  1. I watched Mark’s speech commemorating the 10th anniversary of the “Mohammed cartoons” the other day and EBD is right, it is well worth watching.
Our society is increasingly afraid to speak up for western liberal democracy.

  2. Vintage Mark Steyn. Uncomfortable words for many.
I wonder why the man in the middle of the podium left before Mark was done?

  3. Mark Steyn just never ceases to amaze me with the staggering volume of his writings, speeches, conferences, blog posts and talks he is constantly doing. His speech in Copenhagen is a masterpiece and I have forwarded it to all my contacts. He is a passionate man but as he notes just a Cassandra to world leaders who continue to allow islam free reign.

  4. The word hero is tossed around so much that
it has become pretty well meaningless however
I submit that Mark Steyn is a hero in the
truest sense of the word. He isn’t scared
and doesn’t crap his pants worrying that
some offended nutcase muslim will put a
bulls-eye on his chest. The world needs
    more Mark Steyns.

  5. I do not normally click on long speeches as I have a short attention span. However, I love Mark Steyn’s gift of language – I learn so many new words. As I have previously posted in other comments, our family refers to the commissars as the “Human Wrongs Commissions”. Not a big fan of government employees OR of the thought police.
