  1. I should pretend to be surprised?
The back room boys must be rewarded,10 years away from the trough, Liberals are starving.
Their lust for other peoples money can never be sated, but 30 billion borrowed against great grandchildren’s income will be a good start..
Those easily gulled, are this way because they want to be.
They want to believe, this need overrides the evidence of their eyes, ears and nose.
So the band of old bandits, shielded by a pretty frontman, give eastern voters what they desire.
    Gull them good..
Yet Bernie Madoff is a criminal?

  2. What is to be expected from a PM who knows nothing whatever of economics (budget will balance itself), guided by an advisor who presided over Ont’s fiscal affairs under McGunty-Wynne. Canada isn’t at the recession stage yet, but Liberals have embarked on a massive stimulus spending spree. What will the deficit look like when an economic downturn arrives? Yes elections do have consequences.

  3. Remember to never hire an ex-politician as your “investment broker”
Politicians have no clue what investments are, but they abuse the word at every chance.
No matter what those sycophants say, government SPENDING is an EXPENDITURE.
INVESTMENTS have, or project to have, a financial rate of return, and RISK, as well.
All the Fiberals are doing is screwing our kids and our future grandchildren (for those of us not quite there yet). My disgust is palpable with these vile, lying, irresponsible ucktards of the Fiberal party, led by Chief Sunni Daze Selfie Care Bear

  4. I was called all sorts of names for daring to point out that Trudeau promising to run deficits would inevitably result in higher deficits than promised because liberals lie. I’m not usually that guy but I think a bunch of “I told you so”s are in order.
After I do that, I think I’m going to just enjoy the decline (thanks, Cappy), as too many of my countrymen are blind and forgetful, and at this point it’s either laugh or cry.

  5. I am kinda having a bit of a last laugh regarding future debt and impoverishment courtesy of the liberal crime organization.
I didn’t bother to have kids. So not only will my descendants not be there to bear the burden, but I didn’t have to raise them and be disappointed and broke because of raising ingrate children who I would like have nothing but genetics in common with. I see that in many who I know that did bother to get into that quagmire called the modern family.

  6. Colour me surprised, NOT! I’m preaching to the choir, I know, but 39% of Canadians are so stupid, as Ms May once said, that they make a bag of hockey pucks look smart. To qualify for this percentile, or is that decibel(?) I forget, you thoroughly believe that the governing party of Canada is going to control the weather (AKA Mother Nature) by introducing a carbon tax when they can’t even control the monetary system. You also qualify if you believe that the incoming horde of refugees sponsored by The Party are going to assimilate/integrate, just like the First Nations did! The Harper government tried to institute a modicum of responsibility with the Accountability Act in an effort to integrate the FN. Trudeau renegade on this, so using the same logic with the “new immigrants” we can expect to see Sharia law in major population centers in Canada before the Liberal 1st. term of office is over. Rather than ‘Sunny Days’ I see nothing but black thunder clouds blossoming over this country.

  7. So the dumbass Liberal voters of Canada ended up voting for Harpers policies, by tricking into voting for “nice” hair. Ha ha ha.

  8. Crafty, how they insert all the costs of “their” campaign promise of bringing in 25,000 migrates(and likely other spending as well) under Harper’s budget last budget, making appear that it’s Harper’s deficit!
Liberals lie! and they especially lie about taxes, money and spending.
I’m very close to retirement, so my concerns will move from paying income tax to capital gains taxes and estate taxes.
So now to all those young fools that voted for this pretty boy, who told you up front, that he would take this country back into deep debit,,,,, YOU EFFING PAY FOR IT!
I guess as long as he’s in the gay pride parade, that’s all that counts in their minds, he seems so comfortable there, and fits in so well.
SDA readers, be constant and relentless in reminding the young and the liberal, that they voted for this, they voted for more debit, by voting for trudeau, they have volunteered to pay for this debit, if they want “corporations” to pay for it,,,then there’ll be even fewer jobs for them. Remind them that they were duped by a pretty face and slick advertising, but they were especially duped by the media and perhaps the greatest manipulation, social media! Social media is contrived, and one person can send out tweets making it appear that hundreds of people think the same way.
Young people need to “feel the burn” of liberalism!

  9. I’m shocked, SHOCKED! I say. All this even before the HARPER stickers have worn off the stop signs throughout the country. Where can someone get some TRUDEAU stickers, I am wondering.
And a sincere thank you too our covering media – all of them. Hmmm – I wonder why the papers are closing on a daily basis.

  10. In a nation where political fate rests on the offerings of shinny objects to the mushy middle of the spectrum, the shinny hair of the Spawn is all that maters. He can complete his father’s mission and destroy the nation and given enough time , will, but the walking dead of the institutional left are solely responsible.

  11. I am old enough to enjoy my Canada Pension – the young minds full of mush will never retire and never have a middle class lifestyle. This is not going to be my problem – lol Congratulations to you all!!!

