  1. The last poll (IPSOS Apr. 29-15) ) shows that the Wildrose and the PC still command 50% of the vote. Not hard to form an alliance.
Installing an NDP government in Alberta is like installing torch lights in a warehouse full of fireworks. For God’s sake Alberta, wake up!! One half of your population is Saskatchewan residents who fled this province to seek refuge in yours. This was a third world province until Brad Wall and the Sask Party cleaned house. We can still see the dust rise over the Eastern horizon from the socialist rats fleeing Regina!

  4. There are many people who no longer answer the phone, but screen all calls, like myself. With caller ID, on the TV no less, I don’t move my fat a$$ unless its a friend or relative, let it go to the message. All 800 numbers are NOT answered, neither are the calls from “Ontario”, “Quebec” or other far off lands. Either scam calls, call centers selling stuff I don’t want, or slanted polls.
The days of accurate polling are over, they are no longer completely random.
If ALberia does go commie (very hard to believe possible), its GREAT news for BC and Saskatchewan, as Alberta will be rendered a third world state, as all the oil money will dry up, and somehow, the eco-dippernutters will find the Made in Alberta Depression something to be proud of.

Sometimes you let them win a small battle so that you can win the war.
The NDP will decimate Alberta, a much needed correction in Alberta’s bubble economy anyway. They’re reign of terror will be as short lived as Kim Campbell’s crazy run as PM.
Albertan’s (The ones that stayed) will never ever dream of voting left thereafter.
It’s time to flush the toilet on the Progressive sewer the leftists have been turning Alberta into over the last couple of decades.

  6. …and with the onset of Euthanasia laws…
Enjoy your retirement. When the socialists do take over, it may be short lived.
I must admit I have a great disdain for leftists and statists, to the point where I would say they are pure evil.

  7. What it seems we are witnessing here is the break up of the Progressives and the Conservatives. Ever since Lougheed with the exception of the populist Klein, Alberta has been drifting ever closer to the progressive ideal expressed most succinctly by the NDs. The only question is who is most able to get out the vote the Progressives or the Conservatives. My hope is for the Conservatives because I have witnessed the destruction of societies where ever the progressive ideals are let loose.
There is an interesting story in the Bible (1 Samuel 8) where Israel decide they want a king to rule over them instead of being free men before God. Is it true that Alberta has finally rejected God?

“Is it true that Alberta has finally rejected God?”
No, Alberta in its great kindness was infiltrated by the devil and it’s demons who then opened the door to thousands upon thousands of Third World squatters and foriegn students who liked the free stuff the demons promised them.

  9. Why the shot at Albertans?
Maybe because we’re fed up with all this “harder working, smarter, handsomer, and better in bed” BS we in Ontario have had to put up with for the last 20-30 years. You were FREAKIN’ LUCKY that there’s a bunch of oil under your province. Now, good for you that it’s there, and yep, it’s hard work getting that oil out, but if not for all the people who did come from NF, NS, and ON to work in the fields, a lot of it would still be underground. I didn’t believe in the NEP then, and would not support it now, but that oil didn’t get there because Albertans are smart or hardworking. It’s geological LUCK. It’s like having to listen to some clown who won a lottery tell you how his lavish house and car are the result of him being smarter than you. Um, NOT.
And, as I have to remind all you Eastern-bashing Albertans frequently, Alberta is the ONLY PROVINCE IN THE HISTORY OF CONFEDERATION TO DEFAULT – that’s DEFAULT as in welsh, deadbeat, refuse to honour one’s obligations DEFAULT – on their provincial debt. My, how the entire province got so smart after a bunch of towel-heads in OPEC decided to raise oil prices, and you cashed in on the windfall.
So, ya, comeuppance is a b*tch, isn’t it? I’d like to see what another decade of $50/bbl oil does to you puffed-up peabrains, except that it would be bad for the entire country, and I’m not such a tool that I’d bite off my nose to spite my face.

    Yikes, such anger.
Don’t be offended if I say that you sound a little like Rosseane Barr getting pissed off at Charlize Theron because she’s beautiful and talented, and has a great personality. Did I mention she’s good looking as well. 🙂

  11. KevinB,
How would you react if I stated that Ontario’s success in manufacturing is due solely to it’s geographical proximity to the Great Lakes, the St. Lawrence Seaway, and the industrial heartland of the U.S.?
I won’t because I genuinely fear you might have the big one.

  12. ]While walking down the street one day
a Member of Parliament is tragically hit by a truck and dies.
His soul arrives in heaven and is met by St. Peter at the gates.
‘Welcome to heaven,’ says St. Peter.
‘But before you settle in, there seems to be a problem.
We seldom see a high official around these parts, you see,
so we’re not sure what to do with you.’
‘No problem, just let me in,’ says the man.
‘Well, I’d like to, but I have orders from higher up.
What we’ll do is have you spend one day in hell and one in heaven.
Then you can choose where to spend eternity.’
‘I’m sorry, but we have our rules.’
And with that, St. Peter escorts him to the elevator
and he went down, down, down to hell.
The doors open and he found himself in the middle of a lush golf course.
In the distance is a clubhouse
and standing in front of it are all his friends
and other politicians who had worked with him.
Everyone is very happy and dressed in evening dress.
They rush to greet him, shake his hand and reminisce about the good times they had
while getting rich at the expense of the people.
They played a friendly game of golf
and then dined on lobster, caviar and champagne.
Also present is the devil, who really is a very friendly & nice guy
who has a good time dancing and telling jokes.
They are having such a good time
that before he realizes it, it’s time to go.
Everyone gives him a hearty farewell and wave whilst the elevator rises….
The elevator rises and the door opens in heaven
where St. Peter is waiting for him.
‘Now it’s time to visit heaven.’
So, 24 hours pass with the MP joining a group of contented souls
    moving from cloud to cloud,
    playing the harp and singing.
They have a good time and, before he realizes it,
the 24 hours have gone by and St. Peter returns.
‘Well, then, you’ve spent a day in hell and another in heaven.
    Now choose your eternity.’
The MP reflects for a minute, then he answers:
‘Well, I would never have said it before,
I mean heaven has been delightful,
but I think I would prefer hell.’
So St. Peter escorts him to the elevator
and he goes down, down down to hell.
    When the doors open –
He’s in the middle of a barren land covered with waste and garbage.
He sees all his friends, dressed in rags, picking up the trash
and putting it in black bags as more trash falls from above.
The devil comes over to him and puts his arm around his shoulder.
I don’t understand,’ stammers the MP.
    ‘Yesterday I was here
and there was a golf course and clubhouse,
and we ate lobster and caviar,
drank champagne, danced and had a great time.
    Now there’s just a wasteland
full of garbage and my friends look miserable.
    What happened? ‘
The devil looks at him and says,
“Yesterday we were campaigning… Today you voted.”
