End stage socialism:Dying infants, chronic power outages and empty shelves mark the world’s worst-performing economy

World’s worst performing economy, Sask. NDP must hold that honour
This is the end result of all socialist governments. Some are just slower getting there.
These are just “growing pains” according to Sean Penn.
What Alberta will be by 2019 and Canada not far behind.
So, since we have been hearing in the news of serious drug shortages right here in Liberal/Socialist Canada shall we declare Canada the Venezuela of the North?
The links to the National Post and Wall Street Journal (in this case) are usually pay walled. Seems ironic that if you want to read about socialist suffering you have to pay for it.
So where did venezuela’s wealth go? Perhaps we could ask venezuela’s richest person Maria Gabriela Chavez. The daughter of dictator Hugo Chavez.
This reminds me of when Peeair trudeau forced Canadian taxpayers to buy his shares of petro Fina at artificially high prices. Made enough on that “deal” to create large trust funds for his children.
Surely by following that same socialist path as Venezuela we couldn’t possibly end up in the same situation?
The Venezuela of the north is Newfoundland. About the same debt to Gdp. With a massive bloated civil service and a former despot – Danny Williams – whose family wealth grew enormously while he was in power, living in Florida.
They have a 2 bb$ deficit this year and maybe have 40000 actual productive people.
All ism’s have consequences. Will our Socialists suggest importing more Venezuelan oil instead of using our own oil because Venezuela’s citizens are doing poorly and it’s the right thing to do? I think they would if they thought they could. This would tie in with the ideology of social globalism and keeping Canada green(using other countries oil!)and keeping our reserves in the ground until the barrel price increases(not sure they thought of this idea) or for that matter, forever.
It’s hard to think like a Liberal when I’m not driving my Prius in battery mode.
Socialism favours the poor and the oppressed. That’s why socialist governments make their people poor and oppressed.
Would you not include all of LIBERAL Atlantic Canada? Did they not get offended by the person who wanted to help them break what he called their culture of dependency? I’m thinking that culture of dependency is driven by something called “Equalization”, a Robin Hood policy politicos in Quebec love and now Ontario is a member of that culture as well. The joke is on them all, they’ve supported the Liberal/Left that has been killing the engine driving the economic engine of the country.
But! the children did not die in their “filthy humble homes” they died in the clean* sheets in the hospital.
*sheets that do not have to changed often due to dehydration of patients.
And the brain dead in the U.S. who are backing Comrade Bernie Sanders want to go down the same path. There apparently is NO cure for abject stupidity.
There might be similarities, but,if we have to be selective, with PM Selfie Care Bear on watch, we will be more on the path of the financial miracle of Greece, rather than Venezuela.
Now that’s a Pyhrric Victory.
Two items to really pay attention to coming, up, where Trudope “Hewnyur” really wants to turn Canada sharp left.
One- robbing Canadian pension plans, for his profligate spending plans. At question is, which plans is he going to expropriate, CPP? Likely. Ontariowe Teachers Plan. Likely, they are in mind meld with each other. Beyond that, who knows, OPM is an intoxicating drug for socialist despots with dreams of megalomania. They could also put forward legislation that dings EVERY pension plan (provincial, municipal, etc, public coffers as it were) to pay for their socialist plans. There are no bounds.
Of course the Fibs say its investments, yeah, whatever they have to say, at the moment, to fool the LIV seals that continue to eat their swallop.
Two- Negative Interest rates. Already being bandied about, and once other countries do it, especially those nice socialist quagmires, its easy for PM Dopestar to just go ahead and do it. Essentially, confiscation, and literally, the tipping point for the end of money as we know it.

I say it again. there are ‘laws’ in economics same as laws in physics.
incontestable, permeating all aspects.
the brain of man being full of ego thinks self above natural law and all required is an edict from on high. that nature will instantly accommodate said edict and fall in line as all the ignorant serfs.
but this entity called economics, which holds sway also on the planet xnvytkeneds where that substance with atomic number 79 is the basis of commerce, well it scoffs at these edicts and then pushes certain ‘buttons’ and lo, events obey its laws.
this is true regardless of the political ideology that spews from the same brain of man.
Stupidity is its own cure. But it takes too long because people keep interfering with it.
An english translation from El Universal newspaper in Caracas,
Time is running out…
“In 2008, all cement makers in the country were expropriated. In 2009, pasta manufacturing plant Cargill was also seized. That year as well, the government expropriated the wells of Monaca, a company that produced corn flour, pasta, among others. Other expropriated companies include cooking oil manufacturer Diana, dairy company Los Andes, coffee manufacturers Fama de América and Madrid, supermarket chains Cada and Éxito, glass company Owens Illinois, agricultural supplies company Agroisleña, and all the companies that provided domestic gas to Venezuelan homes.
In addition to these expropriations, steel and aluminum makers, most of them located in the southern region of Guayana, were nationalized, as well as oil services in Zulia state. Overall, approximately 1,500 companies were expropriated.
It goes without saying that nearly 4,000,000 hectares of Venezuelan land, that used to be productive when privately owned, were taken over by the State and have fallen into the abyss of unproductiveness. Do you remember Hato Piñero and so many other ranches?”
…
“And still they dare to talk about “economic war” or “investors on strike.”
…
“If that were not enough, we see that the president is disoriented, yelling insults, and calling thief the president of food company Polar, who should actually be decorated for his commitment to continue producing and investing.
The entire country knows that without Polar, shortages would soar exponentially and hunger would exhaust Venezuelans’ patience. Surveys show that 85% of Venezuelans would reject any measure the government could adopt against that company.”
“And now… inventories are depleting” http://www.eluniversal.com/opinion/160213/time-is-running-out
Those that think that Alberta’s wealth has anything to do with oil need only look at Venezuela, similarly endowed with natural resources. Alberta is wealthy because it had 45 years of business friendly government. Ralph Klein paid off the accumulated deficit with $30 oil. The present communist government is floundering with the same thing. They’re almost starving in Venezuela with the same thing. In 2016, why haven’t we figured out yet that communism doesn’t work?
Say, have you noticed how all the progressives have simply adopted radio silence procedure regarding Venezuela these days?
¿Hola?
¿Señor Penn?
¿Señor Moore?
¿Señora Rebick?
¿Señora Klein?
¿Dónde están ustedes?
If you COULD afford the Wall Strret Journal subscription, you would be … UH … voting for Bush
That is so TRUE ! The unwashed masses can DREAM all they want of some re-distributive nirvana … they can even institute it … by importing millions of greedy, needy, “refugees” to vote themselves the largess of “The 1%” … but you are correct ! The invisible hand will eventually smack them harder than a cage fighting champion. Idiots, the whole lot of em … useful or not.
Newfoundland is different from the rest of Atlantic Canada and more similar to Venezuela because it has oil and other mineral wealth yet has managed to squander it.
Maybe that explains the plight of the newspaper industry.