  12. So Harper was able to balance the budget (much to the media/Libs chagrin and surprise) with falling oil prices, and was committed to balanced budgets moving forward. I see no reason not to believe he would not have delivered on that promise. Oil was about 40-45 bucks a barrel when the election was held. Most of the price drop had already occurred. So its down another 10-12 bucks.
Is that the reason the Libs are going to use for this massive deficit – and it will be larger than what has been announced as should be obvious.
When Trudeau was elected my prediction was 300 Billion more debt by the time he was done.
It costs alot to socially re-engineer a nation as Trudeau #1 and Obama have demonstrated.

  13. My contention up till now that when its revealed this government will not meet a goal that justin in his words said he was ready to implement right now was that he was likely clueless to the amount of actual work or sacrifice needed to make said promise come to fruition on the timeline he set for himself.
In this case I’ll contend the little pretender was telling a bold face lie about the deficit he intended to create.
Now I know that SDA readers are not surprised by this “news” but here’s the part that folks that will never vote liberal might not have considered.
Liberals knew he was lying. They knew and they could care less about deficits, matter of fact they are convinced there are a bunch of greedy capitalists that have been hording billions of dollars that where obtained “unfairly” that if they just pay their fairshare all the deficits would go away over night. Justin could have said he was going to run a 100 billion dollar deficit and get away with it because he talked the talk of the hard left that some un named and unknown “1%” was not paying their fairshare.
The trick at this point isn’t trying to convince the trudeau-liberals they are driving the country over the fiscal cliff, the trick is to make sure they own it.
That at the end of the day they have to get exactly what they asked for and know that its not working the way they thought it would.

  14. ‘as too many of my countrymen are blind and forgetful’
They’re not my countrymen, they’re bloody traitors who will destroy this country. F*ck all of them who voted for these p.o.s. liberals.

  15. Since the election;
The media has gone almost silent on federal politics. Watch CBC and CTV news channels and all you get is Weather, sports, culture and crap. Like predicted, the MSM has hit the snooze button and will do so for the next 3 1/2 years when it’s time once again for them to come and protect their princess Justine.
I truly hope Trump takes the Whitehouse…In 3 years from now when our debt is sky high, our dollar at 50 cents US, no jobs and the country falling apart with threats of breakups then maybe a figure like Kevin O’Leary will appear.
Like Kate says: “We need a famine”. The suffering is not bad enough yet.
BTW, This is the second day in a row, The Drudge Report has a link to Canadian affairs. Yesterday, it had a CBC link of a poll showing a “majority Canadians do not believe in global warming” which funnily was “corrected” by the CBC later in the afternoon… Me thinks Matt Drudge knows he has a fair chunk of his readers north of the border.
KEEP AN EYE ON OUR OWN OBAMA NORTH, MATT! Trudeau is a Soros puppet too. A UN Globalist elite POS.

  16. I don’t think there is a Liberal supporter out there who cares one fiddle that the deficit promises are being broken.

  17. But Harper was so *mean*, wasn’t he?
Believe it or not, that’s the reason an e-mail acquaintance gave me for his voting for Justin “Cranial Vacuum” Trudeau. The odd thing is that he’s nearly my age…..and I’m 60.

  18. We must give the Liberals credit. Most of the headlines are for 18 billion deficit. We know for sure it is already at least 28billion and an easy bet to win would be it is growing and will far exceed that. The gullible are focused on the first figure. They certianlyknowhow to spin the narrative . It’s probably nothing !

  19. To turn a surplus into a deficit takes an idiot. To turn a surplus into a deficit without even keeping costly promises takes a Leiberal.
Voters of Canada, you have made your bed now sleep in it. My only regret is you are dragging me down the drain with you.

  20. Just like his old man. That friggin apple didn’t fall far from the tree… or move far from the trough. Did I mention that I hate Liberals.

  21. This is what you get when an election is based on anybody but Harper. I think we can agree, on economic knowledge and overall smarts, Trudeau is nothing like Harper. These fools (def’n repeating past failure, sure of future success) and the rest of the country will find out what happens when government rolls the dice on the economy. They come up snake eyes: millennials get future tax increases, while loss of confidence, given the surety Grits have lost control of spending, dries up capital formation & innovation, at the very least cancelling out the miniscule economic bump from statist largesse.
IOW government by the most glaring example of economic failure – Wynneland, home of highest non sovereign debt in the world. Incompetent and corrupt as it turns out. Remember though, Harper had to go, so it’s worth it eh, you sick puppies. Keep that in mind when you (and we) start paying the shiny new federal carbon tax, along with price increases passed along by higher taxation of the rich, I mean corporations, I mean – squirrel!
Sorry, the last part was a comment about our wonderful media, currently circling the bowl; the only good news today.

