The actual history is with 30% + unemployment Canada, in the 1930’s slowed down immigration to a trickle of what it was in the previous ten year period and actually, as a percentage of total Immigration, increased the number of Jews allowed into the country.
And of course being Catholic and a Quebecer he will know his own history that by far the most anti Semitic sentiments in Canada were promoted by the Quebec Catholic Church and cheered on by Quebec unions and workers.

I can’t stand even listening to Trudozos voice, he sounds like a lisping teenage girl the first time they drank alcohol. What an actor, so very seriously reading the script some other leftist freak wrote. The Liberals have obviously decided to accept the advice of Liberal pollster Frank Graves and wallow in the specious and divisive practice of “culture wars”, the truth be damned and power at any cost. This is going to be the fug ugliest election campaign ever.
Yet the most consistent lib supporters are Jewish . I never get that
All of us have said things in conversation or in passing that were not well thought out, or could be easily contradicted by investigating a few facts. The scary thing about JT is that his idiocy is in prepared public statements. Sending mountain gear to counteract terrorism? Comparing wearing a face covering (a sign of a culture that often wants to murder Jews) with sending Jews back to face murder? Not being aware which party turned the Jewish refugees away? Does he not think about anything other than image of the moment? Does anybody around him ever bring facts into the room?
Surely the Fils is aware of his father’s sympathies and activities during the Second World War and how they were the opposite of 55,000 volunteers from Quebec?
Not that this sad, little ploy has anything to do with actual history or anything.

CBC thought his speech was great (Rosemary Barton and crew)! They all thought it was well crafted and he delivered it magnificently. It was also credit to Butts as the likely speechwriter. Nobody was under any allusion that JT wrote it. We should start calling JT “Marion”, as in “marionette”.
