  1. what can one say. so many stupid people and so little time. I hope the captcha works a little better than the last captcha. please do not go to the one that identifies fruit, ice cream, sushi, and any other assortment of idiotic things that people my age might not even be able to identify.

  2. Listened to the CBC yesterday when I couldn’t get AM radio… They did a “news story” and always referred to “the Tories” and not once, “the government”.
Fire Them All and sell CBC to FOx

  3. 20 minutes on last nights “Brooooadcast” about how the conservatives paid back the money.
They’re so flummoxed and far up their own ### they made it sound like paying back the money’s a negative and illegal political response.
They even had a flow chart to help them try to understand it better to no avail.

  4. Some nobody at CBC twittered to-day that Cacklin’ Rose will replace Soloman as an interim host of P&P.
There are rumours floating around that the Cackler has a kid with a Liberal insider.
Has the CBC vetted their employees for possible conflict of interest concerns yet?

  5. Defund this clusterf***, this is this years robo-call.
There is little mention of the Liberal Senators scandals and the 4 million the dippers stole for opening offices……….crickets.
Meanwhile Juthro doing his famous impression of an empty paper bag wanders around trying to be relevant.

  6. Poor CBC! Yesterday Rosie complained it was like there was no election going on right now the way Canadians are not getting into it…”And there is only 4 months left before election night” she said gravely, like time was running out and the evil Conservatives will remain in power.
Rosie Barfton, the northern O’Donnell…Only a Liberal could ever have a…Ah, never mind.
CBC must go…Maybe it will be on Harper’s next “secret” agenda?…Go Stephen GO!

  7. Harper needs to make an executive decision that will hold his supporters. Dump the useless CBC now and make it an election issue that will seal the defeat of the liberals & dippers who may come to the CBC rescue. That is 6% CBC support (Counting children)
Reallocate the CBC savings to support the abolishing of Indian Affairs. That is the right thing to do!

  8. Sometimes I wonder if defunding this gigantic lamprey is even on anyone’s agenda.
Now don’t get me wrong …. PMSH and his government have done very well over the years however they have done a piss poor job of letting everyone know exactly how much the CBC is costing taxpayers each year and also pointing out the miniscule level of support that the broadcaster receives.

  9. “…Has the CBC vetted their employees for possible conflict of interest concerns yet?”
No, because that’s not a conflict of the CBC’s interest. The CBC always campaigns for a government that will protect and expand CBC jobs at the expense of Canadian taxpayers.

  10. Well, Mike Duffy is arguably a disgusting opportunistic pig at the trough, but he remains more desirable than those two douce bags who are salivating over his political and social demise.
CBC is the most disgusting place in Canada. First it’s the ‘alleged’ misogynistic displays by Ghomeshi. Followed by the opportunistic and somewhat underhanded monetary art dealings and greed by that little commie rat, Evan Solomon. Now we have these two nasty little juvenile delinquents spewing glee/bile at the life-sized model of the Pillsbury Dough Boy.
Canada is a circus and most of the clowns are in Toronto and Ottawa. I hate them all. Is that a hate crime?

  11. Watching Duffy flopping around with his defense team and the media praying, hoping, demanding a scandal is quite funny IMHO:
I was bribed I tell you, bribed. No, let me rephrase that – They bought my silence, without telling me – yeah, that’s it:
Christie Blatchford: At trial, Mike Duffy’s lawyer paints the suspended senator as victim of a $90,000 gift.
“Wright’s infamous bank draft for $90,172.24 — the foundation document for the bribery charge against the suspended P.E.I. senator — was made out to Duffy’s then-lawyer’s law firm on March 25, 2013, the same day Duffy wrote a cheque in the identical amount to the federal receiver-general for repayment of allegedly improper travel and living expense claims he’d filed.”
Duffy Lawyer, Bayne, examining Crown forensic accounting expert Grenon:
“If you wanted to conceal payment,” Grenon said in his mild way, “you’d have asked for the advice of a forensic accountant … and you could have concealed it.”
“I didn’t say he (Wright) did it perfectly,” Bayne said with a chortle.
“I don’t think this was done with the intent to hide,” Grenon replied.
“How can you say that?” Bayne asked, apparently incredulous.
“Because it (the transaction) should have been layered,” Grenon said, adding that those who want to conceal or launder money use multiple layers between source and recipient, and that the Wright transaction had only one.
“This is not the way to do it,” Grenon said.
“Not the best way,” Bayne said.
    “Not any way,” Grenon replied.

  12. Getting rid of the cbc would never be an election issue or the platform of any party. They are irrelevant but do have enough support to make a fuss. There are not enough votes in it to sway the outcome of one riding in the entire country so I think Harper’s take on it has largely been correct. Do nothing.
Sure the billion dollars a year they receive bugs me as much as anyone but going after them…….there are more important issues that resonate with voters. You would get blow back in quebek that you don’t need and almost the entire broad cast industry would rally behind them. Ezra excluded and maybe some minor complaining at the Nat Post but that’s about it, why kick the hornets nest?
They are destroying themselves anyway. Let it continue. Each year they are further in the rear view mirror.

  13. “Canada is a circus and most of the clowns are in Toronto and Ottawa”
Canada is a corporation and all of us outside of Ontario are the corporation’s possessions. I hope that Ontario chooses to vote CPC, not for the sake of democracy, but for the sake of the continued existence of the corporation. I have my doubts.

  14. Has anyone yet found out why hockey host (George Popadopolous?) no really, I can’t recall his name, was never seen on close-up during CBC’s coverage of the NHL series? I can’t persoanlly stand the guy, but I actually began feeling sorry for the guy – I mean – how demeaning is that?!

  15. The Conservatives should have privatized this waste called the CBC in the first year of the mandate.
Nobody would have missed it by now and who knows, they might have even become a profitable private network by now.
    That’s what majorities are for.

  16. I hope they connect Pierre E Trudeau, Duffy and other members of the CBC to the Ottawa CLUB….. Wright may be a member. The CBC production Crew of the Kreskin show….got in trouble in Winnipeg….

  17. “There are rumours floating around that the Cackler has a kid with a Liberal insider.”
*snicker* … I see what you did there …

  18. Aren’t both of those assholes married to Liberals or in relationships with Liberals?

  19. I just don’t watch any CBC news anymore. On The National it generally takes far too long to get to any headline of substance.
I have no doubt at all that if Armageddon were imminent there would be 15 minutes of native and transgender issues before Peter or Wendy announced the world was coming to an end.

  20. “Listened to the CBC yesterday when I couldn’t get AM radio… They did a “news story” and always referred to “the Tories” and not once, “the government”.”
Wait for a positive funding announcement, one that will be applauded by Canadians, then they’ll remove any and all references to the brand of the governing party, not wanting them to curry favor with Canadians it would seem. In that instance generic substitutes used. “The federal gov’t providing tax relief for Canadians in one story; “Tories cutting social programs” for another. And in some instances, they’ll combine the party brand with the PM’s name, hence “Harper Tory gov’t”. I guess they don’t want Canadians to confuse it with a non-existent provincial gov’t led by a Liberal premier with the same name.
Unethical appoaches to journalism is a prerequisite for joining their ranks.