  22. All Justin needed to know, he learned from Obama. Promise the people millions of “shovel-ready” jobs, at a cost of a few more billion in deficit spending. Then give ALL the money to state, local, and federal, government agencies to keep them afloat. Hell ! Even promise to give the citizens a website to ensure transparency of HOW the money is spent … and then just wait till they are so bored with it all that they go back to debating whether Bey’s bottom is large-enough to attract an African natives attention. In reality, you never account for how 90% of the money is spent. Then, tell them that 1% growth is … “the new normal”. Then tell the people that Canada needs to give 11 million illegal immigrants permanent citizenship to help your richest corporation keep a handle on personnel costs. Tell the Canadian people that they are xenophobic … if they don’t agree to train new Hindu and Muzlim employees how to do YOUR (former) job.
Justin has already read Obama’s Cliff Notes on how to ignore the dumb-ass masses and (so-called) conservative opposition

  23. As Al in Cranbrook has stated in an earlier thread, Keynesian economics is wonderful and it works!
Not quite sure how it does, but the Harvard grads in places of power and influence all seem to believe it does, the likes of Nenshi, Redford, Ignatief, Bernanke counted amongst a plethora of those who believe that borrowing extravagant amounts of “money” for infrastructure loans which will “some day” be paid back. Justin has not come to the realization that we are still paying for those very projects which his deceased father said were such a good thing to invest in.
Hows that plan working out for ya all?
    Debt is good, they say!

  24. Chris:
The apple falls not far from his mother’s tree to be more precise.Trudeau Sr was not exactly stupid, he just had no interest, or patience with fiscal management. With his own money he was notoriously stingy, other people’s money he just didn’t give a dam.
Jr likewise has no interest in economics, but he is arguably the dimmest witted PM ever serve in Canada.
    (The budget will balance itself).
But sunny ways and good hair go a long way these days.

  25. What the idiot Justin does not realize is that his children too will be under the stress of sharia law. With his penchant for buying votes from immigrants we are all in trouble.

  26. Looks like this is the beginning of returning to the bad old days.
Trudeau is bankrupting my retirement and my daughter’s future with this type of spending. Considering how much money he has given away prior to this pre-budget update, about 5 or 6 billion, it is an absolute lack of respect to all Canadians.
Things will not be better in 4 years time. Imagine the bulk of the spending is not actually creating anything at all. He will only increase the cost of government to such a huge amount it will be very hard to manage afterward.
Also our currency will tank. We should start calling it the Trudeau Peso instead of the Loonie.

  27. “The media has gone almost silent on federal politics.” Yes. And this is clearly deliberate. In my view the Rebel story about where the “refugees” were coming from (not the camps) is highly news worthy — but alas, does not fit the liberal/MSM narrative. Contrast this hiding of a cynical ploy to save face to the venom with which they went after every last trivial misstep of the Harper government. How many weeks did we spend talking about orange juice — or about the green projects money NOT given to Jaffer. There was even a committee devoted to that. Does anyone in the media recognize the duplicity in their ranks? The other thing I remember quite vividly is that whenever they were reluctantly forced to acknowledge something positive done by the Harper government there was a disclaimer (code for other members of the media party): “I’m no Harper supporter, but . . .” It was nearly always there. I think we will wait forever to see a similar disclaimer related to the Liberal government. I too am not sorry to see the dishonest media struggling. Why would people continue to support them when they are not doing their jobs?

  28. Are you quite sure that junior doesn’t know his children will be under sharia law? Are not sharia countries exceedingly generous to hereditary rulers?
Immigrants usually have the good grace to adapt to the social norms of their new country. Invaders demand that their new country adapt to them! You are Quite Right in saying we are all in trouble… all those of us who are not Muslims that is.

  29. Like father, like son. His dad ran up $40 billion deficits and the national debt. Inflation reached 20+%. Interest rates climbed in tandem. We had an enormous recession. The NEP was used to rip off Western Canada and subsidize Liberal ridings in the East. And when questioned about it all, PE Trudeau gave us all the middle finger.
No surprise his son is just as arrogant. But I still think the father had smarts and the son has that most modern quality — Superficial Intelligence.

  30. Believe it or not Lighthouse played at my high school in early 70’s. That’s showing my age but they were very good years indeed.

  31. On several forums I’ve summed it up by saying ,Not this tax return but when you’re doing you’re 2016 taxes, you’re really going to get what you voted for,and GOOD…..Most unfortunately I get it good and hard too 🙁

  32. I am freaking sick and tired of every government screwing things up so my investments lose value every year. I guess my not being dependent on them really pisses them off. when everything is gone and I qualify for every supplement out there, I guess they will be satisfied.

  33. Buying the votes of stupid and/or irresponsible people is the principal Liberal/socialist modus operandi. There’s an infinite supply of money out there as long as some fools still try to be productive. It’s when these fools get wise and “go Galt” that the supply of things of value that money represents dries up. The cart then stops because there’s no horse to pull it anymore.
Try going to the grocery store to buy food when no product delivery has been made in several months. Bare shelves (as in Venezuela …) shall be seen everywhere when producers disappear.
It’ll be lots of fun! Welcome to Liberalism …

  34. Greetings from Carolina! I’m bored at work so I decided to check out your
