  1. Wow. I’m glad I have a moral and intellectual superior elite protecting me from my “Christian fundamentalist” views of science!.!.!
A member of the Media Party in Ottawa writes a book to explain the Reform/Conservative party doesn’t trust the Media Party because they “saw the public service as an enemy and the Christian fundamentalists among them saw science as a left-wing enemy wanting to shut down the oil industry with bogus climate change science.”

  2. Roy Rogers was just one of a host of entertainers that we grew up with in the 50’s. The Lone Ranger, Rifleman, Lawman and dozens of others kept us entertained on cold winter nights.
Today, most of everything on TV is total trash. And if it’s not trash, it’s a re-run you’ve seen 20 times.
They had a good western series last year named ”Longmire” on A&E, however the series was cancelled and will be available on Netflix only.

  3. And so it begins…the media will be in hyper mode with anti-Harper rhetoric as we head to the election.

  4. “A member of the Media Party in Ottawa writes a book to explain the Reform/Conservative party doesn’t trust the Media Party….”
Funny that his publisher, Harper-Collins is the same as cranked out that world Atlas with Israel missing……

  5. Price in Alberta about .85$ Cdn x .71 = .60 Euros. Slightly above the US average of .57 on that Chart.

  6. China moving into Afghanistan? This might not be all bad, as at least they will not be serving tea and crumpets to the Taliban when they catch them.

  7. The best thing about DVD is that you can buy your favorite old classic TV series and watch your favorite episodes

  8. Yes sometimes it’s easy to forget we live in a theocratic dictatorship.. but thankfully soldiers in the streets with guns, and journalists, are there to remind everyone.

  9. A Lumberton NC man traded gunfire with three men who forced their way into his home, robbed the family, tried to rape his granddaughter and stole his car Monday, Robeson County authorities said.
One of the men, identified as Jamie Faison, 20, was shot and found dead in the stolen Cadillac parked at his home.
The two other men turned up at area hospitals with gunshot wounds. … The homeowner, Kenneth Byrd, 67, grabbed a gun when one of the men tried to rape his granddaughter, he was also shot multiple times, but not seriously injured. …
Grandfathers with guns could be your worst nightmare..

Feminists had no comment, as these would-be rapists were not members of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity.

  10. Think that is wasteful? Well, here in the CRD (Communist, er, Capital Regional District (Victoria)), our precious food waste has turned into a life of its own.
A local ‘company’ was tasked with taking the food waste last year, to compost and recycle, in Central Saanich. However, food scraps are icky and stinky, and the NIMBYs in the area (who say they are green and support recycling, etc, etc, blah, blah, blah) complained. Despite the agtricultural property being zoned correctly for the usage of composting, the municipality, part of the CRD by the way, shut it down.
Now all the precious food waste is TRUCKED off the island, via BCFerries, to a maniland facility.
There is no end to the WASTE at the CRD…….can hardly wait to move out of here as soon as the kids are on their own.
FWIW, I garburate almost everything, except husks, bones and shells. And yes, those facing the biggest fines and penalties are the restaurants…..typical activist government, business is the enemy…..again.

  11. MCF. If only these writers could preface their remarks with: “btw this is just my biased opinion and I have nothing whatsoever to substantiate my views.”

“Pope Embraces False Prophets Of Doom – Why I’m Disassociating Myself From The Vatican And Church”
“I’m Catholic and this Sunday I’m announcing that I’m disassociating myself from the Vatican and its pope. I urge other skeptic Catholics to do the same. This is not a step I’ve taken likely.
I’ll be opting out of Germany’s Kirchensteuer (Church Tax) and will not attend any services in the future. With their latest planned encyclical they are indicating that they shifted back to the Dark Ages of bad-weather witches, superstitions and Medieval indulgences. Worse they are openly subscribing to nutty end-of-times theories.”

“The Pope’s Mistaken Moral Calculus On Global Warming”
“Pope Francis evidently has decided to make fighting global warming an important papal cause in 2015. He praised the United Nations’ climate treaty efforts in Lima, Peru; the Vatican has indicated he will issue an encyclical letter to the world’s bishops; he is encouraging the world’s 1.2 billion Catholics to take up the battle against climate change; and he’s planning to address the next UN climate conference in Paris to pressure world leaders to adopt a strong climate agreement.”

Much like boring out a hypodermic needle one size bigger!

  14. “Carbon credits like medieval indulgences”
“As a bishop who regularly preaches to congregations of every age and at widely different levels of prosperity and education, I have some grasp of the challenges in presenting a point of view to the general public. This helps me to understand the propaganda achievements of the climate extremists, at least until their attempted elimination of the Medieval Warming and then Climategate. I was not surprised to learn that the IPCC used some of the world’s best advertising agencies to generate maximum effect among the public.
In the 1990s we were warned of the “greenhouse effect,” but in the first decade of the new millennium “global warming” stopped.”
