  1. Seems a little odd to me that the people who have fought to keep our country safe have to move to make way for some folks who may or may not be terrorists.
As someone said in the comments a week or so back to all those do-gooders:
HOW MANY ARE YOU OFFERING ASSISTANCE AND ACCOMMODATION? none? HYPOCRITE!!!
Don’t see any Liberals lining up to offer space and money.

  2. Screwing over servicing soldiers so they can be ready to be really screwed over when they are Vets.
Because Liberals respect the Cdn. military.

  3. shameful.
    despicable and shameful.
    and sooooo typical of Liberals.
pierre turdoh roared around montreal on a motorcycle wearing a god**mn WW I GERMAN uniform MOCKING the Canadians embarking on the troop ships to deal with hitler’s outfit.
there used to be a gov’t website with trivia about various prime ministers with this story but seems its gone now. wonder why . . .

  4. Here’s a modest proposal: Move them into the universities. There’re lots of them and they’ve all got lots of housing. The students will love themselves even more for their sacrifice. Move the students out into the real world. Save them from their “higher-education” fate.
The professors will love it. The muzzies can all take women’s studies and cultural studies courses, and courses on social justice, which are about all the courses being taught, anyway.
C’mon, it’ll be real fun for the rest of us to watch.
    [Captcha is brutal]

  5. I still can’t believe all the military people who voted liberal. The ones I know weren’t sentient during the 1990s but still you’d think they’d do a little research.

  6. Currently, the rooms used by live-in CF members or CF members on course are quite nice; comparable to a hotel room. They have double or Queen sized beds, their own shower and bathroom, TV, refridgerators, etc, and they pay a lot in rent for them. The Liberals are now ordering them to move into the “transient” rooms, which are as bare bones as you can find. These rooms are just a big rectangular space with 4 to 10 bunkbeds therin. there are no washrooms, showers, furniture, or TV. They were designed for a bunch of folks to sleep in overnight for a short period of time. Now, the Soldiers who must move will need to pack all of their belongings in this space, they will have to share bathrooms and showers somewhere else in the building, and they will not have access to TV, or internet. In effect, the Liberals are bringing in Syrian refugees who are already living in stark conditions, and giving them all the comforts of home, while taking away these same comforts from real Canadian heros.
in effect, the Liberals are taking in Syrians and making them Canadians, and make the CF soldiers into refugess in their own country. One thing is for sure however, if you voted Liberal you cannot complain about it. the “Decade of Darkness” was not just a saying by the former CDS. it was an accurate statement about how the Liberal party feels about the Canadian military; regardless of what they tell you, or who they have in cabinet.

  7. No more bacon served on bases, I’m sure if this hasn’t already happened. No Christmas or Christmas symbols in the refugee part of the bases if not the whole base. Aren’t cadets in Cornwall training centre being moved as well? Are any journalists on this before implemented?

  8. I’m surprised that our soldiers aren’t being moved to tents with the plan being called Winter Maneuvers. Hatred of the military runs deep in the hearts of the new boys in charge of Canada. Like the old saying goes, ‘he learned at the feet of his father’, this is certainly true of junior trudeau.

  9. The ‘progressives’ have always viewed our armed forces as glorified social workers.
They don’t want fighters, they want ‘peacekeepers’.

“But if you don’t want to bomb a group as ghastly as ISIS, when would you ever support real military action … ?”
    ‘Terry, that’s a nonsensical question.’

  10. They should move the refugees to Native reserves…I bet they would be most accepting of newcomers! They would get free housing and support and health care, so the refugees would be right at home.

  11. From the comments of your “Tired, Poor, Huddled Masses” post of yesterday.

Rumour has it single military types are being evicted from pmqs to make room for this at an army camp near you!
To quote Mark Steyn ‘enjoy the decline’.
    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Near you means Saskatchewan and Alberta camps/bases are doing the same thing.

  12. I’ll take that with a grain of salt until I see confirmation. It wouldn’t be the first time such a hoax has been perpetrated.

“first they came for the queen-sized beds…”
say… don’t military bases all have nasty, racist firearms and explosives & ammo dumps? are our country’s military facilities really pierre-lite’s first choice to land an islamic diaspora from the very countries experiencing the murderous birth pains of the glorious new worldwide caliphate?
    just askin’.

