most certainly can.

  4. Is she getting an immunity to botox? Girl needs work!
So as Alberta was diving into recession Red Rachel increased corporate income tax and threatened increased royalties. Does she wonder why this is the worst downturn in Alberta history?

  5. Lying hypocrite! Maybe she should talk to Kommissar Naomi Klein and First Secretary Tom Mulcair.

  6. Still, even if she has suddenly just been converted, she is absolutely correct.
Pipelines and tankers are the only meaningful infrastructure projects for our country.
Not that I hold out any hope at all that the Children’s Crusade now running things in Ottawa might come to terms with that.
But enough of these frowny-face thoughts!
    More gumdrops and rainbows, anyone?

  7. Haven’t heard that expression in about a half century. Maritime origin I think. Gave me a smile.

  8. You gotta wonder how those words tasted coming out of her mouth. Great analytical piece in Maclean’s on how she’s been forced to get on the opposite side of the table from Mulcair. It could even be argued that Brian Jean has played things rather masterfully. While you’re at it, check out the revamped iPolitics.ca website. It’s still a bit of a lefty echo chamber, but it’s a great place to add informed commentary (commenting via Disqus, which is a plus) and watch the usual suspects devolve into calling anyone with a conservative mindset a doodypants, which is about as far as most of them can get when faced with facts.

  9. “Is she getting an immunity to botox? Girl needs work!”
Actually I considered Notley to be rather attractive at one time but now she appears to be putting on the miles. This is probably due to the fact that most Albertans dislike her and she knows it but is too mired in NDP ideology to change. The stress must be enormous what with toeing the socialist line as opposed to doing what’s best for the province. When oil prices improve and the Alberta economy starts to recover, Notley will undoubtedly be motivated to tinker and meddle in areas where government should really stay away from and thus, thankfully rendering her a one term premier.

  10. That’s an old joke I first heard back in the 70s…
Question: “What’s the four most commonly used words in Newfoundland?”
    Answer: “Whale, oil, beef, hooked.”

  11. Ms. Notley discovers Alberta – surprise, surprise … Investment money has left the province and will not return until the NDP are voted out. The economy will take 10 years to get back to 2014. Congratulations to you all!!!

  12. There was also lots of noise about the resignation of the Alberta Health Services President and CEO, Vicki Kaminski. Of course, the NDP apologist by the name of Post Media’s Don Braid, said essentially that the interference by the NDP in the file was correct because Nenshi said the moving of part of the 911 dispatch to AHS was wrong….and bla bla bla. But he glossed completely over the biggest (BY FAR) issues where the NDP should absolutely be nailed to the wall. Kaminski claimed that the NDP had interfered in the public sector union negotiations and that they also would not create a paper trail of meetings, chosing to do so instead verbally so they could cover their tracks. Both of those allegations need to be investigated as they are BOTH breaches of trust worth of the government resigning if they are proven true. The NDP is joined at the hip with AUPE and it is an utter disgrace and a criminal breach of the fiduciary duty of the government.

  13. MR fish
    MR no fish
    MR so fish
    CD ED BD iiii
    whale oil beef hooked
    MR so fish
(/Newf) is how I learned it.

  14. So Notley and company have figured out when you have a product you can’t get to market it affects your economy. How impressive! Now if only someone could ask them what took them so long? Why did they have to go to the brink of disaster before a light went on?

  15. Apologies, I forgot to translate for the Newfie impaired:
    ‘Em are fish.
    ‘Em are no’ fish.
‘Em are so fish, See dee (the) eetty (itty) beady (bitty) I’s (eyes).
(nope, not going there, guess for yourself)
    ‘Em are so fish.

  16. I heard of a meet and greet between Havenotely and a bunch of CEOs. Havenotely was told rather bluntly that there will be NO investment in Alberta by those CEOs and their companies until Havenotely is the former premier of Alberta.

  17. If knowledge were food, the media people would starve. These pathetic excuses for reporters are always last to the table to know a damn thing. They leave unchallenged idiots like Notley Nenshi Justy etc about the fact that a diversified economy away from oil and coal and into wind and solar will need what, to lubricate the many moving parts in those bird blenders, and what will charge up your pixiemobile, unicorns on treadmills, these people are evil, not crazy, but ideologically stupified, this is all about de-industrialization just like Dr. Mo Evil wanted. This clown can pay all the lip service to the oil industry she wants but she hates success like all lefties and NDPeers, they love misery and lazyiness and anyone whose had success must be taxed into submission.

  18. “Girl needs work!”
Yep. Someone must be lacing her tofu with testosterone. Startin’ to look like Lee Marvin.

  19. This is a fan dance. She has just realized that she is naked and needs a wardrobe to get re-elected and is playing fast-and-loose. She doesn’t mean it and when the pipelines are not built, she will cry in public and party in private.

  20. I will believe her 3 and 1/2 years after she kills the carbon tax.
Does anyone believe a word she udders? Not

  21. The odds, after WALL’s victory & a possible Trump win, favor the Keystone…Full stop…She just wants to be onside rather than a has-been outcast. The cabal blocking a pipeline by ONT & Que will need to negotiate a national price with Sask & Alberta in 2017

  22. With an attaché case filled with US $100 bills, and an offshore account, I’d have her singing Dixie in an hour!

  23. The really frightening thing here.
She may not know she is lying.
The Progressive mind, being so open all facts fall out.
I am sure she feels that she is emoting correctly, convincingly and that the “little people” will believe her.

  24. The Progressive HRCs have already made it plain that “truth is not a defense” which can only be interpreted to mean that the narrative prevails. Hence, as long as Notely remains within the narrative she is not lying and since it is the Progressive politicians who construct the narrative she never lies. At least that’s the way I see it.

  25. Wow – we need pipelines – you can’t get anything by her- what a mental midget !

  26. As Pogo would have said:”If brains was shoes, she’d be barefooted all the way to her knees!”.
