  1. I had the misfortune of working in the Tenderloin (in any other city, it would be called Skid Row) from late May 1999 to early April 2001. Virtually every day, I would see people squatting between buildings to defecate, people sleeping in the doorways to office buildings, and many other rather scenic things. San Francisco was actually a very nice city in the early 1970s, hippies and all, but it’s just a pit today.

  2. I don’t recall Scott McKenzie singing about that aspect. Course gonorrhea and drug overdoses didn’t make the final cut either.

  3. Any place that has socialist or progressive government for too long acquires a distinctive feces smell.
Some of the comments are priceless. Particularly about half way down.

  4. Do they have gay, homeless crapping people too? After hippies, San Fran was famous for its gay population. I wouldn’t want them to be overlooked on the map. Inclusion is the word of the day. Well, besides excretion…

  5. The stink of faeces just means it’s party time for many of San Francisco’s inhabitants.

  6. This is what the Liberal left demands be exported and imported around western civilization.
    Sharing.

  7. Three questions.
    Where do they get paper?
    Do they use paper?
If the city knows where these “hot spots” are couldn’t they put in portable toilets?
    Curb your dog.

  8. 9. San Francisco…The Leading Edge of California progressivism.
    Detroit redux..??
Seems to me its well on it’s way into the ever expanding sewer pit of Socialist excrement…Bankrupt socially, we now await the same monetarily.

  10. I was working in Port au Prince just over a year ago. The place was still devastated from the earthquake and piles of rubble were everywhere. But despite that, other than one open sewer which made the back of your throat and your eyes water, what impressed me was how clean the streets and sidewalks were. The Haitians swept the sidewalks in front of their homes and businesses, picked up all the litter, and there was no dog poop, let alone human excrement to be seen anywhere. They could do it. What the h@ll’s wrong with SF? (Don’t answer, I know.)