  14. The military members won’t need too many comforts of home, given they’ll be working 24/7 supporting the operation, except for the schoolies and others lucky enough to get away for Christmas.
The uprooting of RMC cadets is the goofiest of all as they soon begin the tough marathon of Christmas exams. The fact they don’t live on campus in the first place is bad enough; thanks to Chretien for closing Royal Roads Military College in Victoria, we have that – an overcrowded RMC, and in spite of the surreptitious re-opening of CMR in St Jean. Maybe they could close the College and turn it all over and the cadets can get their education in H-huts.
The military leadership should have been dragged into this kicking and screaming; I hope they were. No doubt they’ll all buck up as they always do, but this is ridiculous according to my ex-military mind.

  15. Hmmm…
The PM residence on Sussex Drive is empty. Stornoway is or will soon be vacant.
Oh, lots of room at Rideau Hall too.
And, say, I’ll bet Andy Leslie could easily bunk down a few families at his place in Rockcliffe!

  16. don’t waste your bloody time complaining . Idiots voted for it and we got it, and are going to keep getting for the next four years unless we have a real revolution, which we will not, because we are dumm azz Canadians.

prime minister care bear just gave an interview to brit media claiming that because his name was trudeau… he had to be smarter and “work twice as hard” to become prime minister.
i guess justy’s never heard of the “paris hilton effect”.
    “sunny ways, my friends”

  18. How long will our military be inconvenienced by being moved out of their quarters? I am betting it will be years and then there will be a massive cost of renovating those quarters or will they become permanent refugee centres.

  19. Once again, if you support the troops, support the mission. You cannot have it both ways. To withhold support for their mission is to advocate their – and our – defeat.

  20. You know what? I think this is kinda funny.
Lots and lots of vets voted for turdo la doo because they bought into the BS that they were getting some kind of a raw deal under Harper. These “warriors” can bask in the newfound glory of their old regiments. By the time turdo la doo is done there’ll be some new handles.
    RCR: Rafts, Crafts and Retreats
PPCLI: Pillows, Popcorn, Cuddles, and Late-night Infant-feeding
RCDs: Royal Canadian Dismounted (or Discontinued)

  21. Nope. Sorry, I got nothin’. This is what the people wanted…this is what they’re going to get. I love our military…but I didn’t hear a peep from the upper echelons of the military before the election. Be it F-35 procurement…Liberal bathtubs masquerading as submarines scandal… the list goes on. NOTHING.
I’m just hunkering down for the big suck that’s coming my way. Bitter? Yup. I’m getting the government others deserve.

  22. Set them up in Camp Farnham, PQ. Ex POW camp. I think it still exists & probably “aged” more since I was last there. Stalag 17 style bunkhouses, three light bulbs & an oil stove, all with 4-holer exterior sh&tters. Not heated. Black flies galore in the summer. Need cold beer? stick it in yer barrack box at the foot of yer bunk.

  23. “I’ll take that with a grain of salt until I see confirmation. It wouldn’t be the first time such a hoax has been perpetrated.”
I was ready to jump-on-the-band-wagon as well, yet I will wait until I see confirmation also. By Friday we should know – unless the Media Party does not ask, which is very likely.
IF IT IS NOT TRUE , at the present, and somebody forged above document, then it gives the LIEberals an out.
Now IF IT IS TRUE I would ask why bases in Western Canada are subjugated to this atrocity use of militarily bases in Canada – they only have 29 ridings that are LIEberal. I would encourage to do this order on bases where they voted LIEberal, such as: Yukon, North West Territories, Nunavut, Maritimes (sorry JamesHalifax: NS voted them in – you are in a Den of Wolves), Ontario (Toronto area) and Quebec. The LIEberals always hated the military, this action “puts-the-icing-on-the-cake” for all to see. Where do the LIEberals think the military can train to fight terrorists … because the bullets and military maneuvers will offend the refuges.
I guess there will be no bacon or pork chops on bases. 15 days ago the military had stood proudly in uniform on Remembrance Day, and what do the LIEberals want to do? I heard the LIEberals want to disarm and have them in civilian clothes – how will they tell the ranks. Canadian Armed Forces should be proud of being in the military, and the uniform is very important. Taking the side arms away is what Obama had done … when they were attacked on base, nobody was able to defend themselves.
Public opinion can change these less-intelligent members of Paralament – like with 25,000 refuges by end of year – now extended to three months.
Does the military miss former Prime Minister Harper yet?

