  1. And Newfs should not be allowed to vote after they move to Alberta (Newfs should not be allowed to vote anywhere, but that’s another discussion.

  2. Yes it’s all the “newfs” fault. Haha good one John. Most newfs in AB don’t reside in Redmonton or Lethbridge, try Fort Mac and rural AB.
I’ve been here 17 years and voted for Klein every time, Morton for leader of PC, reform when I lived in Red Deer and a Libertarian candidate in 2008.The first party I ever donated to was the CRAP party and Stephen Harper back in 04. Had a subscription to the Western Standard (still got the Libranos tshirt!!) and was a regular at the shotgun blog, that’s how I found my way here waaaayyyy back. Voted Wildrose last time in AB and just donated to both Wildrose candidates in my rural area this time.
Most of the newfs out here vote centre right, we ran away from the liberals @rsehole haha. I know 100s of Newfs out here and politically none of them are leftys. I bring up politics around them all the time cause I’m wired that way and they think Danny Williams is a charlatan wind bag and Trudeau a fooking moron.
If Albertans want to see who is voting NDP all they have to do is look in the mirror.
    Cheers y’all!

  3. From the comment section of the article:
Hurtin Albertan21 April, 2015 16:11 “I’ve got a feeling this election is going to be an even bigger disaster for pollsters than 2012.”
These are interesting polls, yet, as seen at last election, they were ALL wrong. This can happen again. I heard on the radio the day after election one caller saying that he did not go and vote since the Wildrose Party was going to win. If the polls are too high for the Wildrose Party again, then there is a good chance it will happen again and the Wildrose Party will be in second place.
The main reason the NDP are ahead in the larger cities is that ALL those UNION MEMBERS are voting to KEEP THEIR JOBS. They tell their friends to vote NDP, and many will, because they will be convinced that their “union friends” are telling the truth. I have yet to see any province that elected a NDP government was not a disaster … example: Saskatchewan … after the NDP were defeated, they boomed … and continue to grow. (Though the LIEberals in Ontario are doping just as good as the NDP would in making it a “have-not-province.”)
All that matters is that voters get out and vote for the candidate of their choice … the one who represents their views, not necessarily the party, but the person … but, GET OUT AND VOTE.

  4. Speaking of Wild Rose Country – and just a bit off topic, can anyone tell me why, during the play-offs between Vancouver and Calgary, that the CBC coverage refuses to show Popadopolous (or whatever his name is) in close-up while Hrudy and the other spokesmen are? Has he got a pimple on his nose, or what? I don’t care to look at him anyway, have never liked the man, but there has got to be a reason for them avoiding the close-ups.
