Yes this is a slippery slope–reminds me of the book “The Giver” where they got rid of people who were thought to be of no use to society. i.e old people. Abortion in my view is euthanasia too…especially since it’s legal to abort a pregnancy up to full term in this country. I wonder how you live with your conscience if you do…solve the problem…bring in refugees to up the birthrate.. There was a Royal Commission Report on Assisted Dying written over 10 years ago. The issues discussed were complex…it said we already help the terminally ill to die but giving them morphine thereby slowing their bodily functions so they die. I would think some provinces would have problems with “assisted dying” as would a lot of legislators and especially doctors. How does this fit in with taking the Hippocratic oath…but maybe they don’t anymore. What is worrying is that dictator Turdeau dictates how his party members should think and vote. That’s not democracy…Harper was so different yet he was criticized for being controlling. But Turdeau is worse…what is he afraid of?