  24. Nicola:
I hope and pray that you are wrong about those changes being implemented for the refugees. That would mean a total reversal of former Prime Minister Harper’s stated priority of offering refuge to people who are facing active, on-going, brutal persecution, and further stating that, in Syria, the people who fit that description are predominantly Christian!
If junior’s plan turns out to bring in refugees that are exclusively, or even predominantly, muslim, then truly “Jesus wept” (John 11:35, KJV)

  25. Observations:
Obvious typo/spelling & grammar errors not of quality expected of military correspondence.
Military members have less rights than civilian population, who could not be compelled to vacate their homes under the “home is your castle” principle.
Is it somewhat ironic that, according to memo, CFSMI not required to move?. Canadian Forces School of MILITARY INTELLIGENCE.
PO’d. I stayed at Farnham in 1981. It was a s**thole then, probably not up to refugee standards, though likely fine for military members.
Apparently UN choosing refugees, so will be predominately Muslim (97%), in spite of fact 10% of Syrians are Christian and in the greatest danger, if not already cleansed of their lives and property.
Meanwhile, our government will cut CF35 program, with no viable alternative that makes any sense whatsoever, and seem in the process of killing off the emergency C & C Supply Ship/AOR, allowing political interference as their political friends insist on the expected preferential treatment on contracts.
kt – your point is ridiculous unless the “mission” is to remove military personnel from their homes.
The military are getting a piece of coal in their Christmas stockings, courtesy of mini-Pierre and his minions.

  26. Wow…were all you folks this upset when…
    * cons replaced lifetime pension for injured vets with a one time lump sum amount that is worth less?
    * that the navy rusted out under their watch?
    * that by the end of their tenure we were spending less as a % of GDP than the libs did?
    * that they argued in court they had no social contract with the vets?
    * shut down veterans offices?
Or, like the cons supporting the troops is just a photo op?

  27. Yes, but we understood the inability of Veterans’ Affairs to handle, not only the old warriors, but the new ones. Yes we understood Service Canada took the service function from those aforementioned failed bureaucrats. Yes we’ve noticed the Liberals want to rust out our fleet with trying to wiener/patronage out the new AOR. Yes, we understood the Grits want to cancel the CF, instead saddling Canada with a soon to be nearly useless 4th generation fighter likely at higher cost in blood & treasure.
Yes, we understood they tried to keep spending under control, as required by good government, unlike the bunch of fools we now have who think wisdom always entails enlarging government and tax revenues. Yes we understand you think increasing government spending, perhaps at 50% of GDP, like the good old days of PET, is a good thing; We understand it is not at all.
Yes we understood Chretien decimated the Canadian Forces and again saddled us with a political driven chopper that is already obsolete, very late and way over cost, along with sending our soldiers to a desert environment in green combats and tin cans for vehicles.
Yes, we understood the Tories didn’t cut spending and actually increased budgets across the board. Yes, we understood the Tories weren’t perfect but were a better lot than the Chretien and his moron MND parade (exception: Bill Graham who did a great job at the end imho) who gave the military the “decade of darkness.”
So, WE were here for all of that and made our comments clear; we understood, you want angry. BTW where the f**k were you?

  28. In the military is where I was, I lived through the decade of darkness. I see now the military cut to the bone by the Tories is where the F**k I was! And I saw them ignore vets while Rob Anders who sleeps through parliment calls vets “Putin Supporters” and can be guarenteed a higher pension than a vet who lost his legs in afganistan
So, when the Tories do wrong by the military like let the navy rust out do you stand up and be counted or just yell “TRUDEAU, CRETEIN, LIBERALS!!!!”
The military is just a political football to you guys and till you change that you will never understand why vets created a ABC campaign. Learn or lose, your choice.
