Any sewage systems designed before the 90s are built for high volume flush. Yes every slope us calculated or done off a chart.
My house built in the 70s has the low slope old style exit plumbing to the street
At the end of every month I turn on every tap and flush all the low flush toilets starting at the top of the house and all the way down including the washing machine and back up again. Only way to clear to the street mainline which is nearly a 50 gallon fill
It’s a good idea. My daughter changed all (3) toilets to low flush and 2 months later had a sewer plug up. First one ever in the 6 years they lived there. I convinced them to fill up the bath tub once a week with straight hot water and then pull the plug (extended string on the plug chain) and let ‘er drain. No problems in over a year now. Cheap insurance.
i keep the “the earth is my toilet” toilets in my home because nothing looks more pretty than seeing a big huge log of human excellence swirl the bowl for 30 seconds than an old fashioned 5 gallon flusher with 2000 flushes to renew and replenish the awesomeness until i brew anoth alberta beef induced log of human excellence. if this bothers you and you are offended. you are either part of or the intire problem with humanity!!
