A Public Engagement Goes Horribly Wrong

Via email;

Gord Miller, The Environmental Commissioner for Ontario – land of alternative energy, debt, taxes, and corrupt government – feels that “Governments should honestly advise the public about the risks they face, and the responsibilities they will bear, in a changing climate.”
He thoughtfully provided a spot for feedback at the bottom

Update: so far the moderator seems … unengaged.

  1. Today the entire comment submission field, as well as the one permitted leftard comment implying warming skepticism is equivalent to condoning slavery, are completely gone. Absolutely amazing – not.

  3. Bah…we all know none of the comments would get through the moderator. In fact he/she/it/they (excessive pronouns to be lgbtqmpcf compliant) got so sick of rejecting every comment except one that they just shut the comments off altogether.

  4. Pkuster, thank you for posting this lead in yesterday’s SDA reader tips. My circle of malcontents has submitted our own comments (never published, of course). I just read that the comments section at the government webpage has now disappeared. We’ve passed this story on to a couple of other media contacts; perhaps other readers here could do the same. This Ontario Liberal government knows no shame. Let’s shine a light on the devious rodents.

    It is classic Liberal arrogance to claim that “the public” can’t source their own information, draw conclusions for themselves, and adapt on their own without intervention by the nanny state (ie. meddling, self-interested bureaucrats). Therefore, you contend that the masses and politicians must be manipulated by propaganda to artificially steer political policy – a process already well established (ie. the MPP endangered species playing cards: IveyEndangeredSpecies_v7.pdf). Alternate consideration: “regular people” like me (a 7th generation university educated farmer) can sort bullshit from fact and will vote accordingly, knowing that the meager returns from my toil will be ultimately used to pay the salaries and expenses of AGW academics, their supportive bureaucracies, and the deleterious effects of their debilitating regulations. Maybe THAT’S why some politicians have been wary to climb aboard the bullshit train.

    Next step: Change the title, since it’s really inappropriate now.
