Political Correctness is much like a rigged poker game where feminists almost always hold the better hand. Almost always. The one case where they intuitively KNOW they will LOSE is in any battle with Muslims. That’s why you won’t hear a whisper from the usual suspects over this:
Muslim boys high school soccer team refuses to play against team with 2 girls
A boys soccer team from ISNA Private Islamic High School refused to finish a game because two females were on the opposing team during a Brampton tournament on May 26.
Robert F. Hall Catholic School, in Caledon does not have a girls team so the two females played on the senior boys team, which was approved by the Region of Peel Secondary School Athletic Association (ROPSSAA).
During halftime, the ISNA Private Islamic High School team brought the concern to the referee. Robert F. Hall Catholic School school was winning the game 3-1 at that point.
I wonder if the Muslim school has to teach the pervy sex ed curriculum like the Catholic one does. I wonder if the Muslim school would be forced to allow a student to bring his gay partner to a school event. Muslims might be able to push back against the feminist mafia, but I’d love to see what happens when they cross the gay mafia.

The girls are allowed to play – kudos to them for politely dealing with the immediate problem and allowing their cohorts to continue kicking the other team’s @ss.

If the ISNA team cannot compete under the rules as they exist they should withdraw from the tournament and disband the team. Or file an automatic forfeiture for any scheduled game where he other team has a female member.

There should have been no accomodation. It is a clear forfeiture. You don’t want to play under Canadian rules. Don’t play and forfeit the game. The blckmail trick they pulled because they were losing has no honour. Losers!
I am in favour of not allowing muslims to participate in anything in Canada.
Traditional feminism is irrelevant to women today. Whatever we see masquerading as “feminism” these days has nothing to do with gender equality – it is about cultural Marxist group identity stereotyping and spreading hatred of the middle class – most of the old left wing causes have degenerated to this core premise and PC leads the way in promoting gender/race baiting hate messaging.
The left have jumped the shark and frankly need to be roundly ignored and marginalized by the majority of properly adjusted citizens with responsibilities. There is no Leftist cause worth the cost of ink to repeat it in the MSM.
I must say that it is very considerate of the ISNA team to self-identify as Islamist rat bags in this way. It’s always nice to know who’s who and what’s what, if you know what I mean.
Oh, and instant forfeiture of the game, banned for the season if they do it twice. You play by the rules, or you don’t play. Nobody gets Special Rules.
And remember friends, Fair Play is a uniquely British concept. It must be Taught, capital T. It seems the adults at ISNA never learned it, and are in serious need of a Lesson, capital L.
Now that’s going too far. Remember Canada has emigration, not just immigration.
The problem here is that if girls are allowed to play in boys teams, then boys should be allowed to play in girls teams, and boys being usually bigger, stronger, faster will crush the other team of girls
and that is when girls will complain it is unfair
It is a scientific fact that the average man has 40% more strenght than the average woman, they should not play in the same team

How will athletics work in the Ontario school system under the Wynne government’s 6 (or is it 7) gender philosophy? I guess there will just be one team and girls will cease to qualify. While there are occasions to compromise and it can be admirable, those 2 girls just destroyed 50 years of women’s gains. In today’s climate, perhaps we need to ask – were these natural girls or boys with their balls cut off? They acted like boys sans balls.

The point of having segregated teams in high school is to make it fair. If Caledon is too small/doesn’t have the budget for a girl’s team, and their boy’s team is willing to take the performance hit by letting the girls play, that’s fair.
I could be wrong on this issue, but I think “everybody plays” is a high school soccer rule too. No sitting people on the bench to let the stars shine.
“No girls allowed” is not a rule. Girls are specifically allowed. Benching players because they’re girls breaks a variety of rules. Throwing the game because you don’t get to have special rules for your team only which don’t appear in the rulebook is -cheating-.
Cheaters get tossed out, or there’s no point to playing the game.

The girls playing really isn’t that big a deal. There’s well-written exceptions to the rules to handle the basic problem (not enough girls at RFHCS to fill a full team, and girls that wanted to play soccer), it’s not a contact sport, and they had to pass the tryouts like everyone else.
I’m going to side with the girls on this one, actually – the decision whether or not to make a political stand was up to the teachers and the coach. The two girls voluntarily withdrew so the rest of their team could continue playing a match they were winning, rack one up in the win column, the rest of their team that’s traveled all the way to the pitch gets to play the full game, etc. They literally took one for the team, and I think that’s admirable.
Teenage boys being who they are, I’m guessing there were rather a lot of personal fouls against ISNA in the second half that went unremarked.
I don’t wear ties. They cut off blood flow to the brain.
But by all means, if you want to raise boys to hit girls, go ahead and put the girls on the boys teams. Let’s get the girls playing rugby with the boys while we’re at it. How long do you think Hayley Wickenheiser would last in the NHL, one shift, one body check?

The main issue of this thread as I see it is the Muslim team coach forcing the young women off the field, and thereby injecting some sharia law. This should not be allowed to happen in a free country.
Whether or not the girls should be on the boy’s team or not is an unrelated issue, and this does occur in many situations. Phantom and Ream make good points.

The mean old man in me would love to hear the truth about the season Hayley Wickenheiser spent playing in the Finland men’s elite league. Either it’s a “pansy” league, or someone told the other players to go easy on the Canadian woman.
In my sons high school football league, there were lots of girls. None of them were any good but they were needed in a rural league to maintain numbers. The discussion ended 20 or 30 years ago. Non issue.

I’m disappointed the Catholic school team didn’t stand with their teammates (at least we can’t tell from the news story) – as in “you play or we’re all not playing ’cause this stinks.” If you’re okay with them being on your team, you stand with them.
