Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Yup! Sure looks like the next big thing! Good thing that Morontario is so ahead of the curve.
Stinking Giant Fans are simply monuments to tyranny. For Progressives they are a testament to the domination and control they have been allowed to exert over society. I’m sure that Progressives such as Wynne must pinch themselves in the morning wondering, “If we can make society eat these Stinking Giant Fans, then we can make society eat just about anything!” And, with NDP winning in Alberta and the NDP strong federally, is there any doubt that they would be right?
OK, so wind power is functionally useless – the graph makes that clear. But it is just soooo European! to see all those windmills dot the North American landscape. And I’ll bet Mother Nature is just so proud of us all for at least trying …
How about a graph of wind power as a share of gravy train riding scumbags in the energy sector
The most exciting power plant I’ve ever encountered was at a resort in Montana many years ago. It was a 6-71 GMC Diesel genset that was nestled back in the woods so the guests could sleep at night. They had a backup genset that was powered by a WWII era industrial Ford 4 cylinder.
Wind generators are only practical where they have an internal combustion or other backup such as coal or nuke.
Exactly!. I have seen the eastern coastal areas of Denmark, the north shore of much of Germany and the beautiful forested hills of the Black Forest in Germany polluted with these monstrous eyesores.
“Wind generators are only practical where they have an internal combustion or other backup such as coal or nuke.” Plainstyre
You are thinking Big…try small… each “clustered” unit group of Wind mills need a Diesel backup Generator to prevent “daisy chain” failure. Those are seldom found in the “Reported” numbers. T.Boone Pickens & group are making a fortune providing these units.. Multiple units providing 24/7 backup to prevent a one Unit failure from resulting in a total meltdown of the farm.
Total cost has yet to be provided.
In James Delingpole’s inimitable words, they are “bird slicing, bat chopping, eco-crucifixes”.
Hardly worth the BLIGHT to our pristine landscape. For once I agreed with Ted Kennedy, when he refused to allow a forest of windmills off the coast of his oceanfront estate
